WOLF CREEK PARK

FADE IN:

INT. SCENE 1 (MONTAGE) - DAY

(All Crediting will feature in this scene)

Characters getting ready to meet each other.

(All of them from the moment they wake up till they get to
the park bench)

First shot, Foster's Alarm clock going off by his bed, He'll
struggle to get it but the shot will switch to Clair's hand
hitting the alarm clock, in her own room.

She will get up and walk toward her closet exiting the shot.

Then Aaron will be entering the closet of his own room,
where he'll grab a shirt and throw it on about mid waist
where it will switch to Foster putting his shirt on starting
from mid waist.

Then Foster goes into kitchen and reaches for the mugs then
it switches to Clair reaching for a floral feminine mug and
bringing it down to the counter where she then grabs a box
of tea, and switches to Aaron opening a bag of coffee beans
and pouring the beans in to the espresso machine, then it
switches to Foster pouring coffee into a mug and placing the
pot into the machine.

The shot switches from Foster, to Clair and she is putting
the tea back into the cabinets. She then walks off out of
the shot, and then it switches to Aaron, walking out of the
door, without a care.

Then it shows Foster hoping on his bike, and then it
switches to Clair hoping on a bus, and then it switches to
Aaron, riding down the road on a long board.

Then It shows Clair getting off a bus and walking toward a
park bench, switches to Foster riding his bike toward a
park, and then over to the same park bench as Clair.

Then it shows Aaron riding toward the park bench and then
they all at the same time sit on the bench. Emotionless in
their faces, and haven't yet said a thing to each other.

Then they all look at each other, and start laughing. It
goes black.

INT. SCENE 2 (INSIDE FOSTER'S HOUSE) - DAY

(Clair is sitting on foster's couch, she's noticing all the
family pictures and strange red glass fixtures all over the
room. Foster enters the room)

FOSTER
(walks in and stops, turns to look
at mirror fixes his hair, and
walks toward her)

How ya doin' Clair?

CLAIR
(Startled)

Oh, I um-Fine, i'm doing fine.
You?

FOSTER
Great, ready to go?

CLAIR
(Stands up)

Yeah, lets head out.

Clair and Foster exit scene

INT. SCENE 3 (IN THE CAR) - DAY

(Clair and Foster are in his car, Foster is driving.)

(Long pause)

(Clair is resting her head on the window.)

-Clair starts thinking-

(flashes and blurs of the road are floating around her mind,
heart beat sounds, and past pace talking. Foster's voice
slowly comes in.)

FOSTER
What are you thinkin' about?

(Clair is startled.)

CLAIR
Ohhhh.....

(Doesn't finish)

FOSTER
That's pretty deep. (laughs)

CLAIR
Stop it! I'm just thinkin'. Can't
a man mind his own thoughts?

FOSTER
Well excuse me!

CLAIR
Your Excused.

(Clair turns back)

FOSTER
Oh, Come on! I'm just teasing
ya... No need to get prissy.

CLAIR
Foster!

FOSTER
Alright, alright... So have you
talked to Aaron?

CLAIR
No... he hasn't kept in touch.

FOSTER
Well, it'll be a reunion then. He
called and said he's gonna meet up
with us.

CLAIR
Really! Oh that's awesome!

FOSTER
Yeah... like old times.

(Foster pulls the car up to a parking lot, they both exit
the car and walk toward a river front.)

INT. SCENE 4 (RIVER FRONT) - DAY

(Clair and Foster are walking toward the water front, Aaron
is standing on top of a table)

(Aaron is taking deep breaths, enjoying the fresh air while
standing on a table.)

FOSTER
I guess it's been to long, your
much taller!

AARON
Brute! Tiny !

(Aaron jumps off table and runs toward Foster and Clair,
Overwhelmed with joy , he embraces them)

AARON
I'm so happy to see you guys!
(Squeezes them both) How are you?
What have you been up to?

CLAIR
Caveman, It's been too long!

FOSTER
Good-Great in fact! How about you?

AARON
Caveman, ha! I can't complain!
Haha... sit! What you've been up
to!

(Aaron runs over to the picnic table excited, Foster and
Clair slowly make their way down to the table. They all take
a seat.)

FOSTER
How long's it been, man? Two...
Three years?

CLAIR
I'd say three.

AARON
Feels like Five.

FOSTER
Heh, just about.

AARON
Well, they've let me on probation
if i keep this routine up. Bein'
clean, housed... Sober! Haha...

FOSTER
That's Great! I'm really proud of
you man, you've come far!

CLAIR
We've missed you, Aaron... I'm so
glad to see you get better.

AARON
Yeah.. yeah.. One day at a time i
guess, hehe... How about you two?

FOSTER
Oh! Well, i just had an interview
with Solar Productions, it seems
promising but.. eh who knows now a
days?

AARON
Dude, that's great! and you,
Clair?

CLAIR
Oh... just doing my thing... I've
been doing art lately.

AARON
What kind of art?

CLAIR
Art, mostly painting. You should
come over some times and see them!

AARON
I would love to!

(Foster looks at clair for an uncomfortable period of time)

FOSTER
Hey, are you hungry?

CLAIR
Yeah! Hey Aaron, would you like to
join us?

AARON
Sure! I mean-if it's all right
with...

FOSTER
Oh-No, i don't mind at all! Come
on, we'll go to my house!

AARON
Sweet! Mind if i catch a ride with
you guys?

CLAIR
Not at all-but where's your car?

AARON
Oh, I walked here....

FOSTER
From where?

AARON
The clinic...

CLAIR
That's at least 10 miles from
here!

AARON
Yeah... well... i wanted to see
you guys! I had no where else to
go so... it's no big deal.

FOSTER
Wow man...

(Foster, Clair, and Aaron all walk toward Fosters car and
get in.)

INT. SCENE 5 (FOSTERS HOUSE) - DAY

(Foster is preparing some fajitas for Aaron, Clair, and
himself.)

(Aaron is looking at his surroundings, family pictures, and
red glass)

AARON
It seems nothings changed...

FOSTER
Oh... i suppose not. Though i did
put one of Clair's pieces up in
the hallway.

CLAIR
Foster, what an inappropriate
place! It belongs more in the
garbage, away from the public's
eye...

(Aaron steers his direction to the hallway, pondering at
Clair's Painting.)

AARON
Your too hard on yourself, Clair.
This piece belong in a museum or
some millionaire bachelor's dining
hall!

FOSTER
Well i don't know about that...

(Clair hits Foster, Foster laughs a bit.)

CLAIR
Thank you, Aaron. That's very
sweet of you.

AARON
Well, you're incredibly talented,
Clair. Don't let a snob like
Foster pull you down.

FOSTER
Ha! Yeah, Clair. You should listen
to him.

(Sarcasm)

CLAIR
Your both fools...

(Foster plates food, and they all gather around the counter
and take a seat on the bar.)

FOSTER
So, Aaron. Where are you lodging?

AARON
Mom's house-well her new house.
She moved over to Portland around
last April.

CLAIR
Portland? What was so important to
her that Portland was the answer?

AARON
New boyfriend. Didn't hear his
name but apparently he's quite the
catch.

FOSTER
Sounds awful... (sarcasm)

AARON
Doesn't it?

CLAIR
Why Foster, don't you have a open
room for the man?

FOSTER
Yeah! Of course-Aaron you're
staying here. I won't here a word
against it.

AARON
Foster i really coul-

FOSTER
No! I insist! I'll find some fresh
linen for you..

(Foster excuses himself.)

(Aaron looks at Clair)

AARON
You're impossible... you know?

CLAIR
I pride myself on it sometimes.

AARON
Is this one of those times?

CLAIR
I would say so.

(Aaron laughs along with Clair.)

INT. SCENE 6 (NIGHT AT FOSTERS) - DAY

Like acoustic music.

(Aaron is laying in the spare room, the room is completely
empty, except for his bed.)

(Aaron is laying still, staring at the ceiling. He looks
sad, or distraught, he turns over to his side and falls
asleep. )

-AARONS DREAM-

(Aaron is in a room, smoking a cigarette. Foster opens the
door, and looks at him. Aaron starts to call for him but

foster with a look of disgust closes the door. You hear
Clair cooing Foster. Aaron becomes angry.)

AARON
Foster... Foster!

(Foster gives blank stare, through a door way.)

CLAIR
Foster, Come on.

(Foster continues to stare, Aaron is stumbling to get up.)

AARON
No! Foster come back for me!

(Foster starts to leave.)

CLAIR
Honey, let's go.

(Foster grabs door knob and slowly starts to shut it)

AARON
You can't do this! You can't leave
me here!

(Door slams)

AARON
You're all i've got!

(Aaron gets up, pounds on the door)

AARON
You're all i've got... you're all
i've....got....

-AARONS DREAM ENDS-

(Aaron jumps from his dream, sits up, panicking. He lays
back down, exhausted from his nightmare.)

AARON
GAH!-Pounds on the floor hard-

INT. SCENE 7 (FOSTER'S LIVING ROOM) - DAY

(Foster and Clair are sitting down stairs when they hear a
pound from upstairs)

CLAIR
What was that?

FOSTER
Aaron probably fell out of bed...
Don't worry about it.

CLAIR
Oh... haha, it's really good to
see Aaron, i'm glad he's well.

FOSTER
Yeah, he's a good kid...

CLAIR
Do you ever worry about him?

FOSTER
Aaron? No... he's getting better.
He just needs time to adjust to
things.

CLAIR
What does go on in your head now a
days?

FOSTER
uh..... oh a lot of things....

CLAIR
Your specific.... -sarcasm-

FOSTER
Well just things... you know?
uhm... work.. bills... oh...
you...

CLAIR
Hold on there! What exactly are
you thinking about me??

FOSTER
Haha! Not like that... Oh, Clair.

CLAIR
No, really tho... what about me
are you thinking about?

FOSTER
Well i'm thinking about.... your
new hair... your smile... your
smart ass attitude...

CLAIR
Haha! Sounds about right.

(Clair pushes Foster)

FOSTER
... your laugh... your spunk...
lots of things, Clair.

(Clair adjusts herself, smiling, and admiring herself)

FOSTER
I think about you alot...

(There's a small silence between the two. Clair understands
that there is more than friendship that Foster thinks about.
She gets a bit uncomfortable.)

CLAIR
Well, its getting late, i should
head out...

(Clair jumps up, and Foster walks behind her to the door.)

FOSTER
I'll walk you to the door...

CLAIR
Goodnight, Foster.

FOSTER
Goodnight, Clair.

INT. SCENE 8 (BREAKFAST WITH AARON) - DAY

(Foster is down stairs in kitchen, frying up some bacon.
Aaron comes down stairs)

FOSTER
Morning sunshine!

AARON
Gah... how can you be so cheery
this early?

FOSTER
I'm a morning person, as soon as i
get my coffee.

AARON
Is that so? Then obviously we have
our differences.

FOSTER
I'd say... so what are your plans
today?

AARON
Oh probably nothing, i have no
job, no girlfriend, i may as
serenade the dog if she doesn't
mind. What are your plans?

FOSTER
Oh, going to the store, picking
somethings up for Clair, then
going out to lunch with Clair and
then Clair and i were planning on
coming here for a movie.

AARON
Are you two together alot?

FOSTER
Well... Not alot... just often.

AARON
Ahh... i see... Someone's on a
tight leash.

FOSTER
I'm not whipped!

AARON
-Aaron make whip sound-

FOSTER
We aren't even dating!

AARON
Doesn't mean a thing! She's got
you wrapped around her finger!

FOSTER
She does not, we are friends who
like to do things for each other.

AARON
What has Clair ever done for you,
huh?

FOSTER
Well...She's there for me.

AARON
and you for her?

FOSTER
It doesn't matter! We're friends,
and friend's don't keep score.

AARON
It doesn't appear so does it?

(Foster gets uncomfortable)

FOSTER
I have to go.

(Foster grabs his coat and keys and walks off.

AARON
huh.

(Grabs a piece of bacon)

INT. SCENE 9 (A WALK IN THE PARK) - DAY

(Foster is walking on a side walk and turns into a
neighborhood park.)

(His face is full of frustration and walks toward a bench.)

(Foster is just so frustrated he starts to pick up rocks and
throw them into the woods.)

LEON
If you hunt with rocks, you'll
starve.

Foster turns around startled, Leon is sitting on the bench.)

FOSTER
Oh, i uh.. wasn't... those weren't
my intentions.

LEON
I'd say. Rocks haven't been used
since the cave man times... i
think they figured it out a long
time ago.

FOSTER
I wasn't hunting.

LEON
Obviously, or else you would've
killed something-or someone by
now.

FOSTER
Why would i hunt in a public
park?!

LEON
Why would you throw rocks at the
woods?

FOSTER
...point made. Now if you'll
excuse me...

(Foster starts to walk off.)

(Foster stops, and turns around.)

FOSTER
Why are people so arrogant? Why
must a man always think they are
right?

LEON
Aren't men always right? haha!

FOSTER
No! I'm serious. Why must men
always assume that they know
everything, or what's going on?
It's not Totally accurate.

LEON
Because crazy fools talk to
strange men they meet at the park?

FOSTER
You know what every one's problem
is?

LEON
If i knew that i wouldn't be here.

FOSTER
Where would you be?

LEON
I'd rule the world, with all that
knowledge. What power someone has
when they know everyone's secrets.
Instead i'm stuck here, resident
of Wolf Creek Park.

FOSTER
You live here?

LEON
You could say that. I never leave,
i'm here from dawn til dusk and i
have no current home so... yeah
one would say i reside here.

FOSTER
Are you married?

LEON
Man, you are just full of
questions.

(Foster sits down on the bench)

FOSTER
One would say.

LEON
Ha, well at one point i was. The
wacko wife life was too much for
me, I'm a drifter, i don't handle
commitment well.

FOSTER
That's a shame.

LEON
Nah, i'm with the one person who
can never let me down and whom i
love the most in this world. Me!

FOSTER
At least your content with being
alone.

LEON
You aren't?

FOSTER
I'm not alone! I just don't have a
girlfriend.

LEON
Well excuse me.

FOSTER
You ought to be. My friend Clair
is always here for me and i for
her. She frustrates the heck out
of me but, what can i do.

LEON
Why would you want to attach
yourself to someone who causes you
pain?

FOSTER
It's not like that, She means the
world to me. I'd say she's more to
me than just a friend.

LEON
So you two are together?

FOSTER
No... No, we're not. It's a pity
cause i'd give her the world if i
were. I'm not entirely sure if she
wants to be with me in that way.

LEON
Dame's are tricky that way. It
took forever for me to figure them
out.

FOSTER
I didn't even know you figure them
out!

LEON
Oh yeah, definitely. You need to
find out what they want to hear
and what they don't want to hear.

FOSTER
You mean like, tell them they're
pretty or look nice, compliments
and such?

LEON
No! Just the opposite!

FOSTER
That doesn't make sense, Why would
a girl want to be told their ugly?

LEON
Girls are insecure and feel the
need to fix things or run things
in a relationship.

FOSTER
Uh-huh.. and they want to fix
themselves?

LEON
Exactly! Girls want to fix
themselves because it's easier
than fixing us.

FOSTER
That's a bit hard to understand...

LEON
Think of it this way, Does a girl
remember when you tell them their
dress make them look skinny or it
makes them look fat?

FOSTER
Well... Fat?

LEON
Exactly! They'll never be caught
with that dress again, and they'll
stick to you like glue knowing
that you'll be the one to tell
them what's wrong with them.

FOSTER
But Clair is neither of those
things. She incredibly beautiful!
and she knows it!

LEON
Because you tell her that?

FOSTER
All the time.

LEON
and how's that working out for
you?

FOSTER
Well, clair's my friend?

LEON
Ohhh... so your in the friend zone
now? That's tough to get out.

FOSTER
I will not make a fool of Clair,
even if that means she won't see
me the way i see her.

LEON
Suit you self.

FOSTER
If You will excuse me..

(Foster stomps off)

INT. SCENE 10 (GOING TO THE CAR.) - DAY

(Foster is walking out of the park and onto his street. He
looks at his house and then hops into the car. He drives
off)

INT. SCENE 11(LUNCH WITH CLAIR) - DAY

(Clair is sitting at a table when Foster walks up and plops
down.)

CLAIR
Took you long enough.

FOSTER
Sorry... i was on a walk this
morning.

CLAIR
Well then, Nature boy, i'm hungry.
I'm thinking about getting the BLT
with pickles.

FOSTER
Great...

(Sarcasm)

CLAIR
What's wrong with that?

(Foster looks at Clair and thinks)

FOSTER
Do you REALLY think you should be
eating all of that? It's a lot of
food.

(Clair confused)

CLAIR
But i always get the BLT...

FOSTER
Right, i know. Do you think now
you should be eating more salads?

CLAIR
Oh.. well I'll decide what i eat,
thank you very much.

FOSTER
Suit yourself, if you're really
sure...

(Waiter comes up to table, ready to take orders)

FOSTER
I'll have the BLT, with out mayo,
and Clair you'll have...?

CLAIR
uh....

(Looks at menu)

CLAIR
The Salad, i guess.

(Water takes away menus and leaves)

FOSTER
There we go...

(Foster smiles)

INT. SCENE 12 (FOSTER GETS HOME) - DAY

(Foster walks into his house, throws his keys on the
counter. Aaron is sitting at the bar, on his laptop.)

AARON
Your home earlier than expected.

FOSTER
Yeah, i guess.

(Aaron looks up at foster from the computer)

AARON
Are you mad at me?

FOSTER
No... No... just uh... taking in
what you said.

AARON
Look, Foster. Your making this
bigger than it is. You and Clair
are great friends, i see that. It
(MORE)

AARON (cont'd)
doesn't matter how much time you
spend together.

FOSTER
No, it does, Aaron. I just needed
to realize it.

AARON
Foster, don't keep doing thi-

FOSTER
You know what? I need to be left
alone sometimes. I don't care if
you live here, but you don't need
to be involved in this.

(Small Pause)

AARON
Alright.

(Foster goes up stairs)

(Aaron texts Clair and tells her to come over.)

INT. SCENE 13 (AARON AND CLAIR TALK) - DAY

(Clair and Aaron are sitting out side on the back porch in
chairs.

CLAIR
...he really said that?

AARON
Yeah. I don't know what it is but
he seemed more distant.

CLAIR
I don't understand, You and Foster
were best friends.

AARON
Maybe he wants space, that's all.
Friends butt heads all the time.
I'm sure he'll open up to me soon.

CLAIR
If you think so... is it weird
being in the same house?

AARON
Nah, it's fine. We just stay out
of each others way.

CLAIR
Do you even acknowledge each
other?

AARON
He's not a ghost, Clair. I can't
just ignore him and hope he'll go
away.

CLAIR
I know that, it's just... the
tension. I'm surprised he's
letting you stay still.

AARON
Yeah... but i'm glad he does.

CLAIR
He's been more blunt with me
lately.

AARON
Blunt?

CLAIR
Mhm.. like more vocal about the
things i do. I didn't notice all
the things I've been doing wrong
that I've been ignoring or didn't
even think about.

AARON
Like?

CLAIR
I've been a pig! It's like a pit
of nonstop food in there.

AARON
You are not a pig, did he actually
say that to you?

CLAIR
Not really, more of just
commenting about what i ate. But
it's fine, he's right. I should
care more about what i put in my
mouth.

AARON
Clair, you're beautiful. Don't let
this bio polar kid tell you
otherwise.

CLAIR
That's what everyone says, but i
know Foster, and he's telling me
the blunt truth. Don't worry about
it.

AARON
There's no talking sense into you.
Never could.

CLAIR
and never will.

(Foster opens screen door)

FOSTER
Oh, Clair! Didn't know you stopped
by.

CLAIR
Yeah i was just having a chat with
Aaron. What are you doing?

FOSTER
I see, well i'm about to go
running. You wanna join?

CLAIR
No, that's okay. I think this is a
lazy day for me.

FOSTER
Don't you think you've had enough
of those?

CLAIR
One day isn't going to matter.

FOSTER
are you sure? Running could help
you.

CLAIR
with what?

FOSTER
Oh, emotionally, physically...
losing weight.. being healthier..

CLAIR
Oh.. well..

AARON
Clair you don't have to if you
don't want to.

CLAIR
No, no. Foster, would you mind
stopping by my house so i can put
some sweats on.

FOSTER
Sure. Come on.

CLAIR
Thank you so much, Aaron. For the
talk.

AARON
Yeah, thanks for listening to me.

(Clair and Aaron stand up and give a goodbye hug. Clair
exits.)

(Aaron continues to sit on chair, and just looks around.)

INT. SCENE 14 (CLAIR GOES HOME) - DAY

(Clair is jogging with Foster, Clair says good bye and jogs
up to her house. Foster jogs onward and comes across the
same park where he met Leon. He goes into the park.)

INT. SCENE 15 (A MEETING WITH LEON) - DAY

(Leon is sitting on the bench resting, Foster jogs up to
him)

FOSTER
Hey!

LEON
Howdy, what you doin' back here?

FOSTER
I was on a jog, with Clair.

LEON
Oh her again? HA! Still chasing
wild game, eh?

FOSTER
Well, things are changing.. I
think it's turning around.

LEON
Why's that?

FOSTER
She's listening to me! What you
told me to do the other day is
working, and she's leaning on
every word i say.

LEON
Ha! Sounds like it does. Works
with every one of 'em. They're
dying to know what their doing
wrong.

FOSTER
I'd say i owe you a thank you.

LEON
Nah... better to teach a kid when
he's down then to see him turn
into a fool

FOSTER
I oughta go... Till later?

LEON
I'll be here.

(Foster jogs off)

INT. SCENE 16 (INTERVENTION) - DAY

(Foster opens the door and puts the keys on the stand. He
walks into the kitchen to see Aaron in the living room.)

AARON
Hi

FOSTER
'ey...

AARON
You've been gone for a while. Long
jog?

FOSTER
Yeah... Clair needed an extra
push.

AARON
I think Clair is perfectly fine.

FOSTER
Oh, no.. she is. Just getting her
in shape.

AARON
She's Fine.

FOSTER
I don't think so.

AARON
Well why does it matter to you?

FOSTER
It doesn't! I'm just.. Looking
after her. That's all.

AARON
I'd find that as a bit of an
understatement.

FOSTER
Well who are you?! Her mother?

AARON
No, i'm her friend! and i think
she's doing perfectly fine with
out your criticism and bullying.

FOSTER
I've known Clair longer than you
have, and have been twice if not
three times more involved than
you.

AARON
Does that make you right?

FOSTER
No, it means i know her more than
you and we were doing fine with
out you!

AARON
You're not being there for her!
Your tearing her down and trying
to mold her into a person that
(MORE)

AARON (cont'd)
she's not!

FOSTER
How do you know who she is?!

AARON
Because she talks to me! Lets me
know what's on her mind. She's a
beautiful person, Foster. Really
she is. Inside and Out and now
your destroying that wonderful
confidence inside herself that
makes her shine. And for what?

FOSTER
To help her!

AARON
To help her, or to help you!?

FOSTER
Cla-....

(Pause)

AARON
What is it, Foster? Is she not
good enough for you?

FOSTER
No, that's not it!

AARON
Well... Instead of changing Clair,
you should take a look at
yourself.

(Aaron walks off)

(Foster stands frustrated in the kitchen)

INT. SCENE 17 (CLAIR AND AARON HAVE A TALK.) - DAY

(Clair and Aaron are sitting on a swing set and talking.)

(Clair is swinging)

AARON
Clair, don't you get tired?

CLAIR
No, not really. It's more of an ab
workout swinging so high.

AARON
What does make you tired?

CLAIR
Oh.. Lots of things. Dancing,
work, jogging- i've been doing
alot of that with Foster lately.

AARON
Yeah, i herd about that.

CLAIR
Are you two still bickering?

AARON
Heh... yeah.

CLAIR
Well know that your welcome to
stay with me as long as you like.
No rush at all.

AARON
Thanks Clair.

CLAIR
You never did tell me why he
kicked you out in the first place.

AARON
He didn't kick me out, i left.

CLAIR
But why?

AARON
We had disagreements.

CLAIR
About what?

AARON
... about you, Clair.

CLAIR
Are you being serious?

AARON
Is it hard to believe?

28.

CLAIR
well, yeah. I mean... what were
you fight about, about me?

AARON
He's not treating you right,
clair. And you don't realize it.

CLAIR
I'm not blind! Foster is being
nothing but blunt.

AARON
He's not being blunt! He's
degrading you and who you are!

CLAIR
You don't get it, Foster! He's the
only person really telling me what
i'm doing wrong, when everyone's
too nice to say it to my face.

AARON
He's not being nice, or helping

(Pause)

AARON
He loves you, Clair.

CLAIR

AARON

CLAIR
He doesn't-

AARON
yeah, he does.

AARON
And you?

(Pause)

CLAIR
What?

AARON
Love, Foster?

CLAIR
As a friend.

AARON
As a Friend. Nothing else?

CLAIR
Nothing else.

AARON
But don't you see know? He taking
your weaknesses for his advantage.

CLAIR
... I've got to leave now, Aaron.

AARON
Alright.

CLAIR
The door key is under the mat when
your ready.

AARON
Thank you, Clair.

INT. SCENE 18 (CLAIR IGNORES FOSTER) - DAY

(Clair is getting ready, and her phone vibrates. She looks
and sees it's Foster. She dismisses the call and looks
troubled or disturbed.)

INT. SCENE 19 (LUNCH WITH AARON) - DAY

(Clair and Aaron are having lunch, they are laughing and
talking. Clair gets a text from Foster.)

FOSTER
(Text)
Where have you been? Call me.

(Clair Deletes text and continues her lunch with Aaron)

INT. SCENE 20 (LATE NIGHT ON FACEBOOK) - DAY

(Clair is on Facebook, writing on Aaron's wall when an 'IM'
pops up from Foster)

FOSTER
Hello? Clair what's going on? Want
to go on a late night jog? You
know you need to.

(She pulls the IM up, and then switches her IM status to
Offline)

INT. SCENE 21 (FOSTER GOES TO LEON) - DAY

(Foster grabs his keys and walks out the door)

(He pulls up to Wolf Creek Park and gets out of his car, he
goes into the forest but no one is there, leon isn't on the
bench and no where to be found.)

(Foster slowly walks away and to his car.)

INT. SCENE 22 (FOSTER GOES TO CLAIR'S HOUSE) - DAY

(Foster pulls up to Clair's house, he walks up the drive way
and see's Aaron and Clair on the couch, watching a movie.
They are both laughing and smiling, and Aaron has his arm
around her. Foster gets the idea that Aaron likes Clair)

(Foster leaves mad)

INT. SCENE 23 (FOSTER APPROACHES CLAIR) - DAY

(Clair is locking her door to her house to leave, Foster
pulls up in his car and gets out.)

FOSTER
Clair!

CLAIR
Oh, Foster. I don't have time to
talk, i'm meeting someone.

FOSTER
It's hard to get a hold of you now
a days.

CLAIR
Yeah, so it may seem.

FOSTER
What have you been up to?

CLAIR
Oh just, busy.

FOSTER
What's wrong, Clair?

CLAIR
Nothing, i just gotta go.

FOSTER
Who'ya meeting?

CLAIR
Aaron, we're having lunch.

FOSTER
You seem to be hanging out with
Aaron a whole lot.

CLAIR
Yeah, he's a good man.

FOSTER
What happened?

CLAIR
What?

FOSTER
You've been ignoring me for weeks
now, whats going on?

CLAIR
You've changed.

FOSTER
(pause)

CLAIR
Your not the friend i once had,
and now... your not my friend at
all.

(Clair walks away, Foster just stands there.)

(Aaron pops out the door after Clair is gone and takes out
the trash. Foster looks up at him.)

FOSTER
I suppose you wanted this?

AARON
Pardon?

FOSTER
Clair... She won't even look me in
the eye now. What have you done!?

AARON
I didn't do anything, Foster.

FOSTER
What did you say?!

AARON
Nothing that wasn't true, get over
yourself,Foster.

FOSTER
I have done Nothing to hurt,
Clair!

AARON
And who says you have?! You know
what your doing to her. She's
better with out you!

(Foster gets in Aaron's face)

FOSTER
Oh, and you would know about
hurting people! Excuse me and you
wise knowledge that you learned in
REHAB!

AARON
At least i admitted i was wrong
and made up for it! All you do is
yell and get defensive when you
know what your doing is hurting
the one person who actually cared!

(Foster starts pacing, emotional and angry)

AARON
Grow up for a change... This isn't
about me and you. It's about you
and Clair. Your hurting her for
your own self gain and it's
tearing her apart. Ha, i finally
got her to eat a normal sandwich
again. You know how huge that was
for her? Knowing that she didn't
have to starve herself, to impress
the world? Maybe you could learn

(Aaron shakes his head and walks back inside. Foster just
stands there.)

INT. SCENE 24 (FOSTER GOES TO LEON) - DAY

(Foster walks down the park pathway and sees leon chillin on
the bench again.)

FOSTER
Where have you been?

LEON
What?

FOSTER
I looked for you the other day and
you weren't there!

LEON
Alright, Mom. Calm down!

FOSTER
I'm sorry it's just... All the
advice you gave me is screwing
things up with clair.

LEON
Your still hung up on that girl?

FOSTER
I love her.

LEON
You love her??

FOSTER
Yeah, isn't it obvious?

LEON
Well what the heck man! Of course
my advice isn't working.

FOSTER
?

LEON
You don't tear down the girl you
love! That's common sense! I just
thought you wanted to get with
her... Now you've... you've

screwed things up.

FOSTER
What are you talking about! You
told me to degrade her!

LEON
I didn't know you loved her!

FOSTER
But-i just don't understand-gah!

LEON
Look, i thought that you had
common sense, obviously not. You
know what? I can't talk to you.
Barely even look at you.

FOSTER
I screwed everything up because of
you and your saying you can't even
look at me? Your a crazy old bat,
you know that?

LEON
At least i know what to do with
myself! Your the one coming to me,
remember?!

FOSTER
... I'm outta here.

(Foster leaves scene)

INT. SCENE 25 (FOSTER CONFRONTS CLAIR) - DAY

(Clair is sitting outside, sipping a coffee. Foster
approaches.)

FOSTER
Clair?

CLAIR
-acknowledged presence-

FOSTER
Clair, i'm sorry.

CLAIR
... I know.

FOSTER
You know?

CLAIR
Your not a bad guy, Foster.

FOSTER
-quite pause-

CLAIR
Your just in the wrong state of
mind.

FOSTER
So i'm crazy?

CLAIR
Ha, yeah i'd say.

FOSTER
But i mean it... I shouldn't have
treated you like that. Your
perfect, Clair.

CLAIR
Well, i'm not perfect...

FOSTER
Yes, yes you are. I've known it
for so long but all these years
you never once listened to me say
it.

CLAIR
It's something everyone says to
make the other person feel better.

FOSTER
But it's not! Clair your the most
amazing woman in the whole world,
and to me you mean too much for me
to loose you.

CLAIR
Thank you, Foster.

FOSTER
Clair, i really do mean that. I
care about you, and i mean... more
than, this.

CLAIR
Oh... Foster.

FOSTER
I know I've screwed it up, but i'd
like to know if you care for me
too... in that way?

CLAIR
-shakes her head- Foster, you've
always been that shoulder for my
head to rest on, But i haven't had
those kind of feelings for you.
They've been with someone else.

FOSTER
Oh... right.

CLAIR
I'm sorry, Foster.

FOSTER
Well, Aaron has been for you more
lately. I suppose i could trust
him with you.

CLAIR
Ha, Foster. Your so protective.

FOSTER
I still care about you, Clair. I
can push away some feelings but
caring about you will never leave.

(Clair smiles)

CLAIR
Oh! Don't tell, Foster i told you
that! I'm not entirely sure if he
likes me back!

FOSTER
Heh... no worries.

(Foster and Clair hug.)

INT. SCENE 26 (FOSTER TALKS TO AARON) - DAY

(Foster knocks on the door, Aaron opens with kind of a
repulsive look on his face.)

AARON
What? Again?!

FOSTER
No, no... white flag.

(Aaron leans on door post)

FOSTER
I talked to Clair.

(Aaron stands straight)

AARON
And?

FOSTER
heh, She's never loved me.

(Aaron huffs, relieved)

FOSTER
She's loved you.

AARON
Me?

FOSTER
Yeah... it's something about you
she couldn't get over.

AARON
Haha, man. That's uh... that's
news.

FOSTER
Yeah, but the way i acted wasn't
great.

(Pause)

FOSTER
I'm sorry, Aaron.

AARON
Ahh....

FOSTER
I was being ridiculousness
thinking that i could get her to
love me by breaking her down. It
was wrong, and i blew it.

AARON
So your back?

FOSTER
Not completely, it'll be different
from now but i think i'll get used
to things.

AARON
Well, i'm glad your back man.

FOSTER
Same, but just do me a favor?

AARON
Which is?

FOSTER
Take care of her.

AARON
ha, no worries, Foster.

INT. SCENE 27 (THEY MEET AGAIN) - DAY

(Clair and Aaron climb out of the car, shut the doors.
Foster is sitting on the same bench that they met Aaron at
in the beginning of the film. Clair and Aaron approach
Foster.)

CLAIR
Mind if we join?

FOSTER
No, no not at all.

(Clair and Foster sit down)

CLAIR
So we're hear again?

FOSTER
Yeah...

AARON
And we're all okay?

CLAIR
Yeah...

FOSTER
Well... I think we're at a good
end.

AARON
Beginning. A new Beginning.

CLAIR
I'm hungry, are you hungry?

AARON
I'm starving! Foster, you want to
join us?

FOSTER
Sure! Sounds good, mind if i catch
a ride?

CLAIR
Where's your car?

FOSTER
Oh i walked here.

(Aaron laughs)

(They all head out to the car, Foster is ahead of everyone
and Clair and Aaron are walking slower holding hands.
Suggested that they got together. )
