INT. LIVING ROOM - THOMPSON RESIDENCE - NIGHT |
Sitting on the couch is CHRIS THOMPSON, 15, good looking,
dirty blond, all American boy with a sweet face. Next to him
is JOEL PARKER, same age, a nice kid with dark hair and a
kind appeal. They watch a horror movie on TV. |
NICK CALLAGHAN, same age, enters from the kitchen with a
bowl of chips. He is tall, lean, pretty boy with dark hair
and a cute face. He lays the bowl on the table and sits down
on the other side of JOEL. The three start pigging out. |
JOEL
When do they kill the bitch in the
hot pants? |
CHRIS
After they kill the innocent one
that, for some reason, has nothing
to do the plot. |
NICK
When do we see her breasts? |
CHRIS
No, then her lover get stabbed or
maimed, or whatever. Then, she
gets killed. |
NICK
With my luck her nipples are gonna
be all messed up. |
JULIE LEONELLI, same age, enters. She is a pretty brunette.
A true girl-next-door beauty. She walks over to the trio and
steals a chip from their bowl. |
She pops the chip in her mouth. |
2.
JULIE sits down next to NICK and starts watching the movie
with them. |
JOEL
THE THING THAT WOULDN'T DIE. |
JOEL
Hey, Chris, you got any punch? |
CHRIS gets up and heads for the kitchen. |
JULIE gets up and follows CHRIS into the kitchen. |
JOEL shrugs. They continue to watch the movie. |
INT. KITCHEN |
CHRIS gets the punch out of the fridge. JULIE gets three
glasses out of the cabinet. CHRIS puts the punch on the
counter and starts pouring punch into the glasses. |
JULIE
No thanks, I'm not that thirsty. |
CHRIS finishes pouring the glasses. He picks up one and
takes a sip. |
CHRIS
Didn't you have a date tonight? |
3.
JULIE
Yeah, Mike and I were gonna have a
nighttime picnic in the park. But,
when I sat down, he said "Don't
touch anything, Kristin's coming." |
CHRIS
I knew he was a son of a bitch. |
JULIE
Can I stay with you tonight? Since
my parents aren't home. |
CHRIS
Sure, but Joel and Nick are gonna
be here until about ten. Is that
okay? |
JULIE
Yeah, I don't mind. |
CHRIS
Where are your parents? |
JULIE
They went to some festival in the
City. |
CHRIS
Oh yeah, my parents went there
too. |
CHRIS
Yep, but since they're gone, you
can sleep on their bed tonight. |
JULIE
I think the couch is just fine. |
CHRIS
No, it's okay, their bed is
sanitary. They haven't had sex in
three years. |
CHRIS picks up two glasses. JULIE picks up one. They both
head to the living room, but JULIE stops them half-way. |
4.
JULIE kisses CHRIS. When she pulls away, they stare at each
other awkwardly. |
JULIE
I'm tired. I'm goin' to bed. |
JULIE runs into the living room. CHRIS stands still in
shock. |

INT. LIVING ROOM - THOMPSON RESIDENCE - DAY |
CHRIS sits on the couch drinking coffee. As he lays the cup
down on the coffee table, KATE BEAUMONT, same age, enters.
She is pretty in a shy way. Down-to-earth charm and bright,
lively eyes. She walks over to CHRIS. |
KATE
Hey, Chris. How's summer treating
you? |
CHRIS
Something happened last night. |
CHRIS
Have you seen Julie today? |
KATE
No, I went by her place, but no
one was home. Why? |
CHRIS
She stayed here last night. |
5.
CHRIS
In my parents' room, and I slept
in my own room. |
CHRIS
But, when she showed up, she
kissed me. |
KATE sits next to CHRIS. |
CHRIS
What, are you deaf? I said, she
kissed me. |
KATE
But, how? What happened? |
KATE
She just kissed you? No talking,
noting leading up to it, just a
kiss? |
CHRIS
Yes. See, now you get it. |
KATE
Great, now that I know, I won't be
able to keep it a secret from
Hannah, and when I do blab, she'll
post it on Facebook and then
everyone will know. |
CHRIS
She wouldn't do that. |
6.
CHRIS
Because she'll be too busy trying
to get my hands off her neck if
she even thinks about posting that
on Facebook. |
KATE
It's noon! When did she go to bed? |
KATE
I don't get it. It takes me two
hours to fall asleep, then I sleep
for twenty minutes and then I get
up to pee and the cycle starts all
over again. But, she goes to bed
and immediately is out like a
light then she sleeps for fifteen
hours and wakes up looking like a
queen. It's not healthy for my
self-esteem, or anybody's. |
CHRIS
Except hers. Look, I'm gonna go
upstairs and take a shower. |
CHRIS gets up and walks over to the stairs. |
KATE
Mind if I stay here and play
moocher? |
CHRIS
No. Just, don't do anything
illegal. |
KATE gets up and heads for the kitchen. |
KATE (cont'd)
I'm gonna go get a cup of coffee. |
7.
KATE goes into the kitchen. CHRIS heads up the stairs. |
INT. KITCHEN |
KATE pours herself a cup of coffee. HANNAH HOLLINGSWORTH,
same age, enters from the back door. She is a blonde, young
girl with a sweet face. She has too much make-up on for her
age and she has a bright, colorful sense of style. She walks
over to KATE. |
HANNAH
Hey, Kate. Where's Chris? |
KATE
In the shower. What are you doing
here? |
HANNAH
Nick said he was coming over here
today, so I thought I'd catch him
off-guard. |
KATE
Hannah for the last time, Nick is
not interested. |
HANNAH
Do you know where Julie is? I went
by her place to see if she made it
through the night and no one was
there. |
HANNAH smiles. |
KATE (cont'd)
Nothing happened. |
HANNAH
Figures, she never does anything. |
KATE
Oh, she does things. |
8.
KATE
Look, she kissed Chris, that's it.
You know I can't keep a secret so
shut the hell up. Now, I know well
enough to know that you're gonna
take out your phone and post this
on Facebook, and if you do, then
I'll rip your little bimbo heart
out. |
HANNAH
(interested)
They kissed? |
KATE
Yes. What are you deaf? |
HANNAH pulls her phone out of her pocket and starts clicking
around. |
HANNAH
(using phone)
I have to put this on Facebook. |
KATE
What did I just say? |
HANNAH puts her phone away in her pocket. |
9.
HANNAH
Oh, can I post it on twitter? |
KATE
Congratulations, you're officially
an idiot. |
HANNAH
Wait, does this mean they're
dating now? They do this to me,
Nick and I are already dating, if
they do this then you and Joel
will start dating and that's just
wrong. |
KATE
Not really... why can't Joel and I
date? |
HANNAH
Cause it's you and Joel. |
KATE
Anyway, it's just a kiss. It's
over and done. Any sexual tension
between them is gone. |
HANNAH
Well, you're never sure, they're
both fifteen. Hormones can play
cruel tricks on you. |
KATE takes a sip of coffee. |
KATE
Wait, since when are you and Nick
dating? |
INT. MASTER BEDROOM - THOMPSON RESIDENCE |
JULIE sleeps in the bed. The shower runs in the bathroom,
with CHRIS in the shower. JULIE sits up and looks around.
She seems like a zombie. She gets up, revealing that she is
10.
still fully dressed. She steps onto a rug on the floor,
which slips and sends her falling to the floor. |
She gets up and wonders over to the bathroom. She loses her
balance and falls into a chair in a corner. The water in the
shower stops and she gets up and goes into the bathroom. |
INT. BATHROOM |
JULIE enters the large bathroom on one side. Around the
corner, on the other side, CHRIS reaches out from the shower
and pulls in a towel. JULIE starts to undress. She takes off
her shirt and starts to undo her belt. She goes around the
corner. Just as she goes to open the shower curtain, CHRIS
opens the curtain while drying his hair with the towel.
JULIE looks up and SCREAMS and CHRIS YELLS. CHRIS shuts the
curtains and JULIE runs out of the room, still SCREAMING. |
INT. MASTER BEDROOM |
JULIE runs out of the bathroom. Her socks slip on the hard
wood floor. She falls on her butt and starts crawling
towards the bed. She stops half-way there, realizing that
she's shirtless. She stands up, turns around and grabs her
shirt out of the bathroom. She starts putting her shirt on
as she runs out of the bedroom, still SCREAMING. |
INT. LIVING ROOM |
KATE sits on the couch, drinking her coffee. HANNAH eats
some cookies while sitting next to KATE. They hear rumbling
and JULIE SCREMING from upstairs. |
HANNAH
What the hell was that? |
HANNAH
Do you think they're having sex? |
KATE
Julie would never do that. You'd
do that. |
11.
HANNAH
Yeah, and I'm the slut? |
JULIE runs into the room from the stairs full dressed. |
JULIE
Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! |
HANNAH
Nice to see you too. |
KATE
Julie, is something wrong? |
JULIE nods furiously. |
JULIE
I have to rip my eyes out. It's
burned into my retina's now. |
JULIE
I just walked in on Chris in the
shower. |
JULIE
What are you, deaf?! I saw him
naked! |
HANNAH
I'm psychic! Wait, did you two
have sex? |
JULIE
What the hell kinda question is
that?! |
12.

END OF ACT ONE |

FADE IN: |

INT. DINING ROOM - THOMPSON RESIDENCE - DAY |
HANNAH, JULIE, and KATE sit at the dining room table. KATE
drinks coffee, HANNAH eats cookies and JULIE bites her nails
and has a cup of coffee sitting in front of her. |
KATE
Let's go over this, you woke up in
his parents' bed after a fifteen
hour sleep, went into the
bathroom, opened the shower and
saw Chris naked. Then what? |
JULIE
Then, I screamed and ran out of
the room. |
HANNAH
What did he look like? |
JULIE
Like what? He looked like a naked
man in the shower. |
KATE
The important thing is to remain
calm. |
JULIE
How the hell can I relax? I just
saw my best friend naked! |
JULIE
What do you mean big? He's like
five-six, five-seven. |
KATE
Relax, Julie, ya' know this could
be worse. |
13.
JULIE
How could this be worse?! |
JOEL and NICK enter from the kitchen. |
JULIE lays her head down on the table. |
HANNAH
Go upstairs and talk to Chris,
you'll find out the whole ugly
story. |
HANNAH grins devilishly. JOEL and NICK go into the living
room. |
JULIE jerks her head up. |
JULIE
Are you guys really gonna do this
while I'm having a nervous
breakdown? |
INT. CHRIS' BEDROOM |
CHRIS wears jeans and searches for a shirt through the
drawers. He pulls one out and puts it on as JOEL and NICK
enter. |
14.
NICK
She's like freaking out
downstairs. What happened? |
CHRIS
I'm not telling you guys. |
CHRIS puts his shirt on. |
CHRIS
Look, it's a short, ugly little
story that I'm not telling you
guys because you'll just use it to
make Julie and I the butt of jokes
for years. |
JOEL
C'mon, Chris, tell us. |
NICK
We won't laugh, I swear. |
CHRIS
Okay, ya' know how Julie spent the
night? |
CHRIS
Well, this morning I was taking a
shower and I guess she didn't know
and... |
NICK
(laughing)
Oh my god. |
NICK and JOEL laugh hysterically. |
CHRIS
Yes. See, why I didn't want to
tell you guys, you'll never let me
forget this. |
15.
JOEL
(laughing)
C'mon, don't you think it's the
least bit funny? |
CHRIS
No. I've known her for like ten
years, now she's kissed me and
seen me naked in less than
twenty-four hours. |
NICK
Wait, you've known each other for
ten years and she's just now
seeing you naked? |
JOEL
So, you two never played doctor
when you were younger? |
CHRIS
Yeah, but I never got completely
naked. |
JOEL and NICK burst into another ring of laughter. |
JOEL
(calming down)
Was she naked too? |
NICK
So, you were the only one naked? |
CHRIS
I had a towel. On my head. |
JOEL and NICK start laughing, again. |
INT. DINING ROOM |
JULIE lies on the table with her head in her hands. HANNAH
texts on her phone. KATE sits at the head of the table,
drinking water. |
16.
JULIE
I know it. They're all laughing.
Poor Chris. |
KATE
You're the one who saw him naked. |
HANNAH
What's so bad about that? |
JULIE
Yeah, but he was naked...and I
feel so sorry for him. He must be
so humiliated. |
KATE
True. If one of my friends saw me
naked, I'd be so embarrassed. |
KATE
Everyone has seen you naked. |
JULIE
Yeah, but there's one thing you
guys are forgetting. |
JULIE
He's a dude. If he was a girl then
this wouldn't be that big of a
deal. It would be embarrassing,
but the fact that we're different
sexes makes it even weirder. |
HANNAH
Makes it even sexier. |
JULIE
Kate's right, you are a slut. |
INT. CHRIS' BEDROOM |
JOEL and NICK are still laughing. CHRIS combs his hair in a
mirror. JOEL and NICK start to clam down. |
17.
NICK
Do you guys do it, or do you move
to Japan? |
CHRIS
What do you think I should do? |
NICK
Well, you should get even. She saw
you naked, so now you have to see
her naked. |
JOEL
What the hell goes on in your
mind? |
CHRIS
A DEEP THROAT marathon. |
CHRIS puts his comb down on the table and turns to JOEL and
NICK. |
CHRIS (cont'd)
Now, if you excuse me, I know
exactly what to do. |
CHRIS exits the room. JOEL and NICK follow him. |
INT. DINING ROOM |
HANNAH, JULIE, and KATE are as we left them. |
HANNAH
Replay the moment over and over
and over again in your mind. |
KATE
Hannah, tell me, what sick twisted
thing made you into the bimbo you
are today. |
CHRIS, followed JOEL and NICK, enter. JULIE sits up and
looks at CHRIS in shock. |
CHRIS
Julie, we need to talk. |
18.
NICK
Hey, look, it's little Bo Peek who
loves to sneak. |
HANNAH
(adoringly)
Isn't he funny? |
KATE
God, you're all idiots. |
CHRIS
Julie, can we talk before someone
makes another stupid joke? |
JULIE gets off the table. HANNAH pulls out her phone and
aims it at CHRIS and JULIE. |
HANNAH
This is gonna go on Facebook. |
CHRIS
Let's get some privacy. |
The head into the kitchen. The others follow. |
HANNAH
Hey, wait, I'm recording. |
INT. KITCHEN |
CHRIS and JULIE runs through the kitchen and into the
basement. The others all follow, but CHRIS slams the door in
their faces before they can get a foot in. |
JOEL
Damn, now we have to wait. |
KATE
Get some glasses, we can press
them up against the door and hear
the whole thing. |
They all scramble through the cabinets, looking for glasses. |
INT. BASEMENT |
CHRIS and JULIE stand in the middle of the room. |
19.
JULIE
So, what do we say? |
CHRIS
I'll start. You saw me naked. |
JULIE
We both know that, tell me
something that gets us somewhere. |
CHRIS
Well, there's something going on
between us. |
CHRIS
Last night you kissed me and this
morning you saw me naked. Are you
sure there's nothing between us? |
CHRIS
Well, we have to talk this out and
make it less awkward. |
JULIE
All right, I'll go first. Last
night I was dumped, I was upset
and depressed and lonely. You were
kind to me and kept me company, so
I got caught up in the moment. |
CHRIS
What moment? We were watching a
former porn star get her guts
ripped out. |
JULIE
Well, you know what? |
JULIE kisses him passionately. When she pulls away, they
stare awkwardly at each other. |
20.
CHRIS
Really? I'm surprised. |
JULIE
I think we should see each other. |
JULIE
Yeah. You wanna try it? |
CHRIS
Wait, I don't know about this.
We've been friends for a years, I
don't think it's safe for our
friendship to just jump into
dating. What if we break-up? |
JULIE
That's true, but what about
twenty, thirty years from now,
when we look back at this and
think "What if"? I think we should
at least try. |
JULIE
You wanna give it a try? |
INT. KITCHEN |
HANNAH, JOEL, KATE and NICK stand at the door, listening
with their glasses. |
HANNAH
What are they saying? |
JOEL
Something about being late. |
NICK
Oh my god! She's pregnant?! |
KATE
Your mom drank while she was
pregnant with you, didn't she? |
HANNAH
Will you guys shut up, I can't
hear a damn thing! |
21.
INT. BASEMENT |
CHRIS and JULIE are as we left them. |
JULIE
So, what do you say? Our friends
are waiting at the door to hear
your answer. |
CHRIS
Well, I'm gonna say... I'm willing
to give it a try. |
JULIE
What makes you say that? |
CHRIS
Well, I... like you too. |
JULIE smiles. |
CHRIS
I liked you for a long time. |
JULIE
Well,... I knew that. |
CHRIS and JULIE kiss. Their kiss becomes making-out and they
embrace. |
INT. KITCHEN |
HANNAH, JOEL, KATE and NICK are as we left them. |
NICK
I don't hear anything. |
JOEL
What are they doing? |
HANNAH
Oh my god, they're getting freaky! |
KATE
I think we'd be hearing thumping
or some kind of moaning if that
was true. |
22.
HANNAH
It's possible. Nay, it takes
practice. |
CHRIS opens the door. HANNAH, JOEL, KATE and NICK hold their
glasses pretending to be drinking from them. CHRIS and JULIE
enter the kitchen. |
CHRIS
You guys should've filled the
glasses first. |
JULIE
You guys hear anything? |
HANNAH
Then, we know nothing. |
JULIE turns to CHRIS. |

I like it! Your characters seem really convincing to me. And I hilariously know a real life Hannah and Nick xD |

I really like this. This show would make great T.V. and it makes me think alot about being a teenager and how awkward moments can be. I really hope you write another episode so we can see how relationships evolve. Like earlier in the script when you worte that the girls were talking about Friends, it makes it seem like a new Friends show for teens. |
