                       ALEX
I hate this fucking class.

                       KENNY
Who doesn't.

Mr. Rink turns around facing the class.

                       MR. RINK
So who knows what caused the war
of eighteen twelve?

No one raises their hand.

                       MR. RINK
Okay...Mr. Peters do you know?

Alex turns towards Mr. Rink.

                       ALEX
Nope.

                       MR. RINK
Well, haven't you done your
homework?

Alex thinks for a second.

                       ALEX
No.

6.

                       MR. RINK
Well Mr. Peters I think that
deserves a detention.

                       ALEX
Whatever...look around no one did
the homework, they're barely
conscious.

The class laughs.

                       MR. RINK

days.

Alex turns to Kenny.

                       ALEX
      (whispering)
Of detention I won't be doing.

                       MR. RINK
Now I will tell you what caused
the war.

                       ALEX
Yeah because you were an
eyewitness, right?

                       MR. RINK
Mr. Peters!

The bell rings. The whole class shuffles out.

INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY

                       ALEX
What was he going to do? Hit me?

                       KENNY
Who knows?

                       ALEX
He'd probably break a hip in the
process.

7.

                       KENNY
He is pretty old.

                       ALEX
Like dirt.

They pass by Abby, Cara, and STACY. Abby and her friends
walk into a classroom.

INT. CLASSROOM - DAY

Abby, Cara, and Stacy sit down in the back of the classroom.

                       ABBY
One down, seven to go.

                       STACY
Six, lunch doesn't count.

                       ABBY
Don't correct me.

                       STACY
Sorry, Abby.

MRS. ROW walks into the classroom, pointing to the
blackboard. The black board says: E=MC2

                       MRS. ROW
Good morning class.

No response.

                       MRS. ROW
Okay... Does the formula on the
board look familiar?

A couple of students nod.

                       MRS. ROW
Well, E stands for energy, but
does anyone know what the M and
the C stand for?

No one raises their hand. Cara suddenly smiles. She raises
her hand confidently.

                       CARA
I know this, I actually know this
one.

Stacy shakes her head.

8.

                       STACY
No, Cara don't.

                       MRS. ROW
Ahh, Cara.

                       CARA
MC stands for Magna Carta.

Stacy covers her face in embarrassment. Cara smiles
confidently.

Abby turns to Cara.

                       ABBY
Are you fucking serious?

Cara's smile fades.

                       CARA
What?

                       ABBY
Magna Carta?

                       CARA
Yeah?

Mrs. Row chuckles.

                       MRS. ROW
No Cara, not quite.

                       ABBY
This is science, not history. Even
I know that.

                       CARA
What? At least I tried.

Abby puts her hands up.

                       ABBY
I'm done! Cara, I'm done.

She puts her hands down.

                       MRS. ROW
Well does any one else know?

No one attempts.

I like this so far. One thing I would say is be aware of the Freaky Friday/BIG ideas you have going on. It is def worth cont with, it has the potential for some very funny moments, a 2008 take on a classic if you will. If you haven't seen it, I would take a look at Freaky Friday, both the original and the remake.
