INT. HOSPITAL BIRTH WARD - NIGHT

The room is stark white. The medical equipment is old and
outdated.

KIM (19) a used looking girl with a thin, bony face and
hollow eyes lies on the table. Her long black hair is
covered with sweat and matted to her head. Her legs are
spread out in the stirrups, she's covered with a pale blue
sheet.

A NURSE (40, female) in blue hospital scrubs stands beside
her.

A DOCTOR (50, male) is bent down in front of Kim's
outstretched legs.

                       DOCTOR
Push damn it! Push!

Kim pushes hard, GRUNTS.

The Nurse strokes Kim's tortured face.

                       NURSE
You can do it Kim!

                       DOCTOR
Harder!

Kim bears down hard, lets out a blood curtailing SCREAM.

The NEWBORN BABY CRIES.

The Doctor's eyes widen.

                       DOCTOR
Oh God!

                       KIM
What? What's wrong!?

                       DOCTOR
It's the baby there's something
wrong, it's, there's--

                       KIM
What! What is wrong with it?

The Doctor holds the Newborn Baby up to Kim, his body
obstructs the view of the newborn.

Kim GASPS.

SUMMER (16 female) an innocent, angelic beauty lies in bed
underneath a white sheet, eyes closed.

Sunlight shines on her pale face, radiates the dark hair
that flows over her shoulders.

The sharp BEEP BEEP BEEP from an alarm clock rouses Summer.

She SMACKS the alarm clock and the beeping stops.

Summer slowly crawls out of bed, stands, stretches. She
wears pink pajama bottoms and oversized t-shirt that hangs
from her petite frame.

INT. CLASSROOM - DAY

The dilapidated room is dimly lit, the filthy white walls
are in desperate need of being painted.

BILL (16, male) is the only student in the room. He's
skinny and frail. He wears a green army jacket, torn jeans
and black boots. He sits at a small graffiti covered desk
with his head down. His long dark hair covers his face.

The door CREAKS.

Bill lifts his head slightly and stares at RICKY'S (19)
dirty boots as he walks toward him.

Ricky stops at Bill's desk. Ricky wears a camouflage coat,
brown pants and an orange hunting cap.

                       RICKY
Did you think you was safe in
here?

Bill looks up at Ricky, stares him in the eyes.

                       RICKY
Stand up Bill.

Bill turns his head from Ricky, gazes absently at a
chalkboard.

Ricky violently kicks the legs of Bill's desk.

                       RICKY
I said stand up Bill!

Ricky grabs a handful of Bill's long hair and pulls him from
his chair.

                       BILL
Just leave me alone Ricky!

4.

Ricky pushes Bill against the wall, bits of plaster fall
from the ceiling.

Bill turns, attempts to walk away. Ricky grabs his jacket.

Bill twists, tries to free himself.

Ricky throws Bill to the ground, bends over him and spits in
his face.

lockers that line the hall are immaculately clean as if
freshly painted.

Bill opens a locker, removes a book from a backpack and puts
it in his locker. His hair is pulled back neatly in a pony
tail.

Summer walks up behind him.

                       BILL
It's just that were I used to be,
well cheerleaders didn't usually
talk to me.

Summer looks perplexed.

                       SUMMER
Why not?

Bill looks away.

                       BILL
NO!

Bill begins to bang his head against the mirror over and

piece and falls to his knees.

Bill drags the glass over his wrist, a wound opens, blood
seeps out.

Excellent job, hooked me!

From Chantell Monique Date 9/14/2005 **1/2
You have a fantastic idea on teenage angst. If you take the time and build up Bill's terrible life with his father and brother, then build up his relationship with Summer I think you can shock everyone with how she wasn't real and how sick he really was. I beg you to really look deep down and tell the story because I think it's a good one!

From steve Date 9/13/2005 *1/2
interesting, but predictable and too short. If it was more elaborated on, many of the scenes elements would make more sense rather than just leading nowhere.

From Reese Aportela Date 9/10/2005 ****
Whoa. INTENSE! Very good.
