Our protagonist from the first story, Anthony, has finally found a balance between his parental life and personal life, thanks to his loving girlfriend, Alicia. His friends convince him to go on a road trip to Florida, even though he's run into his ex-girlfriend, Nikki, who plans on stealing their daughter away from him. Learning Curve 2 details the journey a young man must take to stay loyal to himself, his friends, and above all else, his family. Because the road can truly test one's limits.

We're looking at an establishing shot over an entire college
campus in the heart of Boston, PANNING AROUND school
buildings and the like, until we see a sign telling us where
we are: "EMERSON COLLEGE". |

INT. EMERSON COLLEGE, FILM CLASS - DAY |
|
|
It's the final day of class, and there are within fifteen
STUDENTS -- some bored, some attentive -- hearing PROFESSOR
SPALDING, mid-50s, giving a lecture that seems to be going
on forever. Among the bored students is ANTHONY RAMOS, 20,
who is anxiously waiting in his seat. His eyes are
constantly on the clock: |

Anthony has aged one year, but still looks the same as when
we last saw him. |

directing your first feature,
remember that it is also a team
effort, not just your own. Your
assignment for the summer is to
shoot and edit a home movie about
anything. It can be a music video,
as long as its tasteful, or simply
a documentary. I'm expecting the
work to be done, come this fall. |

He gets his bag then leaves. |

EXT. SUFFOLK UNIVERSITY - DAY |
|

The familiar TOYOTA COROLLA, that belongs to Anthony, pulls
up to the front of the campus. ANGLE ON ALICIA ROJAS, 19,
walking out with a few girlfriends. As she carries her
backpack, we can clearly see the ENGAGEMENT RING given to
her by Anthony, on her ring finger. She waves good bye to
her friends before walking to the Toyota. She gets in: |

Alicia gets in the passenger's seat, happy to see Anthony as
she tosses her bag in the back seat. |

(smiling)
Hey, Babe! |

They share a small kiss. |
|
|

ALICIA
(thinking aloud)
Finally, summer vacation!! |

question you guys, but knowing
him, I just need to know. |

We see the Ramos' home in the same Dorchester neighborhood
as before, as the Toyota pulls up to the curb. There are
many children playing outside, as Alicia & Anthony step out
of the car. |

|
|
Anthony & Alicia walk in through the front door. Upon
entering, JESSICA RAMOS, 6, runs up to them and greets them
both with a hug. |

ANTHONY/ALICIA
(smiling)
Hey, Sweetie. |

The trio walk into the living room, where ISABEL & PABLO,
now in their early forties, are sitting down and watching
TV. Isabel is holding DAVID ROJAS, Anthony & Alicia's
months-old baby. |

table, and takes a seat as they look through MENUS: |

Anthony has a STEAK DINNER. |

Okay. So, me and my two roommates
are in a hotel the first night
there. We're bored so we said

get to one, and we start knocking
back some shots. Then, these two
Canadian dudes come up to us, and
automatically figure that we're
American. They tell us about this
strip club, "The Foxhole" they
called it, and we all go. |

when I get out, I see that my

Anthony's Toyota is parked out front, and he's headed

There's a KNOCK (OS) at the door, as a pajama-clad Alicia is
sitting on her bed, gently rocking Baby David to sleep. Her
room still looks the same as before, even with the inclusion
of a CRIB for the baby. |

Anthony enters the room, closing the door behind: |

(softly)
Hey, Baby. |

He kisses her, then sits next to her on the bed. |

A used car dealership, somewhere in Boston. Tam-Tam walks
into the lot. WILLIE NEWTON, the salesman in his mid-40s,
greets Tam-Tam upon entering the lot. |

WILLIE
(smiling)
Hi, I'm Willie Newton. How can I
help you? |
|
|
|

TAM-TAM
Hey, I'm Martin Jones. We spoke on
the phone earlier. |
|
|
|
| |
WILLIE
(realizing)
Oh, yeah, Mr. Jones! What can I
help you with today? |
|
|
|

TAM-TAM
Well, I'm lookin' for a good car
that has a decent amount of
mileage on it. And at a convenient
price too. |

WILLIE
(smiling)
Well, you sure sound like you know
what you want, kid. |

TAM-TAM
Yeah, I'm going on a road trip
with some friends. |
|
|

WILLIE
Then, let's have a look around,

They walk around, checking out the various cars in the lot.
The first car they stop in front of is a 1995 NISSAN MAXIMA
GLE. |

conditioning, front-wheel drive --
a smooth ride overall. |

WILLIE

(noticing)

Willie turns as Tam-Tam quickly goes over to a classic
beauty, a 1967 CHEVY IMPALA. His expressions shows that this
is the car he wants. |

(excited)
Oh, man, you gotta tell me what
car this is! |
|
|

WILLIE
(smiling)
That, Mr. Jones, is a sixty-seven
Chevy Impala. |
|
|
|
Tam-Tam simply can't believe what he's seeing here, as he
can't contain himself. He gestures to get in: |

Tam-Tam gets in the driver's seat. He's loving it. |
|
|

WILLIE
This baby's been fully restored.
It's got great space for your
friends, when you go on that trip.
And great mileage too. How does it

This is one of the local malls in Dorchester. The parking
lot is full as we see many consumers all throughout. |

Anthony & Alicia, along with Jessica, enter the store. They
walk around, checking out the merchandise. The DVDs seem to
attract Anthony's attention as he heads over and checks them
out. |

JESSICA
Daddy, I'm gonna check out the
games. |
|

ANTHONY
Okay, sweetie, but stay close. |

Jessica ignores him as she quickly heads over to the games.

Alicia, holding a brand new IPOD BOX, accompanies Anthony by
the camera booth, as he's attended by a SALESCLERK. The
clerk is demonstrating various CAMCORDERS to help Anthony
make a decision. |

which is good for when you want
your home movies to have the
clearest image possible. |
|

ANTHONY
Yeah... that's cool, but I don't
really need high definition.
Besides, the price is a bit high
for me. |

traditional sense; it's not smoke-filled, with large rowdy
and burly men throughout. As said before, it is very quaint
and friendly. There are POOL TABLES, COUCHES, COFFEE TABLES,
FLAT SCREEN TVs everywhere, and of course, the bar itself,
with friendly bartenders to service you. The boys walk in,
looking around as everyone inside are doing their thing.
However, some can't help but turn and glance at the new

of people that are either drinking, smoking, or just
conversing. |

The house is packed when the boys enter. They look around
and through the sea of people dancing. Inside the house,
there's more people doing the same as outside except with
the ability sit down somewhere; this is the best-looking

Outside a beautiful one-family Floridian home, the Chevy
parks out across the street. Anthony gets out of the car
while the rest of the boys slowly wake up and get out.
Anthony walks up to the front door, and rings the DOORBELL.
Moments later, the door is answered by a woman wearing a
robe, and in her late-forties. This is NORMA GUTIERREZ,
Isabel's older sister and Anthony's aunt. |

bailiff hands some DOCUMENTS to Judge Harris, tells her the
case, then returns to his post. Judge Harris looks over the
