RUSH

EXT. ABANDONED MILITARY BASE - DAY

                                         SNAP TO:

"The Real Man" by The Seatbelts plays. DAVE, a male in his
early 20s, wearing athletic sweatpants and a white muscle
shirt picks the lock on a gate with a big "NO TRESPASSING"
sign. He swings the gate open and runs toward a large
building.

EXT. FIRE ESCAPE - DAY

Dave sprints, kicks off a dumpster, and catches a fire
escape ladder, climbs it, swings himself up onto the lowest
platform, and races up the stairs.

EXT. ABANDONED MILITARY BASE - DAY

"Security guards" point to a roof. They see...

                                         PAN OUT TO:

Dave emerges from a rooftop exit.

EXT. ROOF - DAY

Dave runs toward a gap between buildings, sailing over pipes
and grates with ease. He reaches the edge of the building at
full speed and jumps.

EXT. ALLEYWAY BETWEEN BUILDINGS - DAY

                                         ANT'S-EYE VIEW AS...

Dave's feet race through the air across the gap.

EXT. SECOND BUILDING ROOF - DAY

Dave rolls to maintain momentum and break his fall.

                                         OVER-THE-SHOULDER
SHOT, AS:

Dave looks up at a "security guard" rushing out of the
rooftop exit in front of him. Dave turns and runs O.S., past
the camera.

EXT. ALLEYWAY BETWEEN BUILDINGS - DAY

                                         OVERHEAD SHOT, AS:

Dave jumps down the alley, missing the landing on a fire
escape, but catching the railing.

2.

                                         3/4 SHOT FROM DAVE'S
RIGHT, AS...

Dave braces himself for a moment, then propels himself back
across the alley toward the second building.
He catches a windowsill, then drops to the ground, and...

                                         BIRD'S-EYE SHOT, AS:

Dave sprints across the expansive asphalt field toward
another, larger building.

EXT. SECOND BUILDING ROOF - DAY

A "security guard" speaks inaudibly into his walkie-talkie,
pointing at an ant-sized Dave sprinting toward the building
across the field.

EXT. BIG BUILDING ENTRANCE - DAY

Dave rushes into the shot toward a railing, jumps over it,
and sticks his feet out while still in the air, then pushes
himself forward faster by bracing off the railing with his
hands. The resulting force busts the double-doors in front
of him open.

INT. BIG BUILDING ENTRANCE - DAY

Dave lands on his back, quickly spins to get back up, then
resumes his sprint toward a staircase. He jumps, pulls
himself up by the railing, kicks off the edge of the stairs,
and grabs the floor of an overhang, hoisting himself up onto
it, then finally races up a metal staircase.

INT. BIG BUILDING BARE ROOM - DAY

Dave stops short when he finds the room completely barren.
Breathing heavily, he looks around the room.

                                         CAMERA PANS ON DAVE
FROM THE WAIST UP,
FOCUSING ON HIS FACE
LAST.

Dave shrugs, then sprints toward the right wall, slams his
hand on it, and runs up the wall, doing a cartwheel-esque
trick: a tic-tac. He runs to the opposite wall, going
straight up it into a back flip, then jumps toward and kicks
of the last remaining wall to get a burst of speed to race
out the door.

INT. BIG BUILDING ENTRANCE - DAY

"Security guards" rush in. Dave appears through the door to
the empty room and leaps off the overhang, langing on the
upper level. He rolls to maintain momentum, and dashes into
the adjacent room, "security guards" in tow.

3.

INT. BIG BUILDING HALLWAY - DAY

"Security guards" run into the hallway and stop abruptly, as
they see no sign of Dave. One of them motions the others on.

                                         PAN UP TO:

Dave holds himself up between the walls.

                                         CLOSE UP:

A big bead of sweat falls from Dave's face.

                                         CUT TO OVERHEAD
SHOT, PAST DAVE'S
SHOULDER, AS:

The bead of sweat hits the ground. Dave grabs onto a hanging
light fixture and swings down, rolling again, then runs in
the direction the "security guards" went.

INT. BIG BUILDING CONVEYOR BELT ROOM - DAY

Dave enters to find the "security guards" waiting for him.
He immediately dashes up the wall by kicking off alternate
sides, and barely manages to grab onto a catwalk. He looks
up to see more "security guards" waiting for him, so he
swings alongside the catwalk, using the handrail. He drops
onto a slightly slanted conveyor belt, which starts moving
under his weight. He dives into a small entrance to the
adjacent room, following the conveyor belt. A "security
guard" barely missing grabbing his ankle.

INT. BIG BUILDING CONVEYOR BELT BASEMENT - DAY

Dave rolls onto his back and blows on his forearms,
scratched and raw from the dive. He rolls backward to stand
up, then runs along the rows of conveyor belts, leaping from
one to another. He jumps and catches an overhanging pipe,
and hoists himself onto it. He stands with slight
difficulty, because of its narrowness. He starts hopping
along the pipes tentatively, until he comes face-to-face
with a very large spider web, in the center of which is a
very large spider.

EXT. BIG BUILDING ROOF - DAY

A scream is heard, and then a window shatters. Dave flies
out, having wrapped his muscle shirt around a pipe, and
holds onto either end to be able to hang out the window. He
braces himself on the side of the building, then lunges in
the opposite direction, and grabs onto a large fence a few
feet away.

EXT. FENCE - DAY

Looking from the opposite side of the fence at Dave, the
camera pans down quickly to keep up with him. A few feet
before the ground, the camera stops on a sign that reads
"DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE. DO NOT TOUCH."

4.

EXT. GROUND BETWEEN FENCE AND BIG BUILDING - DAY

Dave is on his back again, blowing on his hands and shaking
them off. After a moment, he looks over to see "security
guards" bustling out of a back door. Dave, too tired to
move, lies there and closes his eyes.

                       "SECURITY GUARD"
Finally. Okay, who's next?

Dave grins widely.

The "security guard" gives Dave a hand up and slaps him on
the back as they walk back to the entrance of the base.

FADE OUT.

Not even long enough to be a commercial, just wasn't into it. I couldn't get into the characters. Don't be discouraged, better luck next time.

From Sven Date 6/5/2008 1/2
The only good thing about this is that it is action-packed, but next time, add a story!

From Kris Shaft Date 8/8/2007 0 stars
Plot=nonexistent. Characters=same. Even the action isn't all that good. Write plot next time.
