FADE IN:

INT. WINDING HALLWAY - NIGHT

A person, MAJORA, wearing a robe and black shoes, is walking
down a long, winding, and dark hallway, lit only by torches.
All that is seen of Majora is his feet and half way up to
his knees. While he is walking down the hall, Majora is
telling this story.

                       MAJORA
It was forged long ago, before the
world is as it now is. It held,
and still holds, power that can
devestate the very foundations of
the earth as you know it. It was
locked away, buried, in the ground
of a place where no one would ever
go, deep in the dirt of a small,
insignificant town. After
countless years of erosion,
building, and war, the ground
barrier that kept it away from
man, as well as mortal idiots from
it, wore away, and its underground
prison was unearthed.

His feet suddenly stop, and camera raises to show a sign on
a door in a different tongue. Majora opens the door. There
is a much younger, yet mature looking, man sitting at a desk
inside. This man is FRIDEN. The room is lit by candles and
torches. The man looks up when the door opens.

                       FRIDEN
Ma-Ma-Majora. What a, a surprise
to see uh, you at this, um, hour.

                       MAJORA
Where is it, Friden? You were
hired to protect it, and you make
more than most doing just that.
And you have failed me in this
simple task.

Friden's hand is down by his leg, with a short, pointed
dagger in his hand. The dagger glimmers in the light of the
torches and candles.

                       FRIDEN
There was noth-nothing that I
could do. it was just, well, it
was just taken.

2.

                       MAJORA
Just taken?! How can something
like this be just taken?

                       FRIDEN
I'm sorry. Please. I will find it.

                       MAJORA
I feel that you have done enough,
Friden.

                       FRIDEN
      (nervously)
I will pay the debt. How much,
please, how much?

                       MAJORA
Yes, Friden, you will pay the
debt, but not in gold.

Friden suddenly throws the dagger towards Majora, and it
pierces his neck. Majora simply smiles, removes the bloody
dagger, and throws the dagger on the floor.

                       FRIDEN
How, then?

                       MAJORA
Goodbye my good friend. Perhaps we
will meet again, perhaps we will.

Majora raises his right hand, palm facing out, towards
Friden. Friden falls to the floor, screaming. Majora begins
to clost his hand to a fist, and Friden rolls around,
screaming, and bleeding through both his nost and eyes.
Friden shakes, and the screaming stops, as he is dead.
Majora leaves the room, and leaves the body of Friden lying
on the cold, stone ground.

BLACKOUT

                       MAJORA
I am Majora, and I want my mask...

EXT. VILLAGE MARKET - DAY

A busy village market, where there are countless commoners
buying, selling, and stealing goods, weapons, and livestock.
KAMIN, male, age 13, is carrying a list and a large basket.

3.

His basket is filled with things like bread, fruits, and
other produce inside. He is shopping for his family. Kamin
stops at a stand selling all different kinds of vegetables.

                       KAMIN
How much for the potatoes, umm,
six of them?

                       SHOP KEPPER
I'll give them to you for three
gold pieces. How's that?

                       KAMIN
      (hesitantly)
I suppose that's fair enough.

Kamin reaches into a small, burlap sack and draws out three
gold coins and hands them to the shop keeper. He, in return,
gets six, medium-sized potatoes. He places the potatoes in
his basket and continues shopping for his family until his
basket slowly fills.

Suddenly, as if for no reason, people on the far side of the
market start to scream. Kamin turns to look, as does
everyone else. He can see that a large, fire-like monster,
called a BANDAAR, is approaching the village. Walking in
front of the Bandaar is a tall man in a long, black robe. It
is Majora. He has a desperate yet stern look on his face.

                       WOMAN 1
      (to her husband)
I thought a hero killed that man
long ago, for is that not Majora?

Another woman, WOMAN 2, overhears her, and screams.

                       WOMAN 2
It's Majora! He has returned!

This causes the crowd to run in the opposite direction, and
they are all scared and confused. Majora steps forward, and
the Bandaar steps back.

                       MAJORA
Stop! Do not fear me. I have not
come to hurt anyone, I have simply
lost something very dear to me. Do
any of you know where I might find
what I am looking for.

                       MAN 1
You were banished, mage. Leave
now, or a hero will come and kill
you.

4.

                       MAJORA
I see that you have once again
been lied to by your royal king.
But, like before, you are all
still mortals with simple minds. I
am still alive, I never died, you
were deceived!

                       MAN 2
You lie, wizard, you were killed!

                       MAJORA
If I were killed, why am I
standing here before you in the
flesh?

Majora smiles, and begins to walk forward, slowly.

                       MAJORA
If I were killed, why am I
standing here before you in the
flesh?

Majora smiles, and begins to walk forward, slowly.

Majora raises his hand, and waves for the Bandaar. The
colossal, fire engulfed monster steps forward, bellowing a
deafening cry. It leans back, then holds up its gigantic
arms, and throws huge balls of fire into the panicked crowd.

While screaming villagers burn in the streets, Majora smiles
and walks forward, stepping on the charred bodies of the
commoners.

Kamin turns to run, dropping his basket. Majora turns and
looks at Kamin, but allows him to run.

                       MAJORA
      (in his mind)
Let him run, I know he could not
have taken it. He is but a stupid
child.

                       MAJORA
Fine, you refuse to believe me.
Your mistake.

                       MAJORA
With destruction comes new life.

Majora claps his hands and the beast stops throwing fire
balls and stands at attention. Majora waves his hand and the
best disappears in the gust of wind that comes by. Majora
looks at the ground and says some strange words in an
unusual tongue, under his breath. A huge flower comes up
under Majora and the massive pedals wrap around his whole
body, encasing him in a reddish cell. The flower goes back
into the ground, Majora with it. All of the burnt ground
from the Bandaar begin to grow new grass and flowers.

EXT. OUTSIDE KAMIN'S HOUSE - DAY

Kamin runs down a long path to his small hut on the
outskirts of the village. He is yelling for his brother,
HEKMAE, as he is sprinting down the trail.

                       KAMIN
Hekmae! Hekmae, come out here!
Hurry!

6.

Hekmae, a tall, muscular, teenage boy, comes busting through
the hut's small door, still trying to buckle his belt.

                       HEKMAE
What? I was trying to get dressed.
I just woke. What's the problem?

Kamin suddenly stops right in front of Hekmae. Kamin is
breathing hard, and leans over forward, pointing toward the
market.

                       KAMIN
      (gasping for
       breath)
There was a man. He came with the
biggest Bandaar I have ever seen,
or heard of! He, he killed
villagers!

Kamin collapses to the ground from exhaustion.

                       HEKMAE
Father is in the fields. I'll go
get him. Maybe you should come,
too.

                       KAMIN
Fine.

FLASHBACK

Kamin is too young to remember, but Hekmae does. Hekmae and
GREVA are in the fields, digging plants and picking corn.
Suddenly they hear a scream, it is from Kamin's mother,
JADIA. They turn to look, and Greva turns to run towards the
house. He can see, over the trees, that there is a fire. He
runs as fast as he can, and Hekmae follows, crying, not
knowing what is happening. Then they finally make it to the
house, they see a giant Bandaar, exactly like the one Majora
just brought to the village. With the Bandaar is a tall man
in a black robe, with a strange mask on. It is Majora, and
he has on the mask. The house in on fire, and Jadia is on
her knees in front of Majora, begging. As Greva continues
running, he sees Majora has Kamin in his arms.

                       GREVA
Stop! Drop the boy, please. Take
me! Leave my wife and son along,
please!

                       JADIA
Stay back, Greva. Please.

7.

                       MAJORA
Yes Greva, stay back. You wouldn't
want something bad to happen.

                       JADIA
Please, take my life. Give my son
to my husband. Let him live, take
me, please, take me.

                       JADIA
Stay back, Greva. Please.

                       MAJORA
Dear Jadia. You are still naive,
my daughter.

Greva stops as his wife asked. He is confused. He wonders
who this man is.

                       JADIA
Stay back, Greva. Please.

                       MAJORA
Greva, thank you. Thank you for
taking care of my daughter for
this long. She has wronged me,
though. I hope you understand.

                       JADIA
Spare Kamin, please.

Greva realizes who the man is. It is Jadia's father, Majora,
whom she seldom spoke of.

                       MAJORA
As you wish.

                       MAJORA
Yes Greva, stay back. You wouldn't
want something bad to happen.

Majora, with Kamin in his hands, holds him up, and hurls the
baby body of Kamin through the air towards Greva who dives
to catch his fragile son. As he catches him, he looks up to
see Majora waving to the Bandaar. The beast picks up Jadia,
her flesh burning in its fiery grasp.

                       MAJORA
She is strong, Greva. She is
strong.

Jadia does not scream. She holds up her hands in prayer.

8.

                       GREVA
No! Stop!

But it is too late. The Bandaar disappears in the wind,
Jadia with it. Majora waves to Greva, and gives an evil
smile. He then picks up a glowing staff from the ground, and
slams it into the dirt. A cloud of smoke appears around him.
Once the smoke finally fades, Majora is gone.

Greva sobs as he holds both of his sons. Hekmae is bawling,
as is Kamin, although Kamin just is because he is a baby.

                       GREVA
Your time will come, Majora. You
will pay for the life of your
daughter.

FLASHBACK OVER

As Hekmae remembers this tragedy from his youth, a lone tear
comes from his eye, and he wipes it away.

                       HEKMAE
I need to be strong, for Kamin.

                       KAMIN
Huh?

                       HEKMAE
Nothing.

They continue to run through tall grass and tall stalks of
corn until the see the wooden cart half full of corn, still
in the shucks. A few feet away they spot Greva.

                       HEKMAE
Father! A Bandaar just attacked
the village. It killed many
people, and there was a man with
the beast, says Kamin, a man in
black robes!

Greva drops the corn he has in his arms and turns to see his
two sons standing together a few feet away. Kamin looks
stunned, yet Hekmae looks like he feels a deeper emotion
about this tragedy.

                       GREVA
      (to himself)
He remembers.

9.

                       KAMIN
A woman yelled that the man's name
was Majora.

                       GREVA
Stop. We will talk about this at
home. Whoever it was I am sure of
one thing; they have ears
everywhere. Kamin, go with Hekmae
to the house. I will wheel this
cart to the stock house.

Hekmae and Kamin do as they are told. Greva, trying to hide
his sorrow, picks up the corn and gently places it into the
cart. Although he has a rugged appearance from working long
and hard every day, he had a gentle and elegant look to him,
like he deserves so much more. He begins to wheel the cart
towards a small building next to their hut.

                       JADIA
Please, take my life. Give my son
to my husband. Let him live, take
me, please, take me.

                       MAJORA

INT. GREVA'S HOME - DAY

Kamin, Hekmae, and Greva are sitting around a small, crude,
wooden table in a tiny room that looks to be a kitchen. It
seems to merely have the necessities. The table is small and
square, with a small candle in the center that is burning.
But the majority of the light is coming from two small
windows on the far side of the room. The room is dimly lit,
even in the middle of the day.

                       GREVA
Tell me what happened, slowly.

                       KAMIN
Okay. I was at the marker, and I
had just gotten some potatoes.
Then I heard people screaming, and
just like everyone else, I turned
around to look at where the
screaming was coming from. I saw a
huge Bandaar, and a tall, old man
in black robes standing in front
of it. He said he lost something
very dear to him, and if anyone
knew where it was.

                       HEKMAE
Did he say what he lost?

12.

                       GREVA
Quite, Hekmae. Let him talk.

                       KAMIN
He never said. He just said he
lost something very dear to him.
Then people yelled at the man and
saying that he was killed by a
hero, and leave now. He said we
were lied to, and he never died. I
didn't hear all of it.

Kamin starts to softly cry, and Greva comforts him.

                       GREVA
It will be okay, Kamin. I promise.

Kamin looks up, with great regret in his eyes.

                       KAMIN
But I think I now what that man,
Majora, was looking for. A few
days ago I found something, in the
woods. It was something it seems
like I have seen before, but I
wasn't sure. I liked it though, so
I, well...

                       HEKMAE
Spit it out, Kamin, damn.

                       GREVA
Watch your mouth, Hekmae! He will
say when he is ready.

                       KAMIN
I took it! Okay! I took it, and I
have it here, in my room!

                       HEKMAE
What did you take?

                       KAMIN
It was, well it is, a mask.

Greva, who was partly frightened before, now looked at his
son, fear-stricken. You can tell what he is thinking.

                       GREVA
My Kamin, what have you done?

13.

Greva glances at his sobbing son, only to see a mirrored
reflection of Jadia, when she was taken by a fiery beast,
when she was taken by a Bandaar.

Kamin, Hekmae, and Greva are sitting around a small, crude,
wooden table in a tiny room that looks to be a kitchen. It
seems to merely have the necessities. The table is small and
square, with a small candle in the center that is burning.
But the majority of the light is coming from two small
windows on the far side of the room. The room is dimly lit,
even in the middle of the day.

                       GREVA
Tell me what happened, slowly.

                       KAMIN
Okay. I was at the marker, and I
had just gotten some potatoes.
Then I heard people screaming, and
just like everyone else, I turned
around to look at where the
screaming was coming from. I saw a
huge Bandaar, and a tall, old man
in black robes standing in front
of it. He said he lost something
very dear to him, and if anyone
knew where it was.

                       HEKMAE
Did he say what he lost?

                       GREVA
Quite, Hekmae. Let him talk.

                       KAMIN
He never said. He just said he
lost something very dear to him.
Then people yelled at the man and
saying that he was killed by a
hero, and leave now. He said we
were lied to, and he never died. I
didn't hear all of it.

Kamin starts to softly cry, and Greva comforts him.

                       GREVA
It will be okay, Kamin. I promise.

Kamin looks up, with great regret in his eyes.

                       KAMIN
But I think I now what that man,
Majora, was looking for. A few

days ago I found something, in the
woods. It was something it seems
like I have seen before, but I
wasn't sure. I liked it though, so
I, well...

                       HEKMAE
Spit it out, Kamin, damn.

                       GREVA
Watch your mouth, Hekmae! He will
say when he is ready.

                       KAMIN
I took it! Okay! I took it, and I
have it here, in my room!

                       HEKMAE
What did you take?

                       KAMIN
It was, well it is, a mask.

Greva, who was partly frightened before, now looked at his
son, fear-stricken. You can tell what he is thinking.

                       GREVA
My Kamin, what have you done?

Greva glances at his sobbing son, only to see a mirrored

when she was taken by a Bandaar.

INT. KAMIN'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

Kamin's bedroom is a small room, with a few shelves, a small
bed, and a chest. It is lit by candles. The moonlight is
coming in through a small window. Kamin is sitting on his
bed, silent. He finally gets up and goes over to the chest.
He pulls out a small, golden key with the letter 'J'
engraved on it. He unlocks the chest with the key and pulls
out the mask.

It is Majora's mask. This is the first time we get a good
look at it. It is oval shaped, with perfect circles for
eyes, outlined in gold. It has three spikes coming out of
each side of the mask. Kamin just takes the mask and looks
at it, staring, as if in a trance.

                       KAMIN
      (to the mask)
If I only wouldn't have found you.

                       KAMIN (cont'd)
All of those people wouldn't be
dead.

Greva comes through the room's small door, and looks at
Kamin, surprised to see the mask in his hands. Kamin looks
up and quickly hides the mask under the blanket. Greva
frowns.

                       GREVA
Bring it back out, Kamin. You need
not hide it from me.

Kamin hesitantly brings the mask out from under his blanket.
He lays it on the bed in front of him, and looks up at his
father, struck by guilt. Greva sits next to Kamin on the
bed, and pats his shoulder.

                       KAMIN
I didn't mean for all of this to
happen. I just found the mask and
liked it. That was all.

                       GREVA
You know I do not blame you,
Kamin. I love you more than you
will ever know. But someone who
knows about this mask needs to be
told. We cannot keep secrets any
longer.

                       KAMIN
Then neither can you.

                       GREVA
What?

                       KAMIN
You can't keep mother a secret
anymore. I want to know what
really happened to her.

                       GREVA
Kamin, my Kamin. I do not know if
I can bear to tell the story. I
will tell you this, though. She
was taken by a Bandaar when you
were but a baby. Also, the Bandaar
was being commanded by a man in
black robes, who wore a mask. The
mask he had on was the one in
front of us, and the man's name
was Majora.

16.

Kamin looks into his father's eyes, and Kamin understands.
Some pain really is unbearable.

EXT. VILLAGE STREETS - NIGHT

The village streets are quiet and empty, except for DARMAE
sitting on a bench. He is in his late forties, muscular, and
very wealthy. He looks depressed, and has a flashback.

FLASHBACK

INT. DARMAE'S HOME - NIGHT

We are in the entry hall to Darmae's huge home, which is
almost like a castle. There is a banister where people on
the second floor can look down to the first. There is also a
large, curved stairwell leading to the second floor. There
are two gigantic wooden doors on the opposite side of the
room. Suddenly a young man, DEDOCK, come busting through the
doors. He is Darmae's son, and looks very much like him.
Dedock is being chased. He turns around to see Majora.
Majora is holding a glowing staff. Majora looks angry, and
Dedock looks afraid.

                       DEDOCK
What do you want? Leave me,
please.

                       MAJORA
Where is he? Where is your father,
boy?

                       DEDOCK
I, I don't know. He left many days
ago.

                       MAJORA
Lies will get you killed, mortal.

                       DEDOCK
Please, just leave. I don't know
where my father is.

                       MAJORA
This is your final chance. Where
is he?

                       DEDOCK
I do not know!

17.

                       MAJORA
You are foolish, young one. You
have sealed your fate.

Dedock turns to run, but he finds he has been cornered in
the huge room.

                       MAJORA
You, child, are cursed, as is the
ground you walk on.

Majora throws some sort of dust on the ground right on
Dedock's feet. The ground below him opens up, and Dedock
falls through, but it shuts right above his waist. There is
still enough room for him to be alive and breathing. Dedock
squirms trying to get loose, but cannot. Majora turns to
leave, and begins walking to the front door.

                       DEDOCK
Stop! Please, do not leave me like
this.

Majora stops and turns to face Dedock. Majora smiles.

                       MAJORA
Oh, a last request? As you wish.

Majora raises his hands about chest high and about a foot
apart. He closes them together, like he is clapping. As he
does this, the ground below Dedock closes, crushing him
where it was holding him up before. Majora turns, and leaves
through the door.

Darmae comes to the banister, and sees the body of his dead
son. Tears pour from his eyes as he races down the stairs.

                       DARMAE
Dedock! Speak to me!

Darmae goes over to Dedock's body and kneels down, sobbing
uncontrolladbly. Darmae, a wizard himself, looks into
Dedock's eyes, seeing his past.

                       DARMAE
Show me what happened. Show me who
did this to you.

Darmae sees the vision of who killed his son.

Darmae gives his son one final kiss on his forehead, then
turns to walk up the stairs, calling for his wife, KADEK.
Kadek is a beautiful blonde, tall, and thin. As she comes

rushing down the stairs, she abruptly stops, spotting the
dead body of her son. She cries, and runs to the loving
comfort of her husband, Darmae.

FLASHBACK OVER

EXT. VILLAGE STREETS - NIGHT

Darmae looks up at the full moon, still guilty at not
knowing is son was being murdered, and didn't even stop it
from happening.

We can hear a faint murmuring from inside the building
Darmae is sitting near. He strains to listen when the door
suddenly opens. A short, elderly man who looks quite angry
comes through the door, followed by a much taller, must
younger man, in full armor. The old man is GABIV, and the
younger man is WESTER.

We are ready for you now.

                       DARMAE
Very well.

Gabiv and Wester turn to walk back into the building. Darmae
follows, looking a little bit worried.

INT. COUNCIL HOUSE - NIGHT

There is a long, wooden table with many people sitting at
it, the majority of them elderly. There is another man
standing on the far side of the room who looks much like
Wester, and is dressed the same. He looks rather stern.

                       GABIV
Have a seat, Darmae.

Gabiv ushers to an empty chair at one end of the table.
Darmae reluctantly sits. Gabiv takes his seat at the head of
the table, facing Darmae.

19.

                       GABIV
You do understand why we summoned
you here tonight, Darmae. Am I
correct?

                       DARMAE
Yes, I understand.

                       GABIV
Well, let us begin.

A tall, yet elderly, man near the center of one of the sides
of the table stands, and looks at Darmae. The man's name is
HESIC.

                       HESIC
Darmae, you, unfortunately, will
be held responsible for the murder
of over sixty villagers. We do
apologize, but you have deceived
us. You have lied, Darmae. And you
lie lead to Majora's return here
and the murder of our people. You
do understand, don't you?

Darmae nods, and continues to listen.

                       HESIC
The main reason we summoned you to
the council is to question you. I
suppose the main question would be
why you would like about the
killing of the mage Majora. Hmmm?
Why did you lie to us, the
council, directly, Darmae?

                       DARMAE
I made a promise to my wife, and
my deceased son, who, was indeed,
murdered by Majora. A promise that
I unfortunatley could not keep. I
could not allow myself to let my
wife down, so I lied to her. I
told her that I killed the man who
murdered our son. That lie grew,
and the entire kingdom began to
beleive it. Hell, I even started
beleving it. It wasn't until today
that I, and the rest of the
people, actually realized that
Majora is very much alive. He
thrives, and is more powerful now
than ever it would seem. I am,

though, incredibly sorry for the
deaths of the villagers, and I
will accept any punishment you
choose to give me openly, for I do
realize my enormous mistake, and
will take full responsibility for
it.

                       DARMAE
Still, though, this wizard Majora
must be stopped.

                       GABIV
We do realize that, Darmae, yet we
do not have the power, or numbers
to do that. He has an entire army
of creatures, spirits, even gods
at his disposal. He alone is more
powerful than our strongest
armies. There is nothing we can do
at the present time, and we feel
ashamed of that. And, if we
oppose, if will cause more turmoil
and death, both things we would
strongly like to avoid.

                       DARMAE
That I understand. What I do not
understand is why Majora returned
so angry. He said he has lost
something very dear to him. What
could this be? Do you suppose this
is why he had returned?

                       GABIV
That I cannot answer. But we must
find out.

EXT. VILLAGE STREETS - NIGHT

Kamin is rushing down the street with Majora's mask wrapped
up in a rag. He is moving very fast.

                       KAMIN
I have to get to Sidrun's.

As Kamin continues to run, he rounds a corner and bumps into
Darmae. Kamin gasps, and grasps Majora's mask tighter.

                       DARMAE
Boy. What is that you have in your
hands?

21.

                       KAMIN
It's, uhh, it's potatoes.

                       DARMAE
Potatoes are not carried so
lightly. Show me.

                       KAMIN
No.

Darmae puts his hand on the handle of his long sword. Kamin
notices.

                       KAMIN
Fine.

He unwraps the mask and shows it to Darmae. Darmae looks
puzzled.

                       DARMAE
Why would you be so reluctant to
show me a mask?

                       KAMIN
Because this mask is different.
This mask is special.

                       DARMAE
Why?

                       KAMIN
Because this mask belongs to
Majora.

Darmae grabs the mask from Kamin and holds it up in the
moonlight. He grabs Kamin around the collar and drags Kamin
behind him down the empty street.

As Kamin continues to run, he rounds a corner and bumps into
Darmae. Kamin gasps, and grasps Majora's mask tighter.

It's, uhh, it's potatoes.

But my father doesn't even know I

Do you understand what you have

mask half of our village is dead!

                       KAMIN
No.

They continue to move down the street back to the office of
the council to see Gabiv. They arrive at the door, and
Darmae pounds on it.

Darmae puts his hand on the handle of his long sword. Kamin

Darmae? I am coming.

INT. COUNCIL HOUSE - NIGHT

We are back in the council house, and the everything is the
same, except the only member present is Gabiv. Darmae lets
go of Kamin and points to a chair. Kamin obeys and sits.
Gabiv takes his seat at the head of the table, and Darme
stands, but puts the mask down in front of Gabiv.

                       GABIV
What is this mask? I have no time
to play games, Darmae. Explain
yourself!

                       DARMAE
This is no game, Gabiv. This boy,
Kamin you say, stole this mask. It
is of great importance.

                       GABIV
How can a mask be of such utter
importance?

                       DARMAE
Because, Gabiv, this mask was
stolen from Majora!

Gabiv is stunned. He picks up the mask and eyes it down.

                       GABIV
Kamin, is this true?

25.

                       KAMIN
I didn't steal the mask. I found
it in the woods. It was half
buried beneath the earth. I picked
it up and liked the looks of it,
so I kept it. I had no idea it
belonged to Majora. I didn't even
know who Majora was until today.

                       GABIV
I see.

                       DARMAE
Still, this is what Majora is
looking for, I am sure. Why is it
so important I cannot say. But for
some reason Majora wants this
mask, and he will not stop until
it is back in his possession.

                       GABIV
But what does this mask do? We
shall take it to Sidrun. Maybe he
can shed some light on this.

                       KAMIN
That is where I was going so late
tonight; to show the mask to
Sidrun and see if he knows why
Majora wants it so much.

                       DARMAE
Well, let us give Sidrun a visit.

                       GABIV
How can a mask be of such utter
importance?

26.

                       DARMAE
Because, Gabiv, this mask was
stolen from Majora!

Gabiv is stunned. He picks up the mask and eyes it down.

                       GABIV
Kamin, is this true?

                       KAMIN
I didn't steal the mask. I found
it in the woods. It was half
buried beneath the earth. I picked
it up and liked the looks of it,
so I kept it. I had no idea it
belonged to Majora. I didn't even
know who Majora was until today.

                       GABIV
I see.

Well, let us give Sidrun a visit.

EXT. VILLAGE STREETS - NIGHT

Darmae, Kamin, and Gabiv are outside of SIDRUN's door. Gabiv
is holding the mask. Darmae knocks.

                       SIDRUN
Who is there?

27.

                       GABIV
Sidrun, it is Gabiv. Please allow
us to enter.

                       SIDRUN
Gabiv! You may proceed.

                       SIDRUN
Gabiv! You may proceed.

INT. SIDRUN'S HOME - NIGHT

Kamin, Darmae, Gabiv, and Sidrun are all gathered around a
small table. Gabiv puts the mask in front of Sidrun.

                       GABIV
Sidrun, can you tell us about this
mask. Kamin, here, found it in the
woods, and we have reason to
beleive that this is what Majora
was looking for when he came to
the village today. Do you know
anything about this mask?

Sidrun looks at the mask for quite a while. He finally
speaks.

Sidrun looks at the mask for quite a while. He finally
speaks.

28.

                       SIDRUN
This, my friends, to our greatest
unluckiness, is a mask that
belongs to Majora. It was made
many years ago, by Majora himself.
It holds more power than in
imaginable. The unfortunate thing
is, though, that only Majora and
those who have his blood can
unlock the power inside, and
Majora has no known family
anywhere. He seeks this mask with
great haste. Why I cannot tell
you. But I do know what he wills
top at nothing until it is
returned.

                       GABIV
That I was afraid of.

                       DARMAE
Can we destroy it?

                       SIDRUN
Probably not, but you can try.

Darmae picks up the mask and lays it on the floor. He draws
his sword from his belt, raises it above his head, and
forces the sword towards the mask with great speed. Once it
reaches the mask, the blade shatters, a flame engulfs the
mask, and Darmae is blasted backwards, being slammed into
the wall. The flame dies, and the mask once again shows
itself, prefectly unharmed.

                       GABIV
Oh my.

                       SIDRUN
Kamin, I hate to tell you this,
but listen well for this is what
you must do, for the fate of all
of us.

INT. KAMIN'S HOUSE - NIGHT

Kamin slowly opens the door to his house. He then creeps
down to his room where he gets a small bag and fills it with
food from the kitchen. As he is leaving, he turns the corner
to find Greva standing there.

                       KAMIN
Father.

29.

                       GREVA
Kamin, I understand what you must
do. You will be in my prayers.
Son, I love you more than you
could ever know. Take this. I have
had this for thirty years.

Greva hands Kamin a small, golden dagger. Kamin takes the
blade and conceals it in his bag. He looks up at Greva.

                       GREVA
I pray you will never have to use
it.

                       KAMIN
Father. I am sorry for letting you
down.

                       GREVA
Kamin, you have done nothing of
the such. If anything, I am more
proud of you than ever. You, my
son, are stronger than I could
ever hope to be.

                       KAMIN
I have to go. I do not want to
cause any more grief. Sidrun told
me to return the mask to Majora at
all costs.

                       GREVA
I know. I knew this would happen
from the moment I saw the mask in
your hands.

Kamin turns and walks toward the door. Greva follows.

                       KAMIN
Goodbye, father. I will miss you.

                       GREVA
As I will you. Goodbye Kamin, my
son.

Kamin leaves and walks towards the corn fields. Greva
watches with tears in his eyes.

30.

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT

Kamin is pitching a lean-to near a river in the forest. He
is working very slowly, quietly sobbing as he does. Once he
has pitched the shelter, he lies down under it.

                       KAMIN
I need to get some rest.

Kamin rolls over and tries to get comfortable. Once he
finally gets asleep, he has a dream.

DREAM

EXT. FIELD - DAY

Many villagers are locked in a cage. We finally see that
Greva, Hekmae, and Jadia are locked in this cage as well.
Majora is standing about ten feet away from the cage,
laughing. He says something under his breath and the cage
catches fire, all of the occupants burning.

DREAM OVER

EXT. FOREST - NIGHT

Kamin wakes up screaming.

                       KAMIN
Just a dream, just a bad dream.

EXT. FOREST - DAY

Kamin is feeding a small fire. Once it gets to be a good
size, he takes the dagger from hid bag.

                       KAMIN
Time to get something to eat.

Kamin goes deeper into the woods in search of food. He
finally comes across the deer. He stops, watching the deer.

                       KAMIN
      (very quietly)
Come here.

The deer raises its head, and freezes. Kamin throws the
dagger and it pierces the deer right in the heart. It falls
over, dead.

31.

Kamin takes the deer back to the fire, and begins to cook
it. He hears a noise and looks around. As he is looking, a
hand grabs his shoulder. He screams, but another hand covers
his mouth to shut him up. We soon learn that the hands
belong to Darmae.

                       DARMAE
Kamin, come with me.

                       KAMIN
Where?

                       DARMAE
Don't ask question. Just follow
me, and bring all of your things.

Kamin gathes up all of this things, leaves the deer and
fire, and follows Darmae like told.

Kamin gathes up all of this things, leaves the deer and
fire, and follows Darmae like told.

INT. DARMAE'S HOME - DAY

As Kamin walks up to this huge home, he is dumbfounded. It
is like he has never seen anything so amazing in his whole
life. Darmae's wife, Kadek, greets them as the door.

                       KADEK
You must be Kamin. Come in,
please.

Kamin continues to follow Darmae into his house, and then
through the two huge doors into a kitchen. Kadek offers him
a seat in front of a elegant breakfast. Kamin generously
accepts.

Kamin eats like he has never eaten before.

                       KADEK
      (quietly)
Darmae, the poor boys acts as if
he is being starved at home.

                       DARMAE
He isn't Kadek, I am sure. His
father is a very hard worker, and
a greatly respected man in the
village.

32.

                       KADEK
Darmae, you can't really expect
this little boy to do all that
Sidrun said, do you?

                       DARMAE
He is not just a little boy,
Kadek. He is determined, loyal,
and he understands it all. I say
he can do it, with the proper help
of course.

                       KADEK
Darmae, no. You can't leave me
now.

                       DARMAE
It won't be for long, I promise.

Kadek sighs.

                       DARMAE
What?

                       KADEK
Do you remember what happened the
last time you made me a promise?

                       DARMAE
Kadek!

                       KADEK
Well I can't help it. You lied
last time, Darmae. How do I know
you want do it again?

                       DARMAE
There's really no way I can prove
that I will not lie again. But I
can assure you. It's like this;
you're just going to have to trust
me. And I know I messed up, but I
am here now, ready to make up for
that by killing Majora like I
promised before.

Kamin finally finishes the breakfast, and leans back,
sighing.

33.

                       KAMIN
Thank you so much for the food,
Darmae, but why did you bring me
to your house. I have to return
the mask like Sidrun told me.

                       DARMAE
You are going to return this mask,
Kamin, but not alone. I am coming
with you, as well as an old
friend.

                       KADEK
You don't mean Evra, do you?

Darmae smiles, and nods.

                       KADEK
Oh, here we go again.

                       DARMAE
She can take us further than Kamin
and I can go alone.

                       KAMIN
Who is Evra?

                       KADEK
Oh you don't want to know.

                       DARMAE
Shut up, Kadek. Kamin, Evra is an
old friend of mine. She is an
elven sorceress, and someone whom
I trust very much. She will help
us in our task a tremendous
amount, that I am certain.

Kadek shakes her head, sighs, and exits the kitchen

                       DARMAE
Well, Kamin, we need to get going.
I will gather some supplies for
our journey. I there anything you
need?

                       KAMIN
No, Darmae, I am fine. Thank you,
though.

                       DARMAE
Very well.

34.

Darmae exits the kitchen. Kamin watches him leave, then
takes one final danish from the table.

EXT. OUTSIDE DARMAE'S HOME - DAY

Kamin is standing in the front yard, holding his bag. We can
see the handle of the golden dagger coming out of the bag.
Darmae exits the house, and turns to face Kadek, who is
standing on the large front deck.

                       DARMAE
Kadek...

                       KADEK
I'll be here, Darmae, quietly
waiting until once again my hero
comes riding home on his strong,
white horse.

                       DARMAE
I will miss you, my love.

                       KADEK
As will I. Now go, hurry, before
it is too late.

Darmae and Kadek share a long, romantic kiss. Kamin turns
around. Darmae leaves the porch, turns around.

                       KADEK
Go, Darmae, and don't look back.

Darmae and Kamin leave, and do not look back, as asked. Once
out of sight, Darmae turns to get a final glimpse of his
home.

                       KAMIN
Where to now, Darmae?

                       DARMAE
I don't know, but wherever it is,
hopefully we can get there, and
fast, too. It looks like it is
going to rain. Maybe we can find
an inn, and quick.

FADE OUT.

Erm...Majora's Mask is a game in the Zelda Series. I hope you know that, because you don't give Nintendo the credit for Majora.

From Emily Date 7/30/2006 ***1/2
I really enjoyed reading this. It seems like you put a lot of thought into it, but please make sure that it gets a little more as you say "action packed." Make it and exciting movie. I wish you the best of luck and good work!
