When a group of friends become subjects of an accident in space, they come back to Earth and learn that they have superpowers.

FADE IN:

INT. TORZAC, INC. - DAY

A man smiles that freakish smile that would scare you, like
the villain from any good Batman film. We slowly pan away
from his smile and see his face, as he talks, we keep
panning backwards to show people's feet as they stand in a
long line.

CLERK
Please have a beautiful
experience, and have a great time!

The person nearest to the clerk walks off, and the clerk
starts talking to the next person in line. Back towards the
end of the line, a group of six friends stand. We slowly pan
towards them and hear their conversation.

TARA
You guys are crazy to do this.

HANK
If were so crazy, why are you
going with us?

MIA
Because you guys are going.

RICK
I just get tired of sitting around
all day, watching tv and doing
absolutely nothing. I work for a
stuck up maniac, and I need a
break. What about you, Max, why
are you here?

MAX
I wanted to try something out for
a little while.

RICK
Yeah, exactly! Well, except that
part
'for a little while'. God, I'd do
this once, but twice? No, who's
crazy enough to do that?

TARA
People who are crazy enough to put
their lives on the line at least
once deserve a metal. Those who
put their lives on the line twice
(MORE)

TARA (cont'd)
are just crazy, and those who put
their lives on the line anymore
than twice are people we should be
bowing down to and thanking: Their
Gods.

HANK
Gods, really? You may be going too
far there.

MIA
Well she has a point, without
those people, we wouldn't have a
military.

PATRICK
Can you guys please stop talking
about that stuff? It makes me
really worried about my brother.

MAX
Your brothers one of those people?

PATRICK
Yeah, he's currently fighting in a
station in Afghanistan.

TARA
Sorry, Patrick.

PATRICK
It's cool.

HANK
I believe our initial point was
that us six are crazy to do this.

RICK
We did branch off to a different
subject, though.

MAX
That's the truth.

PATRICK
Look, the lines moving forward.

The line moves forward as eight people walk away. Max leads
them all up closer.

MAX
Let's hope we get a six person
ship. I don't want anyone to get
left out.

RICK
All we can do is hope.

MAX
Well, then, let's hope.

HANK
Yeah, man, if we all get on one
plane, it's going to be a crazy
coincidence.

RICK
Or fate.

Mia laughs.

RICK
What? Fate is what many believe
in. Fate is what keeps us alive
and wondering what will happen in
our lives next. Fate is real, why
are you laughing?

MIA
Maybe because bad things happen.
What's the point of believing
things greater than you if bad
things happen everyday.

TARA
Because, you have a shred of hope
each day.

HANK
And that's how babies are born.
Come on, guys, we're almost there,
can we change the subject before
that clerk hears us?

MAX
You scared of a little publicity?

HANK
Screw you, I don't want to be seen
with a crew talking about fate and
hope, that's all.

Max watches as the people in front of them all walk away
towards a big ship.

MAX
Here's us.

Max leads them forward, and he looks at the clerk.

MAX
Hey, can we get a six-seater?

CLERK
Oh, I'm sorry, sir. Someone just
took the last one about five
minutes ago.

MAX
What about any sevens?

            CLERK
I can get you a five, we need to
save sevens. Your a pilot.
      (Points to button
       on Max's shirt)
Sevens are for shooting, twos
through sixes are for flying and
bombing.

MAX
Okay, I'll, we'll take a five.
Someone will, just have to sit
out.

Max turns to the other five.

PATRICK
I'll go, Max.

MAX
You sure?

PATRICK
I'm a big guy, I can handle this,
Max. Trust me.

MAX
Thank you, Pat. I owe you one.

PATRICK
It's no problem.

Max and Patrick give each other a fist bump.

MAX
I'll see you on the other side.

PATRICK
Yeah.

Max walks off, and Patrick steps forward. Max leads his men
to a ship.

MAX
Alright, you ready for this
battle?

Max leads his men forward, and he steps into the camera,
causing it to fade to black.

EXT. SPACE - MOMENTS LATER

We show the black in space, then we turn and see a ship
flying by.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

MAX
Alright, Hank, Rick you got the
guns. Mia, Tara, you're going to
go unlatch the bomb hinge when I
tell you to. We will work as a
team, and we will win this war!

HANK
Tara, Mia, you two be careful.
Rick, we should go lock and load.

Rick and Hank run to a window. Hank starts loading
ammunition from a nearby book bag into the machine gun.

INT. PATRICK'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Patrick looks ahead as we slowly pan out of his eyes, he is
angry as he flies, another man on the ship with him.

DAVID
So, how are things?

PATRICK
Pretty good. How about you?

DAVID
Good. So, I'm David - and you are?

PATRICK
Patrick. Patrick Jacobs.

DAVID
Nice to meet you. You think we're
gonna win this war?

PATRICK
Of course.

DAVID
Yeah? Why's that?

PATRICK
Because we are humans. Mankind's
been fighting since the beginning
of time, and we live to see the
next day. That a good enough
answer?

DAVID
I wasn't trying to be rude, I'm
just trying to get along with you.
You know, make the best out of the
worst situations.

PATRICK
I'd appreciate it if you would
shut up, do what you specialize,
and let me fly.

DAVID
(Sighs)
Bastard.

David walks away.

PATRICK
Thank you.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Creatures, not any creatures, creatures we haven't seen
before. They look horrible, like your worst nightmare, they
have green slime that draws your attention and makes you
want to run. They run around the hallways in the main
corridor frame of the mothership. Through a window, we see a
ship pull up aside them.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

MAX
Ladies, now!

Tara and Mia run out of the flight room, and into the
hallways.

MAX
Shoot!

Hank and Rick start shooting. Through Max's windows, we
watch as bullets hit glass and shatter it into the
mothership.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Glass shatters, bullets fly, and aliens jump to the ground,
ducking. Some run around a corner and jump to the ground as
bullets follow them. Through the mothership, we watch as
Hank yells and continues shooting his machine gun, and Rick
shoots while looking at the species. An alien runs away from
the bullets and into another hallway, we follow him and show
another human ship flying towards the mothership.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Patrick flies to the mothership, and watches as the
mothership gets gunned down.

INT. PATRICK'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Patrick watches in fear, he turns and sees David is
preparing to gun them down with a machine gun.

PATRICK
Shoot!

David shoots, and bullets fly into the other side of the
mothership.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - HALLS - CONTINUOUS

Tara and Mia reach a door, they stop and eye each other,
wondering how to get inside. It has a padlock on it, we pan
away from the object and spin to show Mia breathing heavily,
and Tara holding to her knees as she kneels down.

MIA
(Sighs)
Shit. I got this, step back,
maybe.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - BOMB ROOM - MOMENTS LATER

The door flies open, and Mia stands behind it. Mia steps
forward, and Tara follows.

MIA
Now, where's this thing at?

There is a loud noise, and Mia and Tara fly to the ground.

TARA
Damnit!

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Max's ship is next to fire. We pan upwards and show an alien
shooting at him. The alien's ship explodes, and a human ship
flies by, closing down to Max's level.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Hank and Rick are on the ground, loading more ammunition in
their guns.

MAX
Sorry!

HANK
It's fine, you were doing your
job. Keep doing that.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Bullets fly, aliens are hit and fly to the ground.

INT. PATRICK'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

PATRICK
We got 'em! We got 'em! Those sons
of bitches are ours, now!

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - BOMB ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Mia twists a cylinder shaped door, and it impacts away from
their ship. Her and Tara watch as the cylinder hits the
mothership, it flies away from the mothership, and into
space.

INT. MILITARY BASE - CONTINUOUS

A man stands in front of a group of people, holding a ruler
and pointing at a television which has his power point on
it.

COLONEL
Now, as you can see here, these
creatures are from a planet called
Norwac, which is an exact replica
of Earth. We have dated them back
to having existed on a distant
planet called Transoca, which was
hit by a meteor. Because of their
destruction, they took over
Norwac, and now they live there.
They are an intelligent species,
so be careful out there, men!

Several stand up and run out of the door, the colonel
watches in fear and looks out the window, he looks up in the
sky.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Patrick flies close to the mothership's side.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTROL ROOM - CONTINUOUS

An alien looks out of a window, he looks down at a steering
wheel and steers it to the left - the side Patrick is on.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Aliens flip to the ground, bullets fly past them. The ship
flies over at Patrick's ship.

INT. PATRICK'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

DAVID
Patrick!

Patrick turns and sees the mothership, it crashes into them,
and they fly away from the mothership's side and out into
space.

PATRICK
God damnit! David, shoot them!

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

The door swings open, and Mia and Tara run in. Hank and Rick
shoot at the motherships as Max struggles to keep on the
same path. Through the window, we watch as Norwac ships fly
towards their ship.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Max's ship flies over a Norwac ship, another Norwac ship
flies for Max's, but is blown into pieces by an unknown
ship. A human ship flies above Max's, and a human shoots at
more Norwac ships inside of the ship.

INT. PATRICK'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Patrick spins the wheel angrily. The ship flies into the
mothership, closer and closer to the windows. David yells as
he shoots at the windows. Through Patrick's windows, we
watch as aliens fall to the ground. Patrick watches as he
crashes into the window of the mothership.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Patrick's ship flies into the camera, cutting it to black.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Max starts flying over the mothership, above it.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Max yells as he continues flying above the mothership. Rick
and Hank continue shooting. Hank tilts his machine gun and
shoots below them. Mia falls to the ground, Tara reaches out
for her. Hank stops shooting, he stands up and runs into
another room next to the room they are in.

HANK
Just a second!

Hank flips onto his back and kicks himself to a stopping
position, he then props up and grabs hold of the machine
gun, shooting at the ship below.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Bullets bounce off the mothership, the ceiling - which is
covered in glass - shatters.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Aliens duck as glass shatters over their heads.

INT. PATRICK'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

PATRICK
David! David?!

David sits up in the back seat, his face is now covered in
some blood.

DAVID
What happened?

PATRICK
I'll explain later, I think you
gained some injuries, lay down and
rest, don't sleep, though. Hang in
there, alright? We've got help on
the way.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Max continues staying over the mothership. Aliens fill
machine guns with ammo as we watch from above their ceiling.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

We pan along the feet of Norwacs. We pan along their chests
and show them finishing their job at loading machine guns,
they swing the machine guns outwards, preparing to shoot. We
pan along their faces and show them looking angrily at Max's
ship.

NORWAC
They have taken what we love most!
Our friends, our families, the
people we knew, and the people we
loved! They're gone, they're all
(MORE)

NORWAC (cont'd)
gone unless we stop this war right
here, right now! So if you want
your families to sleep one more
night, I suggest you shoot! One,
two, three! Now!

A Norwac's finger pulls the trigger of his gun. Bullets fly
out of the ship.

EXT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

We follow the bullets outside of the mothership, and keep up
with them as they fly closer and closer to Max's ship.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Max looks down below. Hank's eyes watch the incident, he
jumps to the floor and ducks. Rick yells and jumps to the
ground with Tara and Mia.

MAX
Oh shit!

Max swings the steering wheel, he flies to the side of the
mothership. Hank and Rick look up and watch as the bullets
fly above their ship. Max angrily swings the ship upwards
again, he flies above it.

MAX
Hold still! I'm gonna drop bomb
one of four.

Mia sits up and looks out of the window, she sees bullets
are flying at them.

TARA
Hurry up!

INT. PATRICK'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Patrick watches with wide eyes.

PATRICK
No!

Patrick grabs David's machine gun and shoots at all of the
Norwac men.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

A bomb falls slowly, we follow it from the bottom of Max's ship, and we stop as it reaches the outsides of the mothership.


INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Max watches as he holds onto the wheel. Rick, Hank, Tara, and Mia watch from the windows.


EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

The bomb hits the mothership, it explodes. Max's ship is burst away. Another ship above flies down low, and a Norwac holds out a machine gun.


INT. NORWAC SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

The Norwac yells in anger, he shoots his machine gun. He watches as the bullets strike Max's ship. The Norwac throws the machine gun and grabs a bazooka, he lifts it over his shoulder, and shoots.


INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Rick and Hank look upwards, the missile hits them. Rick and Hank fly backwards, Mia and Tara jump to the ground. Max spins the ship around and makes eye contact with the Norwac.


INT. NORWAC SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

The Norwac lifts the bazooka over his shoulder. Bullets strike his ship, and he turns to see a human shooting at him from behind.


INT. HUMAN SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

The human shoots his machine gun, he drops it in space and grabs a grenade. The man snaps the ring off and throws the grenade. The human jumps backwards and slams his door shut, he cups his ears and watches as his windows shatter.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

The Norwac ship explodes. Hank watches as his head hangs out
of the window, we pan into his face and he looks in fear.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

HANK
Guys... It just got real.

Hank sticks his head and turns to Max, he sees everyone is
looking in fear.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

The Norwacs shoot back at Patrick. They watch Patrick jump
to the ground and hide. A Norwac yells and spins around,
shooting at Max's ship right away.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

TARA
Shit!

Tara runs into another room, where she pounds on a glass
door blocking her from astronaut helmets. Rick and Hank duck
on the ground, looking at the chaos as it occurs. Glass
flies over Rick and Hank. Mia grabs Max's hand and pulls him
to the ground. Tara grabs an axe and swings it into the
glass. The glass shatters, and Tara grabs a helmet, she puts
it on and grabs the remaining four. Tara runs into the other
room and trips, she slides two helmets in Rick's direction,
and slides the other two to Max's side. Mia grabs hers and
puts it on, Max snatches his and puts it on, breathing
quickly as he puts it on. Rick and Hank look out of the
window, revealing they have donned the helmet as well.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

The mothership flies to Max's direction.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTROL ROOM - CONTINUOUS

The Norwac controller swings the wheel faster and faster,
laughing crazily.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Max yells and turns the wheel. The wheel swings around, and Max watches as they flip the ship upside down. Hank flies into the ceiling - which now serves as the floor. Rick grabs onto the ledge of a window, yelling as his legs swing up in the air. Max latches onto the wheel and yells angrily. Mia swings out of the room, Tara grabs her arm and drags her to freedom.


INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Norwacs laugh crazily, they swing their guns upwards. We pan into Patrick's face, he grabs the gun and shoots. The Norwacs are hit this time, they fly to the ground. Five shoot back, but Patrick continues shooting. He manages to kill them by shooting them numerous times in various places. Patrick yells and continues shooting after they are all dead, he shoots until the gun is out of bullets, and then he lets go, looking away as it smokes from the exhaust.


INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Hank grabs his machine gun and turns around, he runs across the ceiling and shoots out of the open windows. Rick jumps across the floor as Hank runs his way. Rick grabs Mia's hand and looks at them. Max flips the ship back around, yelling as he spins the wheel furiously. Rick, Tara, and Mia hit the floor like a bob hits the water. Hank flies to the ground, dropping the gun and landing on his back. Rick looks from where he sits, and sees Hank is laughing in joy. Max flies over the mothership.


EXT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Norwac ships fly into place. Max flies above the mothership.


INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Patrick and David stand outside of their wrecked ship, Patrick swings David's arm around Patrick's neck and hears the sound of an explosion, Patrick runs off, David limping aside him. The two run into the hallways and continue running as the explosion catches up, blowing the floor behind them.

16.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

MAX
I'm done fighting, this ends right
now!

RICK
I don't think so, Max.

MAX
Yeah, why?

HANK
We've got company.

RICK
And because there are human beings
on that ship below us. That ship
we just bombed, for Christ sake!

Max looks down and sees the wreckage falling from the
mothership, including a human ship.

MAX
Damnit.

HANK
We've got company.

MAX
I didn't see them before, Rick.
You know that, don't you?

RICK
No more bombing! We are not
stooping to their level!

TARA
It's war, people die everyday,
especially in war.

MIA
You're not the captain, Tara. Let
him do what he decides to do, we
have to have faith that he will
get us home safely.

MAX
Of course I will. Do you not --

HANK
God damnit! We have company!

17.

MAX
What company? What?! I don't see
them, what company are you so
worried about?

Bullets fly into the ship. Rick and Hank jump to the ground.

MAX
Get down!

Tara and Mia jump to the ground as bullets fly at them. Max
flips a switch.

MAX
We have to do this.

RICK
Max, if you push that button, we
are dead! If you push that button,
we have given in and admitted to
the enemy that they are greater
and that we... That we cannot win
without killing our own kind.

MAX
This is our way out of this, Rick!
If I don't push this button, we
are dead, we are all gone in less
that a minute! So tell me, do you
wanna live, or die?

Max presses the button. Rick yells, and stands to run, but
bullets fly at him and he ducks once more. Max jumps to the
ground as a bullet flies at him. The explosion pushes Max's
ship backwards. Hank watches out of a window as the Norwac
ships fly into the explosion and burn.

HANK
Yes! We did it! We managed to get
them off of our tails!

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

PATRICK
Hurry!

Patrick and David run down a hallway. Norwac come running,
and Patrick reaches for a handgun.

PATRICK
Stay quiet.

DAVID
No, don't!

Patrick shoots one, the others cower up against the wall.
Patrick and David run to them, and Patrick swings his gun at
one.

PATRICK
You guys are a real pain in the
ass, you know that?

GARMOTH
Yeah, I've been told.

Garmoth smacks Patrick across the face with a handgun and
knocks Patrick and David to the floor.

GARMOTH
Now, continue to the escape exits.
We'll leave these fools behind.

Norwacs run off, and Garmoth smiles as he swings a gun out
at Patrick's head.

GARMOTH
I've always had it out for humans,
especially ones of your kind. The
strong ones, the ones who think
they can manage something that no
human can, simply put. I'm done
dealing with you freaks of nature,
you pathetic animals. You are
nothing compared to us, and we are
everything you've wanted to be. We
laugh at you when we sleep at
night, and when we eat in the
morning. I wish you bad luck in
this war, I hope you fail, and I
hope you die. I hate you! I never
want to see a human as confident,
and as stupid as you again. So,
give me one reason why I shouldn't
pull this trigger. This trigger,
all it takes is a push, and your
life is gone. So, tell me, why do
you deserve to live? Time is
ticking.

Patrick spits out blood and looks up at Garmoth.

19.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

MAX
I had to do it! We've managed to
win, now haven't we?! Now we have
one bomb left, and we are going to
use it to win this war, god
damnit!

RICK
If you do this, your proving that
we have lost humanity over these
species, Max.

MAX
We're in a war, this has nothing
to do with humanity!

RICK
You're wrong, Max, and you will
learn soon enough.

MAX
I could care less who wins this
argument, all I need is for you to
stand down, and to go back to your
position.

Rick angrily walks away. Hank looks at Max, and Max angrily
breathes as he stands behind his chair, looking out of the
window. Mia and Tara look at Max.

MAX
I don't know about you four, but I
for one want to live, so I'm
pressing this button, I'm dropping
this bomb on this species. And I
hope they learn not to fight us
again, because I want my children
to sleep at night, I want to be
able to sleep with my life, and to
laugh with my family! I don't want
to be scared, I don't want to be
alone! Because that's where we're
headed if we give in. Humans may
be dying, but they're dying for a
good reason.

Max reaches out to press the button.

20.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

PATRICK
So I can't give you one reason to
let me live, but I suggest you
stop pointing that gun at my god
damn face!

Garmoth smiles as he puts his finger closer to the trigger.

PATRICK
I hope you burn in hell when I
kill you.

GARMOTH
(Laughs)
You can't kill the king.

PATRICK
Yeah, we'll see about that.

Patrick snatches his gun and shoots at Garmoth, but misses.
Garmoth kicks the gun away and falls to his knees, punching
Patrick across the face and angrily shoving the gun right
into Patrick's forehead.

PATRICK
Civilization is lost, so you can
pull the trigger.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

Human ships fly nearby, next to Max and launching at the
mothership.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

RICK
I'll admit it's your call, but
know the results, know the
consequences, Max. I want you to
know what may happen if you press
that bomb, you may be killing an
entire race and saving another, or
you may be proving the point that
we are trying to false!

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

PATRICK
Do it, pull the trigger and kill
me right here, right now! Where I
stand, where I will die if you
pull that trigger. Are you deaf,
damnit? Do it! Do it! Pull the
trigger, you son of a bitch!

Garmoth smiles and closes his finger around the trigger.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

MAX
I know.

Max presses the button.

EXT. SPACE - CONTINUOUS

We pan down the line of ships assembled, showing the bottoms
as bombs go off. Bombs hit the mothership, and explosions
are made. Fire blasts. We reach Max's ship, and nothing
falls.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

MAX
What the hell?

Hank and Rick watch as all of the human ships fly away as
fast as possible.

MAX
I pressed the button! I pressed
it! Where's the bomb?!

Hank runs off.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Garmoth flies to the ground, dropping his gun. Patrick
covers his ears as debris starts falling on top of him.

22.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - BOMB ROOM - CONTINUOUS

HANK
Shit.

Hank uses his shoulder to nudge the door open and sees a
bomb next to their bomb. Hank looks at the ship's bomb and
sees it is jammed, he looks at the Norwac bomb and sees it
is counting down, he reads that there are five seconds
remaining.

INT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Hank jumps into the main room as an explosion goes off
behind him. Max turns around and sees the explosion, he lets
go of the wheel and stands up. Rick runs over to Tara and
Mia and steps in front of them. The wheel spins furiously.
The ship flies towards the mothership, visible through the
windows. Max steps in front of Rick. The ship collides with
the mothership. Max flies to the ground, along with Rick and
Mia. Tara jumps to the ground as another explosion takes
place.

INT. MOTHERSHIP - CONTINUOUS

Max smashes into the mothership, and the explosion hits.
Patrick sits up and sees the explosion behind him, he
watches as the ship breaks apart. Garmoth runs into a
hallway, leaving David and Patrick behind. Patrick grabs
David and they run off, but Patrick trips and drops David.
Patrick sees a human ship flying by, and yells. The
explosion goes off.

EXT. SPACE - EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE - MOMENTS LATER

We watch as Max, Mia, Tara, Hank, Rick, Patrick, David, and
the other two humans get closer and closer. They are flying
through space, away from the crash and towards the camera.
As they fly past, Max being the last to fly by, we pan
around and show them flying into Earth's atmosphere. They
are sucked in incredibly fast, and disappear from our view.

EXT. BARN - MORNING

We show the bright sun hitting the sky, and we pan downwards
to show a barn with a hole in the roof. We pan into the
hole, and we continue until we are inside the barn.

INT. BARN - CONTINUOUS

We continue zooming inside the barn, and we do not stop
until we reach an unconscious Rick's eyes. Once there,
Rick's eyes open up like he has to get up. Rick sits up and
looks around at the barn, he sees the hole.

EXT. BARN - MOMENTS LATER

Rick walks out of the barn doors and walks away from the
barn, he sees a chicken pin and sees Mia is inside of it,
she is still asleep.

RICK
Mia.

Mia awakens and sees Rick.

MIA
I thought we...

RICK
Died? Yes, I know, it's a miracle.
We were in an explosion, and we're
still alive! What are the odds?

MIA
Where were you at when you woke
up?

RICK
In that barn over there. We were
nearby on the ship, and we are
nearby here.

MIA
We were all nearby on the ship,
does that mean everyone's nearby?
Wait, did they all live?

RICK
Well, I think so, I mean... I feel
great, I don't feel hurt or sick
or anything, it feels like the
normal, good day. I'd assume so,
but maybe we're still alive
because we were farthest away from
the explosion. And in that case,
Hank might not...

MIA
Oh god.

RICK
It's not official, I'm just trying
to piece everything together,
remember.

MIA
Well, what do we do then?

RICK
I think we should go to a
hospital, make sure there is
nothing wrong with us.

GABRIEL (Off-Screen)
I'm afraid I can't let you out of
my sight.

Rick and Mia turn to see a man.

GABRIEL
Hey, I'm Gabriel, pleasure to meet
you. I've been testing on people
with powers for about fifteen
years now, it's my life's work.
I'm gonna need you two to come
with me.

RICK
We're not going to be your test
subjects.

GABRIEL
Relax, I only test you to see what
powers you have, otherwise, it's
like your own home.

RICK
Prove it.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - MOMENTS LATER

Gabriel walks through doors, leading Rick and Mia inside as
well. Rick looks around the building in amazement. People
walk around like they are all busy, and Gabriel smiles as
they stand for a moment.

RICK
Your Gabriel Sanders, correct?

GABRIEL
Yes.

RICK
Nice to meet you.

GABRIEL
I've known you for a long time,
we've had our eyes on you for the
last six hours, I know everything
about you. You have a sister, a
father who left you at the age of
four, a mother who died of cancer,
and a brother who could care less
about you, a drug addict, correct?

RICK
How'd you know?

GABRIEL
As I said, this is my job, my
legacy. I've read all about all
nine of you who were in the
explosion, all of you got a power,
some of you more than others, some
of you will be the very thing that
changes the world, and others will
use this power for evil.

RICK
What do you mean - evil?

Gabriel leads them up a flight of stairs.

GABRIEL
I'm afraid I'm not authorized to
tell you such information.

RICK
Then who is authorized?!

GABRIEL
I'm the manager, no one can give
you such information. You'll find
out soon enough.

MIA
Can you see the future?

GABRIEL
(Laughs)
Of course not.

RICK
Quit talking like you can, then.

GABRIEL
Have I angered you? I'm incredibly
sorry if I have angered you, I did
not mean to, you know. I am simply
telling you the truth, the whole
truth, and nothing but the truth.

RICK
Don't give me that shit, Gabe!

GABRIEL
You don't have the authorization
to talk to me in that manner.

RICK
Yeah, well who does?

GABRIEL
No one.

RICK
Well, that makes me the first.
Now, tell me what you are saying.

GABRIEL
I'm saying you're destined to find
out what I said about evil. You
know it, I know it, everybody in
this building knows it.

Gabriel leads them off the stairs and onto a floor above
now.

RICK
Don't you have elevators?

GABRIEL
Well, with people in this building
such as yourself - excuse my
context, but the unusual - they
are hazardous.

EXT. STREETS - CONTINUOUS

Hank and Tara walk down the sidewalk, each looking around.

HANK
Max! Rick!

TARA
Mia!

A car pulls up alongside them. A man steps out.

LARRY
I'm gonna need you two to come
with me.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - MOMENTS LATER

Larry leads Hank and Tara up a flight of stairs.

HANK
Are our friends okay?

LARRY
We've got two more of your friends
here, we are currently looking for
one.

HANK
Which one?

LARRY
Max Simmons.

EXT. SIDEWALK - CONTINUOUS

We show the sidewalk, but we are interrupted when a face
jumps up and blocks our view. Max is sweating badly, he
yells angrily. He holds onto his knee and stops yelling,
falling back to the ground. Several people look over at him.
Max sits up, and sees a car pull up.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - COMPUTER STATION - MOMENTS LATER

We show a computer screen, and on it there is a video
showing Tara shooting ice from her hands and into a wall. We
pan away from the computer screen and turn to reveal Max is
watching it, Gabriel stands next to him.

MAX
Why do we have these powers?

GABRIEL
Radiation. It was in that
explosion, and it gave you these
powers.

MAX
Who all knows about this?

GABRIEL
Everybody in this building, FBI,
the CIA, the president, the
politicians.

MAX
Are we gonna be released to the
public?

GABRIEL
No. No, of course not. We're gonna
test you, see if there is a cure,
and if there is, we will get it, I
assure you. And I can promise you
that you will not see yourself on
the news, for as long as I can
stop it, at least.

Max looks at Gabriel's cain he has in his hands, and sees a
scar on Gabriel's face.

GABRIEL
I know you're wondering, and it's
okay to ask. I've been working
here for fifteen years, my father
started this when he worked for
NASA and found out secrets about
this country - secrets that nobody
should have to know. My father
started this business thirty-eight
years ago, and he died fighting to
protect the creatures inhabited
inside. NASA teamed up with a
group of politicians, and they
killed my father outside these
very doors. Not long after, they
raided the inside, killed the
misfits. They saw me, and they
mistook me for one of them. They
shot me in the leg four times, it
took the president of NASA to stop
the shooters, and then, it was too
late. I took over at age eighteen,
I bought the place from my
brother, and I worked with people
just like you and your friends.
One day, we were testing on an
experiment, and the man got so mad
he broke free. We ran after him,
but he wasn't trying to escape. He
grabbed a gun and shot himself in
the head. His blood got on mine,
and I had to cut my skin off
before it could infect my entire

I'm sorry.

GABRIEL

cruelly, and then one day, it's so
mad at you, the mistakes you've

gives up and, it just throws you

about who has powers?

GABRIEL
Patrick Jacobs.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - EXPERIMENTAL ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Patrick closes his eyes and vanishes from where he was
previously. The man running the camera in the room turns
around, and Patrick kicks him in the gut, knocking him to
the floor. Patrick swings his arm outwards, and everything
goes flying. The camera flips over and hits the ground.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - COMPUTER STATION - CONTINUOUS

MAX
He's a complete freak.

GABRIEL
Don't you recognize those powers?
He's just like --

MAX
Me.

GABRIEL
I'm sorry, Max, but right now, we
are having troubles coming up with
a cure.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - EXPERIMENTAL ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Patrick runs to a door, but is shot in the arm and flies to
the ground, unconscious. Guards run in, swinging around a
leash for Patrick.

PATRICK
No! No! I have to get out of here!

GUARD
Shut up you pathetic freak of
nature!

INT. SANDERS, INC. - COMPUTER STATION - CONTINUOUS

A CD is pressed into a CD-ROM in the computer.

GABRIEL
Here are your friends. Mia
Toronto, Richard Munfrey, Hank
Rodgers, Tara Rodgers, and you.
Correct?

MAX
Yes.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - EXPERIMENTAL ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Patrick is lead out, his head in the leash and being forced
to follow the guards out of the room.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - COMPUTER STATION - MOMENTS LATER

MAX
Mia watch out!

On the computer screen, Mia is shown. A man walks behind her
with a gun, but she vanishes and soon after the man is
kicked to the floor.

GABRIEL
Remember son, this isn't happening
right now. This was filmed earlier
today. I assure you, all of your
friends are fine. They can handle
their abilities now.

Hank is shown, he bends down and grabs a weight and lifts it
up.

GABRIEL
He lifted more than he previously
could.

Max watches as Hank drops the weight. Hank turns into metal
just before the weight hits his feet, and he lifts it up,
going back into human form and throwing the weight aside.

MAX
I thought you said everything went
nice and fine, tell me the truth!
Are they all okay?

GABRIEL
Find out for yourself.

Max turns and sees Tara raising her hands, she shoots ice
from her hands and into the camera. The camera spirals to
the floor. A production board flips shut, and the man runs
away from the camera lens, revealing Rick. Rick closes his
eyes and yells, he turns into a beast-like creature, almost
a dragon, and spits fire as he yells in pain.

MAX
Can they control this?

GABRIEL
Yes, all four of them.

MAX
Did anyone get hurt?

GABRIEL
No. Jesus Christ, why don't you
believe me?
(Laughs)
Do you want me to go get a
certificate from MPAA or
something? God damn, they're all
fine, I promise you. You can see
them right now, if you want to.

MAX
I can?

GABRIEL
Yeah. Yeah, of course.

MAX
Bring me to Mia.

GABRIEL
You sure?

MAX
Yeah.

GABRIEL
Follow me.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER

GABRIEL
Now, I expect you to be on your
best behavior. No fighting, no
yelling, just be quiet. Don't keep
the others up late, okay?

MAX
I understand.

Gabriel stops and takes out a key, putting it into a
doorknob, and twisting it.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - MIA'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

The door knob is twisted open, and Gabriel swings his hand
forward, gesturing for Max to walk inside. Max walks inside,
and Gabriel shuts it behind him.

MAX
I just got here.

Max turns around from the door and sees Mia is running at
him, she hugs him immediately.

MIA
They wouldn't tell us anything!
For all we knew, you died in that
crash, you vanished. They didn't
say anything, if you were lost,
dead, hurt, we were so worried.

MAX
I'm here now, and that's all that
matters.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - COMPUTER STATION - MOMENTS LATER

Gabriel presses a button on a remote. On a computer screen,
six dots pop up, each a different color, showing Max, Mia,
Hank, Tara, Rick, and Patrick. Gabriel smiles and presses
the button, turning it off.

LARRY
Gabe, get over here!

Gabriel walks over and sees Patrick on the computer screen,
looking up at the camera menacingly.

GABRIEL
What the hell's the problem with
him?

LARRY
Was. What was the problem with
him. These cameras have a ten
second delay, remember?

GABRIEL
Sound the alarms, lock the doors!
I want every god damn officer out
in these hallways doing their
jobs! We're into some serious
trouble, right here, right now!

Gabriel runs to a desk, he swings it open and grabs a gun.
An employee presses a button on the wall.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

Patrick's walks down the hallways. An automatic lock goes on
all of the doors silently.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - MIA'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Mia looks at a lamp and turns to see Max is sitting next to
her on the bed.

MAX
I can't help but feel like - like
this was my fault.

MIA
This wasn't your fault. Up there,
that day, you did everything you
could to stop the war. You did,
did they tell you? The war's done,
we're the only thing left to
remember it by.

MAX
Is this a bad thing? Are we - are
we the devil's products?

Mia sits up and hugs Max from behind.

MIA
No, we're just... Super. And we
will use these powers, these
gifts, for good, not for evil. We
will make a living with them, we
will find a way, I promise you.

INT. TORZAC, INC. - CONTINUOUS

A door swings open, and a man walks into a garage. The man
looks at a group of space crafts in lines, down both halves
of the room. The man walks up to one space craft where
another man is welding it into piece.

GEORGE
Bobby, how's it going?

BOBBY
Listen, George. I'm not going to
work anymore than I have to. It's
a shame that my own brother forces
me to work more than I should have
to. Pathetic, actually.

GEORGE
I'm doing a survey, actually.

BOBBY
On what?

GEORGE
Should we go viral. You know, take
this to the next level. It just
gets boring, having only the
government know what we do, what
we are doing to make a difference.
I want this to go public, soon
enough, people will begin to fly
our crafts into the future.

BOBBY
It sounds like you could care less
about the people you survey.

GEORGE
Come on Bobby, this business is
just as much yours as it is mine.
All you have to do is agree, I
need twelve more votes and we move
forward. Please, just picture it.
The whole world in our hands! Why

not just, take the leap?

BOBBY
I'm fifty-four years old, my
doctor says I'm not supposed to
kneel down, let alone jump.

GEORGE
Come on Bobby, this is our final
step to freedom, our final step to
success. What do you say?

BOBBY
I'm sorry, but I don't think there
ready.

INT. NORWAC - CONTINUOUS

A species of creatures run by, wielding spears above their
heads and yelling crazily. They continue running, chasing
after a bear. The bear runs forward, and a spear hits him.
The bear turns and gets on his hind legs, clawing at one and
knocking one to the ground, and getting another across the
face leaving a scar. The group steps back, and watch as a
spear hits the bear in the side, knocking him to the ground.
The aliens turn and see Garmoth standing, laughing at the
bear.

GARMOTH
Do we need to learn how to hunt
properly again, men?

ARMY
Sir no sir!

GARMOTH
Then what was that pathetic
nonsense I just saw?

The army is silent.

GARMOTH
If you can't even hunt a bear, why
should I bother bringing you to
Earth to destroy the human
species?

Garmoth turns around and walks off, leaving them in the
forst by the bear.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - HALLWAY - DAY

Patrick walks to a window and looks at Max and Mia, who are
now sleeping. Patrick smiles and grabs the door knob.

GABRIEL
Let it go you son of a bitch!

Patrick turns around and see that Larry and Gabriel are
pointing guns at his face. Patrick swings his arm away from
him, and the two flip against the wall. Patrick turns around
and swings his arm forward, opening the door to Mia's room.
Patrick walks in, and slams the door shut behind him.
Gabriel sits up and watches in fear.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - MIA'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Max stands up, looking at Patrick. Mia lays, still sleeping.

PATRICK
You always have loved her, haven't
you? To tell you the truth, it's a
little beautiful, no matter how
foggy the person's mind.

MAX
Let her sleep, she doesn't need to
know you were ever here.

PATRICK
Fine by me.

MAX
Why are you here, then?

PATRICK
Join me.

MAX
I believe that something greater
gave us these powers. And whoever
that was, they gave us these
powers for a reason. We can't use
them for evil.

PATRICK
But we can.

MAX
I don't want to be evil, I want to
go down in history as someone who
did a good thing, not someone who
threw everything away, and just
(MORE)

turned to the dark side.

PATRICK
(Laughs)
We didn't throw everything away. I
didn't, at least, for my three
other colleagues, I can't say.
This is your fault, Max.

MAX
I've been thinking that myself.

PATRICK
Good, I want you to know that you
are responsible for the end of the
world.

MAX
I'll die before I let that happen.

PATRICK
(Smiles)
Well, you'll have to. Because me
and my men, we're devoted. We will
do whatever we have to do, we will
do whatever it takes, we will do
the only thing we have to, and we
will win this war.

MAX
What war? Why are you talking
about a war?

PATRICK
I had a vision of the future, our
future if we don't stop. It ends
badly, war, blood, violence,
chaos. Everyone but me and my
people die. Everyone. You, your
wife, your friends. Everybody you
love you will never see again,
unless you convince them to join
me, unless you lead them into my
side.

MAX
No, this is your choice. It
doesn't have to end this way.

PATRICK
It's our legacy. We were born for
the day that everything ends. We
were born for Doomsday.

MAX
Speak for yourself.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

Gabriel and Larry stand side-by-side, buckling up a bullet
prove vest.

GABRIEL
You all know what we're up
against! I expect war!

Gabriel turns and sees an army of workers, all wearing vests
and holding machine guns.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - HANK'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Hank's eyes open, he sits up and hears yelling. Hank stands
up and walks over to the window. Out of the window, Hank
watches as Gabriel and Larry lead men to a door.

HANK
Tara, wake up!

INT. SANDERS, INC. - RICK'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Rick watches as Gabriel and Larry run to a door, he runs
over to a window.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - MIA'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

PATRICK
Make your choice, Max.

MAX
I'm not participating in a
downfall.

PATRICK
You have made the wrong choice! I
will win this war! We will go to
war no matter what side you are
on, and you just chose death!

INT. SANDERS, INC. - HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

GABRIEL
Ready? Now!

Gabriel kicks the door down.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - MIA'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Mia sits up, looking at Patrick and Max. Patrick swings the
door shut, and vanishes. Max turns around, and Patrick
punches him, knocking him to the ground. Mia jumps to the
ground with Max. Patrick sees guns and smiles. Gabriel and
his men shoot several bullets. In slow motion, the bullets
fly at Patrick's face, he swings his hand out and stops
them, they fly right before his face, and fall, bouncing off
of his nose, and falling to the ground. The bullets hit the
ground, and Patrick walks over them.

GABRIEL
Oh shit!

Patrick swings his arm, knocking the army to the ground.

MAX
Patrick, don't do this!

PATRICK
It's a free country, Simmons.

Patrick walks off, swinging his arm and throwing Gabriel
along the wall.

GABRIEL
Max, I'm sorry!

MAX
Mia, we have to go, now.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - RICK'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Rick grabs a chair and throws it at his window. Glass
shatters, and Rick runs out of the window, jumping and
leaving the room empty.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - HANK'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Hank walks over to the door and swings it open.

HANK
Tara, we have to go for the exit,
now.

INT. SANDERS, INC. - HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER

Max leads Mia, Hank, Tara, and Larry to the main exit. Upon
arriving, they see Patrick has beat them and that he is
trashing the place. Patrick clenches his fist, and a
chandelier above falls to the ground, shattering. More
lights are shattered above Max and the group's head, and
they all duck, running for the door. Max kicks the door open
and leads them outside. Patrick looks at Gabriel and throws
him across the room, transporting nearby Gabriel and
punching him in the face.

GABRIEL
You son of a bitch! You're a
coward, a pathetic freak. That's
all you are, you are no man, your
only power is the power of showing
how worthless and pathetic you
are. So if you're gonna kill me,
kill me, end my life with my
legacy, right now you sorry
bastard.

PATRICK
You asked for it.

Gabriel starts to hang off the ground, Patrick laughs as he
turns around. Patrick walks to the main door, the ceiling
starts falling through behind him, crumbling on top of
Gabriel. Debris crumbles as Patrick walks out of the main
door.

EXT. SANDERS, INC. - CONTINUOUS

MAX
Wait, wait.

Max turns around and sees that Patrick is walking out of a
building.

HANK
Was Rick in there?

MAX
Mia, stay here.

TARA
Max, you're not going to search
for someone when you can just be
killed!

MAX
I have to go back for him!

Max runs off, towards Patrick, yelling as he gets closer.
Patrick smiles and swings his arm in the air, knocking Max
backwards, on his back and on the ground.

PATRICK
You are no man, Max Simmons, you
are weak, your friends are weak,
everything around you that you
loathe will get destroyed because
you are nothing.

Patrick glides his arm towards himself, swinging Max closer
and closer.

PATRICK
I have an army, I have more
powers, I have more control, I
have a legacy.

Max slides into Patrick as he lays on his side. Max yells,
he kicks Patrick in the chest and knocks Patrick onto the
ground himself. Max slides his arm towards him, Patrick
flies right at Max, and Max punches Patrick in the face.
Patrick kicks Max in the chest. Both on their backs on the
ground, they start using their arms to pull one another
closer and to use this advantage to punch or kick them. Max
punches Patrick on the ground, but Patrick shoves Max off
and punches him repeatedly. Patrick laughs crazily, but a
hand grabs his shoulder and throws him onto the floor away
from Max. Rick stands above Max, smiling and reaching out
for Max's hand.

MAX
I knew you'd pull through.

RICK
I always have.

Max stands up.

MAX
What are we gonna do with him?

Max turns around and sees Patrick has vanished.

MAX
We have to get with everybody,
keep them safe for now.

EXT. SANDERS, INC. - LATER

Firemen spray water at the burning wreckage of Sanders, Inc.
Larry stands next to one, looking at the destruction.

LARRY
Is it possible to repair something
from this wreckage?

FIREFIGHTER
I'm afraid not, but you can get in
touch with people who do that work
for you.

LARRY
Thank you.

Larry walks away, and the fire fighter continues spraying
water at the debris on fire.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - LATER

Larry removes a screwdriver from the insert in a remote and
sets it down, he flips the remote over and presses the
button. A noise is made, and Larry looks up to see a green
dot with Max's name under it.

EXT. STREETS - CONTINUOUS

Max leads everyone down the street.

RICK
What now?

MAX
We'll find my house, and we'll
stay there for tonight.

HANK
We can't just be on the streets
for an hour, Max! Why don't we
just hitch a ride or something?

            MAX
You think I haven't thought of
that?
      (Stops walking,
            (MORE)

       turns to face
       them)
Look, Patrick can do anything -
including shape shift. We have to
be careful in this new world we
are living in, or else Patrick
will lure us in - somehow. He may
be here right now, beneath our
noses. We cannot trust anyone, not
even each other.

MIA
How are we supposed to get by
without trusting anyone?

TARA
Do you want us just to hide?

HANK
We can't just hide, we can't. If
we hide, we're bowing down to him
and showing him that he can
control us, I'm not hiding, Max.
You can't just run for all your
life, you just can't.

MAX
We were given these powers for a
reason, a purpose. And we have to
find this purpose, or what's the
point? What's it all mean if we're
just gonna go on talk shows and be
public, something's in our future,
and we owe it to ourselves to live
to that point, but that won't
happen with Patrick nearby. He's
blood thirsty, he will not stop
until he has killed us all.

RICK
And he's more powerful than all of
us, except for you?

Max nods.

HANK
We can't just let Max fight our
way out of this, I'm not gonna
standby and watch my friend die,
I'm not gonna let him die.

MAX
That's enough, my life is mine,
not yours. I will not let you
decide my future. I have to live
my future, my destiny, even if I
die in the end.

RICK
Then we'll all help. We'll all go
out, side-by-side to stop the
future.

MAX
You don't realize. He said that he
saw a vision of the future, he
said that he would win!

HANK
It's not true. We will do what it
takes to win.

TARA
What it takes to win? No! I will
not kill innocent people just to
win.

MAX
Patrick is not innocent. He's the
bad guy, he's the villain, we
don't have to kill to win, he
does.

MIA
Tara, think of all of the people
out there like us. They don't
deserve to die. And he's out
there, starting a war, and he'll
kill them all. He will not stop
until the world is in his grasp
and then, and only then, will he
let go and end his war. But then,
it will be too late, we will be
dead, along with everybody else
who tries to stop him, and he will
be superior.

MAX
I don't want my friends out there,
throwing their lives away! I'm
going by myself, and that's final.
Go to my house, stay there for a
night. Mia, do you have the keys?

MIA
(Checks pocket)
Yes.

MAX
Okay, lock the doors, lock the
windows, and stay safe. Hank,
Rick, I want you to guard the

A door swings open and Larry leads everyone inside.

This is your new temporary home.
There are four rooms, one for me.

you stay here. Patrick does not
know about this place. One room is
off limits, my lab.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - MAX'S ROOM - MOMENTS LATER

Max and Mia stand by a bed, making it with blankets.

MAX
Keep your voice down, he may have
cameras watching us this very

Max walks over and shuts the door to their room. He turns to
see Mia, and walks back to where he was.

So your answer is no?

MAX
I don't know. I think we should
give it some time, if he does
anything unnatural and we can't
trust him, we'll leave. I promise

Where will we go?

MAX
Just give me some time to think!
I'll have a game plan soon, okay?
Right now, the best thing to do is
to go about like he is normal, and
then, if he's not, we'll leave

even if you have to leave through
somewhere that is not a door. You

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - DINING ROOM - MORNING

The trash can lid is opened and a container of butter is
thrown in. Larry walks away from it, over to a stove where a
frying pan is heating up breakfast. At a table nearby,
everybody sits in chairs. Silence fills the room, it is
awkward.

LARRY
So, how'd everybody sleep?

Everyone mumbles in distorted unison as they say one word:

ALL
(Not in unison)
Good.

LARRY
Good, were the bed comfortable? I
apologize if they were not, those
three rooms used to belong to me.
I just bought the beds after the
building got ruined.

MAX
(Changing subject)
How do we know we can trust you?

Everything goes silent after this. Everyone stares blankly
at Max as he looks at Larry. Larry turns and sees Max is
looking at him.

LARRY
I used to say the same thing about
you when Gabriel was still here.

MAX
Just answer the goddamn question,
Larry.

LARRY
Well I suppose you can't.

MAX
Larry, knock off the bullshit and
give me one reason why me and my
friends should stay here.

HANK
Easy, Max! Give the guy a chance.

MAX
Tell me that when he's walking
side-by-side with Patrick, coming
to kill us.

LARRY

TARA
That wasn't the question, the
question was how can we trust you.

LARRY

even make an attempt to kill you?
Your my friends, I helped you, so

Everyone is silent for a moment.

LARRY
Can you just trust me? I mean, I'm
giving you a house to stay in! I'm
allowing you to sleep here, to
practice outside of these walls,
and... You're questioning me like
I've never been questioned before.
You're asking me to prove
something that cannot be proven
until I die. Put your trust in me,
and I promise you, I promise all
of you I will not let you down.

Max looks at Larry.

MAX
Okay.

EXT. LARRY'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON

MAX
We can win if we set our minds to
it, but first, we have to learn to
control our powers, and to use
them properly.

Max swings his arms out and shoots a fireball out of his
hands. It crashes into a tree, and a metallic Hank puts it
out with his hands.

MAX
All of us have to, no matter how
long it takes, no matter how hard
it is.

In beast form, Rick grabs a car and throws it at Hank. Hank
snatches it and smiles, setting it down undamaged. Larry
runs out of the door and down the steps on the porch.

LARRY
That was very expensive! Please
don't do that again, it's a car,
not a frisbee!

Hank grabs the car and starts to walk it back to where it
was.

MAX
But in the end, it will pay off.
In the end, we will win.

Rick yells as he starts forming into a beast. He spits out
fire and yells as he falls to the ground, forming back into
a human.

MAX
You've got this Rick, do what
feels natural.

Rick stands up and yells, he forms into the beast quickly.
He spits out fire and jumps up, flying off.

MAX
We've been to war, and were about
ready to go to another. We can do
this.

Tara closes her eyes. She holds out her hand and shoots a
piece of ice at a birdhouse, knocking it to the ground.

MAX
Good job.

TARA
Thanks.

Max runs at Mia, she disappears. Max stops, he holds his
fists up and looks around, and flies to the floor. Mia
reappears, and Max smiles as he looks up at her.

MAX
You are good.

Max yells, breaking glass on the car windows. Larry runs
outside and covers his ears, falling down the steps.
Everyone covers their ears as Max continues yelling.

LARRY
Hey! Hey! Stop it!

Max stops.

LARRY
Do that in the wear house over
there.
(Points)
It's not that far away, you
should be able to get to it in
about twenty-five minutes.

MAX
More like twenty-five seconds.

Max closes his eyes, preparing to transport.

LARRY
No, no, no! Don't do that!

Max opens his eyes.

MAX
Why not?

LARRY
You cannot control your powers
yet. Currently, at the moment,
they are unstable. All of yours,
not just his. Right now, if you do
this, you could end up in China or
God knows wherever else. It's too
volatile at the moment. Walk,
please, it'll save us time and
trouble.

Max sighs.

EXT. WAREHOUSE - LATER

Everyone stands and watches from the outside of the
warehouse.

INT. WAREHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

MAX
Stand back out there! Ready?

EXT. WAREHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

LARRY
Ready!

INT. WAREHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Max yells loudly. He covers his ears and continues yelling,
spinning around to face each window in the warehouse. The
glass shatters on every window, falling to the floor on the
inside and the outside of the warehouse. Max stops and looks
at it.

EXT. WAREHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

LARRY
He did it! He did it!

Everybody cheers, smiling, laughing, and clapping.

EXT. LARRY'S HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER

Max yells and runs at Hank. Hank grabs Max's fist and lifts
him over his head, slamming him on to the ground.

MAX
You always were a bully, Hank.

HANK
You'd better shut up if you want
to keep all of your teeth.

Rick runs and jumps over a hurtle, then flying off from
there. Rick swings his arms - now wings - and continues
flying. Everybody watches and smiles.

MAX
Good job, everyone.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER

Larry sets plates on the table. Max walks in the door.

MAX
I'm sorry about earlier today.

LARRY
It's fine, we all get curious
about things, it's simply nature.

MAX
I've got to ask about something
Gabriel said to me and Mia before
we left.

LARRY
Go ahead.

MAX
He said that he was sorry. Sorry
for what?

LARRY
There are secrets in this world
that you should not know about.

MAX
Cut the bullshit and tell me what

LARRY
Gabriel Sanders was a man of
peace, integrity, but he was also
a liar, and he knew the day would
come when I would have to tell you

LARRY
He was funding cures for people

ones, that's what he would call

LARRY
Because George Torzac was paying
him to do it, he made five million
dollars in six months trying hard

EXT. STREETS - NIGHT

Patrick leads three men down the streets.

PATRICK

Are we going to walk all the way

Yes, but it is not that far.

ERIC
You have been there before?

DAVID
Yes, but not for a few days.

PATRICK
Eric, Kingsley, we're almost
there. David, escort them to the
front door, I will get everything
ready.

KINGSLEY
Get what ready?

PATRICK
Oh, you two have a lot to learn,
and even more to adjust to.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - MAX'S ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Max sits on a bed next to Mia, who is lying down and reading
a book. Max reaches over and grabs the book from her hands,
putting a bookmark in it and shutting it.

MAX
I need you to know this. I'm sorry
for dragging you into this.

MIA
Max, it's not your fault. Learn to
except God's plan.

MAX
I'm sorry, it's just... Lately, I
feel like something's off. I feel
like, like no matter how hard I
try to do the right thing it won't
work, something bad's going to
happen every time. I feel like
we're doing something wrong.

MIA
We're gifted, not bad.

MAX
I hope you're right.

INT. CIVILIAN HOME - CONTINUOUS

Everything is silent until... Patrick kicks a window open,
breaking the glass and sending it to the floor. A man and a
woman run down the stairs, Patrick grabs the man and throws
him up against the wall, choking him and holding him off the
floor with one hand. The woman screams wildly, Patrick yells
and everything shatters. A mirror shatters. Exposed glass
shatters, the windows shatter. The girl grabs a wooden chair
and smacks Patrick on the back, but he doesn't flinch.

PATRICK
Kingsley, handle the fool.

DAVID
No, I've got her.

PATRICK
Are you deaf or dumb? I said
Kingsley, Kingsley, get her.

DAVID
Why him?

PATRICK
Because I like his power.

Kingsley lifts the top of his cane, and a sword comes out.
David and Patrick watch, David in surprise and Patrick in
enjoyment. Kingsley lifts the sword over his head. Eric
watches in fear. Kingsley slides the sword back in his cane,
he turns and walks back to where he stood before.

DAVID
So, what's his power?

PATRICK
Kingsley, please explain to our
guest.

KINGSLEY
The cane's implanted into my hand.

            PATRICK
      (To Kingsley)
Thank you.
      (To Man)
Are you scared?

The man nods.

PATRICK
Good.

Patrick throws the man to the floor, he swings a gun out and
pulls the trigger.

EXT. AVENUE - MOMENTS LATER

Patrick raises a machine gun and shoots at a window. David
and Eric shoot more machine guns at other houses. Kingsley
sees a husband and a wive grabbing two children and running
off, he passes the house and shoots at the next one.

PATRICK
You forgot one!

KINGSLEY
No, don't gun down those four.

PATRICK
Why not, man? It's just a little
fun.

KINGSLEY
Why are you killing innocents?

PATRICK
It'll be all over the news. We'll
be feared, they'll think we're
going to do this again. We'll
start a trend, based on the fear
we calculate from this event.

KINGSLEY
I don't want to be involved.

PATRICK
Think of the message: Fear is what
keeps you breathing. Think of our
power after tonight, it's
brilliant! So, shoot them.

KINGSLEY
What?

PATRICK
You heard me. Shoot them and you
can be a part of our team, a part
of our family.

Kingsley raises the gun and closes his eyes. His finger
brushes the trigger. Bullets blast out of the gun. Kingsley
drops it, and looks at Patrick, who is laughing.

PATRICK
Face it, you have to stay with me.
You can't get hired at a gas
station or McDonalds, for Christ
sake, you're different. What does
a society do when new things come
along? They treat them like trash
until they prove themselves
worthy. I'm all you've got, and
that's why you'll stay on my side,
why you'll help me fight the five
people coming to kill us, and why
you will do what I tell you to.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - MORNING

A fist pounds three times on a door in a panic.

LARRY
Everybody get up! On the news, you
won't believe it!

A door swings open, and Max stands tall and tired.

MAX
What is it?

LARRY
It's Patrick. Come and take a look
for yourself.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER

On the television footage shows ruined houses. Larry and the
five stand and watch the screen.

HANK
God damnit, when are we going to
get him back? When are we going to
invade his life and ruin it like
he did to us?

MAX
Soon, we will get him for this.

HANK
You keep saying we're going to
fight him and win and it's
bullshit! You're too occupied with
a war that may not even happen.
He's doing this and we're sitting

Hank punches Max across the face and onto the ground.

What the hell is wrong with you?

Rick punches Hank across the face. Hank grabs Rick and slams
him onto a kitchen table, he raises his fist and punches
Rick the stomach hard. Rick yells in pain and flips off the
table, holding onto his stomach. Hank grabs a toaster and
throws it at the television screen, cracking it and shutting
the picture off.

HANK
When you're ready to make a
difference, come find me.

Hank walks to the door, opening it and spitting blood onto
the floor. He walks off and slams the door shut.

LARRY
Are you okay, Max, Rick?

Rick pushes himself up against the table and catches his
breath, raising his hand and wiping blood away from the
bottom of his mouth.

MAX
Larry... He was right, Hank was
right, we have to do something,
tonight... Do you have everything
we need?

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - OFFICE - LATER

A cardboard box is thrown onto a table. Larry opens it up
and grabs a blue suit, handing it to Max. Larry passes Rick
a green suit. Max folds his out and sees a 'D' printed on

You gave us names without

LARRY
We used them in the lab when
talking about you. It made it much
more easier for us, we didn't have

called you, he told me he wanted
to name you after a superhero he
came up with when he was younger.
When we couldn't find you, we
would say 'Hey, I've got a lead on
Deathray', or 'Hey, that lead
didn't fall through, where's
Deathray'?

MAX

Rick looks at a 'C' on his suit.

LARRY
(To Rick)
Creature.

RICK
How did you get our sizes?

LARRY
I may have gotten them when you
were sleeping.

MIA
I'm gonna start locking our door,

LARRY

What'd you name me?

Tara looks at an 'I' on her suit and runs her hand over it.

LARRY
Icy. We got a little lazy making
names sometimes, but yours, we all
liked yours, simple and fun.

Mia looks down at the 'G' imprinted onto her suit and she
smiles.

            LARRY
      (To Mia)
Ghost, that was yours.
      (To All)
Hank was Torpedo, I'll give him
his as soon as I get him back.

TARA
I'm sorry for his behavior, he has
anger issues, he's been getting
them treated, but ever since the
incident, he feels like a freak
and doesn't want to go and see his
therapist.

LARRY
I'll get him, and I'll calm him
down. Now, back to business, I
found Patrick's new residence last
night. It is a warehouse that has
two main entrances, a front and a
side.

INT. PATRICK'S WAREHOUSE - NIGHT

Patrick, Kingsley, Eric, and David stand inside of the
warehouse, drinking beer and practicing their powers.

KINGSLEY
I would have preferred your home.

PATRICK
I didn't know that cops would be
on me for our stunt, my plan was
to get in and get out, but someone
saw us, someone... It's under
watch, now, useless.

ERIC
Hey, I'm gonna go out for a
cigarette.

Eric walks for the door as Patrick swings his fist and
breaks glass while Kingsley and David drink from beer
bottles.

EXT. PATRICK'S WAREHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

The four stand in their suits, looking at the warehouse.

MIA
Where's Hank?

MAX
We can go without him for a day.

RICK
We've got a dragon, a ghost, a
girl who shoots ice, and a guy who
can do nearly anything, I think
were good for a day without a man
who can lift heavy stuff.

MAX
Here comes one.

RICK
I've got it.

Eric reaches for his lighter, but he is punched across the
face by Rick.

RICK
Come on!

Max leads the two forward. Max grabs the door handle and
swings it open.

INT. PATRICK'S WAREHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Max leads them in the door. David gulps his beer down and
throws the bottle up. Floating in the air, Patrick catches
it and smashes it with his bare fist, not even flinching as
he drops the broken glass to the ground. Max shoots a flame
ball at David and Kingsley, knocking them to the ground.
Patrick sends one for Max, but Max catches it and throws it
aside. Patrick jumps to the ground, right in front of Max,
and he punches him, knocking him to the ground.

RICK
You son of a bitch!

65.

Rick becomes the beast and spits fire at Patrick. Patrick
watches the fire emerge towards his face, closer and closer,
as he stands and lets it come closer and closer in slow
motion. Patrick tilts his head and the fire barely flies by
his tilted nose. Patrick turns his head back and kicks Rick
into the wall.

TARA
Bastard!

Tara swings her arm out and a piece of ice strikes Patrick
in the chest. Patrick flips to the ground and holds his
stomach in pain. David holds his hand out and Kingsley grabs
it, standing up. Eric jumps through the window, turning into
a wolf and flying for Mia. Rick grabs Eric and throws him
into the wall. Max swings Patrick towards him and punches
him. Patrick kicks Max away from him, drags him forward and
slams his head onto the ground.

RICK
Max, they're attacking!

MAX
I'm a little sidetracked at the
moment!

David runs forward really fast in slow motion, he jumps and
kicks at Tara's face.

RICK
Tara!

Rick grabs Tara and in slow motion we watch as he pulls her
head back, barely dodging David's foot and sending David
over them and onto the floor. Patrick yells and raises
himself and Max up to the ceiling, higher and higher.
Kingsley runs at Mia with his sword, yelling angrily. Rick
kicks Kingsley to the ground and is tackled to the floor by
an angry Eric. David grabs a dagger and jumps up, putting it
next to Tara's neck.

MIA
Drop the dagger, you bastard!

David smirks, pushing the dagger closer and closer into
Tara's throat. Mia runs and kicks him to the ground. The
dagger falls, along with David. David jumps at Mia, she
vanishes but he manages to knock her to the ground
nonetheless and she reveals herself once more.

RICK
Max! I'm doing my best but they're
still winning!

66.

Patrick pushes his fingers into Max's head and laughs
crazily as Max yells in pain. Mia runs and kicks David's
dagger to the side of the room, she turns and sees Kingsley.
Tara shoots a piece of ice at Kingsley, but he blocks it
with his sword, knocking it to the floor.

DAVID
(Off-screen)
Hello, gals.

Mia turns and sees David is behind her. David smacks her
across the face. Rick yells as he furiously tries to free
himself from the wolf Eric. Eric holds Rick down as he tries
kicking himself free, but he cannot. David grabs his dagger
and swings it over his head. Tara yells as Kingsley holds
her down, she frees her arm and punches Kingsley, then
kicking David to the ground. Mia feels her face and grabs
David's dagger, throwing it at Rick and Eric. Rick yells as
the dagger hits Eric's arm right next to Rick, freeing Rick
as Eric yells in pain.

MAX
I've won.

Max knees Patrick in the chest, knocking them to the floor.
The two land and Patrick jumps off, breathing heavily and
holding onto his chest in pain.

PATRICK
You've won... This time.

Max stands up and looks at his group.

MAX
Let's go.

Max leads them to a door, he opens it and walks out.

EXT. PATRICK'S WAREHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

Max walks out, but is punched across the face. Hank looks at
the ground and sees Max, he kneels down and looks at him.

HANK
I'm sorry, I thought you were
Patrick.

Max spits out blood and looks at Hank. Hank looks guilty as
he looks down.

MAX
I don't feel good.

Max's head falls and his eyes close. Hank grabs him and
stands up, looking at the group and leading them away.

INT. PATRICK'S WAREHOUSE - CONTINUOUS

The four stand wounded as they watch the five leaving their
building.

DAVID
Should we get them?

PATRICK
No. I want to win this war with
power, not with pity.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - OPERATION ROOM - MORNING

Larry walks inside of a room and sees Mia is hugging over an
unconscious Max.

MIA
He spoke when we laid him down but
he hasn't since, is that a good
sign?

LARRY
Let him get his rest.

MAX
Larry's right.

Mia jumps.

MAX
I'm just... Too tired to... Speak.

LARRY
He's a soldier, always has been. I
am one hundred percent confident
he'll be walking away from this
soon.

MIA
Soon? How soon?!

MAX
How long... Has it been? Since
the...

LARRY
Two hours.

What happened?

LARRY
Patrick poisoned you. Now you
cannot control many of your powers
the way you used to, it's like a
parasite.

MAX
Did he... Leave?

LARRY
Town, no. The warehouse, yes.

MAX
We have... To end this...

LARRY
No, you're in no condition to go
out there and endanger your life.

MAX
Heroes die... All the time... Let

Larry grabs a syringe and injects Max's arm. Max grabs his
arm and yells in pain, grabbing the syringe and throwing it
at the wall.

LARRY
You're even more unstable than I
thought. Listen, this will help
you function, you will talk
correctly.

Larry pins Max's arms down and injects him with another
syringe, pushing the top down and giving Max the fluid
inside. Max yells and Mia grabs his head, kissing his cheek
and looking at Larry as he removes the syringe.

MAX
You son of a bitch!

LARRY

LARRY
Enough. Just, don't worry.

An alarm goes off and Larry looks up in surprise.

MAX
What is that?

LARRY
Mia, I need you to get Max to
safety in the back of my car. I'll
meet you with the others in five
minutes.

MIA
Larry, what is it? What's
happening?

LARRY
It's Patrick, he's inside the
building.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - HALLWAY - MOMENTS LATER

Larry runs around a corner, leading Hank, Rick, and Tara
with him.

RICK
Hank, go help Mia with Max!

Hank runs off in the opposite direction.

RICK
Larry, hurry up!

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

Larry grabs a remote and sees a green dot that says 'Max'
and a red dot that says 'Patrick'. He grabs the remote and
puts it in his pocket. Larry grabs a backpack and swings it
over his shoulders.

INT. LARRY'S HOUSE - HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

Patrick leads his men around a corner.

RICK
Oh shit! Larry!

Larry runs out and swings a gun at Patrick. Patrick swings
his arm out, and Larry flies up against the wall. Tara
shoots a piece of ice into Patrick's foot, making him fall
to the floor.

LARRY
Run!

Larry presses into Rick, trying to make him run.

RICK
Tara! Come on!

PATRICK
You bitch!

Patrick raises Tara in the air and yells as he grasps his
fingers tighter and tighter. Rick and Larry watch as Larry
grabs Rick, urging for him to run with him. Tara holds her
hands around her throat as Patrick smiles. Tara turns to
ice, and it bursts. Patrick stands up and looks at Rick, who
is crying and in confusion. Larry grabs Rick by his shirt
and runs off.

INT. LARRY'S CAR - MOMENTS LATER

Hank sits in the driver's seat, Mia in the passenger, and
Max lies in the back. A door swings open and Hank looks out
of the window to see Rick and Larry are running off. Rick
jumps in the back with Max and Larry jumps in last, shutting
the door.

RICK
We have to go, now!

HANK
Where's Tara?

LARRY
There's no time to explain,
they're on their way as we speak!

HANK
I'm not driving until I know where
my god damn wife is!

RICK
She's dead! Just like us! What's
so different between her being
dead and us? We are all dead, all
of us! Me, you, Max, everybody in
this car is dead unless you drive!
So start the car and drive!

Hank starts the car.

LARRY
Hurry!

A fist punches through Rick's window. Rick looks and sees
David is reaching inside for him.

RICK
Drive! Now! Drive god damnit!

Hank drives off.

EXT. LARRY'S CAR - CONTINUOUS

David flips to the ground, holding onto his arm and moaning
in pain. Patrick looks down at him and sighs, he grabs a gun
and swings it to David's face.

DAVID
(Begging)
No! I can still run! I can help
you.

A gunshot goes off.

EXT. TORZAC, INC. - MOMENTS LATER

The car pulls up, and Larry, Rick, and Mia rush out of the
seat. The three run to the building.

INT. LARRY'S CAR - CONTINUOUS

Hank sits in the back with Max, crying as he looks down at a
gun in his hand.

MAX
I'm sorry Hank, about everything
we've been through the last few
days.

HANK
You have no reason to blame
yourself.

MAX
But listen to me, I realize my
sister - your wife - just died,
but you need to do what Rick told
you to do when he handed you that
gun, you need to keep watch and
protect us both.

HANK
Max, we've got company.

EXT. TORZAC, INC. - CONTINUOUS

Patrick stands in front of Larry's car. Patrick smiles in a
disdain manner.

PATRICK
I'm going to go after the others,
you two stay here and watch these
ones.

Patrick closes his eyes and vanishes.

INT. TORZAC, INC. - DAY

RICK
Come on! This way!

Rick leads Mia and Larry behind a desk. Underneath, Rick
grabs a gun from his pocket and checks to see it is loaded.

INT. TORZAC, INC. - GEORGE'S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

George stops typing and looks up from his computer. A noise
is heard, and George grabs a hidden shotgun from under the
table.

GEORGE
Who's there? You wanna go, punks?
Huh? You wanna play games? I am
the richest man in this city, and
I will put you in your place
unless you stand down!

George opens the door and starts walking out.

INT. TORZAC, INC. - CONTINUOUS

GEORGE
I'm not hearing any answers!

Under the table, Rick reaches out and picks up the gun from
the floor.

GEORGE
You wanna play games? I will win
any day!

George starts walking and a hand grabs his gun, throwing it
in the ceiling's direction and making a shot go off. Patrick
kicks George to the ground and grabs the shotgun, twirling
it around and smiling.

RICK
That's Patrick. Larry, you stand
up and send off a shot. Me and Mia
will make a run for it, you follow
after us but be careful.

Rick hands Larry the gun and pushes him upwards. Larry jumps
up and shoots at Larry. In slow motion, Patrick slows the
bullet and smiles as he runs his finger across the side of
it. Patrick stops smiling and watches as the bullet flies
off direction and hits the ground. The bullet dances by his
feet, and he steps on it, moving his foot around it like how
you would out out a cigarette. Patrick walks forward.

RICK
Now!

Larry runs after Mia and Rick. Patrick yells and swings his
arms up. A table flies at Larry. Rick swings a door open and
holds it as Mia runs inside. Larry runs for Rick as the
table flies behind him. Rick grabs Larry and throws him
inside, he jumps face-first to the ground as the table
breaks the glass doorway behind him.

GEORGE
Son of a bitch. Son of a bitch!
I'm gonna sue you for every cent
you have, do you hear me?!

PATRICK
Yes, but I don't feel like
listening.

74.

Patrick swings his fist. George flies backwards, ramming
into a desk. Patrick walks to the room that the three have
entered, and he drops the shotgun to the side of his legs as
he walks.

INT. GEORGE'S CAR - CONTINUOUS

Max and Hank duck as gunshots fly at them. Glass has
shattered.

EXT. TORZAC, INC. - CONTINUOUS

Kingsley pulls the trigger of his machine gun. Eric shoots
another machine gun but is not smiling. The shells run out
of Kingsley's gun. Kingsley stops, and Eric runs out soon
after.

INT. LARRY'S CAR - CONTINUOUS

MAX
Shoot! Now!

Hank jumps up and shoots Eric in the arm. Hank's finger
grazes the trigger once more. Kingsley falls to the ground.
Hank swings his door open and steps out.

EXT. TORZAC, INC. - CONTINUOUS

Hank runs over and sees Kingsley and Eric on the ground.
Hank kneels down and sees Kingsley does not have the sword
attached to his hands.

ERIC
Thank you.

HANK
What did I do?

KINGSLEY
Look at my hand! I'm free! I'm not
a freak anymore! I don't have to
work for one, either!

ERIC
We always worked for Patrick
because he told us lies. He said
that there wasn't anywhere else
where people like us could go to
work. After that night we fought
you, he told us if we left, he

ERIC (cont'd)
would kill us along with you.

HANK
That's horrible. So, I... I cured
you?

KINGSLEY
Yes! You saved us!

HANK
I don't see how... Rick handed me
this gun, he didn't know about a
cure.

INT. TORZAC, INC. - CONTINUOUS

Rick laughs cheerfully as he flies a spaceship out of a
window. Patrick runs after them, but cannot catch them in
time.

EXT. TORZAC, INC. - CONTINUOUS

Larry looks at Hank down below. Hank looks up and sees that
the ship is flying to his level.

            HANK
      (To Eric and
       Kingsley)
Should I... Should I bring you
guys with?

ERIC
No, we want peace, not war.

Hank runs over and grabs Max out, he helps Max walk to the
ship and jumps on with Max. On the ship, Mia rushes forward
to help and they set Max down on his back.

INT. TORZAC, INC. - CONTINUOUS

Patrick steps inside of a ship himself.

EXT. NORWAC - MORNING

Norwacs watch as spaceships fly off of their planet. They
all cheer, and a king smiles.

INT. NORWAC SPACESHIP - CONTINUOUS

Garmoth stands and looks out the window. He turns to a group
of soldiers.

GARMOTH
We have been ordered to help, not
to dance. Our mission is simple,
our objective is clear... We must
kill five men before they can stop
my old friend Patrick Jacobs.
Sure, we had a rough time a month
ago, but since then he has reached
me and we have spoken. He will pay
us a home on Earth if we kill all
five targets.

EXT. MAX'S SPACESHIP - MORNING

A tarp is removed and Max, Larry, Rick, Hank, and Mia stare
down at the spaceship.

EXT. SPACESHIP - MOMENTS LATER

In the sky, Hank looks down at the ground as people gather
around for a parade.

MAX
Happy fourth of July, guys, sorry
we won't be celebrating until
Patrick is stopped.

Larry walks over and sets a cardboard box on a nearby table.

LARRY
I care for you guys. I want you to
wear your suits.

MIA
I told you guys to keep them on.

RICK
Well, our husbands didn't just get
poisoned by a madman at the time.

LARRY
The point is, if you die - I hope
to God nothing like that ever
happens - but if you die, I will
know full well that you have died
because you were wearing your

Max sighs and reaches in the box for his.

EXT. SKY - MOMENTS LATER

As people march down the streets, Patrick flies his new
spaceship in the sky. Patrick laughs as his ship meets up
with Max's. Patrick rams into Max's spaceship. Everybody
flies onto the ground of the spaceship. Patrick stands up
and walks over to the ship.

PATRICK
Such a shame I must ruin this
incredible country the same day
that it was started.

MAX
You're not ruining this country,
you're not ruining anything.

PATRICK
I beg to differ, for I've got an
army.

MAX
An army? What army? You're two men
aren't here.

PATRICK
You're nerd found a cure and
poisoned them back to normal. So
be it, I've got millions coming
here to infiltrate this place any
minute now.

MAX
Millions? Wow, that's a big
number. I don't trust that,
though, because I learned not to
trust psychopaths, their not very
good counters.

Patrick points up in the sky. Max and his crew look up. Ten
spaceships hurtle down towards the grounds.

EXT. STREETS - CONTINUOUS

People point up in the sky. Families run, young children cry
as they are carried. The parade marchers are all crazily

running in different directions. A fire fighter looks up in
fear. Cops run out with guns.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS

PATRICK
What do you know? It's chaos!

Max yells and rips a panel open, he grabs an item that looks
like a suitcase and throws it on the ground. The moment it
hits the ground, it transforms into a motorcycle, and he
throws it in Hank's direction. Mia and Rick grab one, and
Larry throws one at his feet, flying backwards as it hits
him.

MAX
We can handle this, we're
superheroes.

Max grabs a suitcase and sets it down, then punching
outwards and knocking Patrick to the ground.

MAX
Go! Now!

Hank and Mia drive off of the side of the ship. Larry
hesitates, and Rick pushes him. Rick pushes his motorcycle
and jumps on as it flies down. Patrick stands up and swings
his arms towards him. Max's ship flies forward. The suitcase
flies for the ground, but Max grabs it, he jumps upwards as
his ship flies towards Patrick. Max swings the suitcase into
Patrick's face, it becomes a motorcycle and he sets it down.
Patrick swings his arms out, and Max blocks his attack.

EXT. STREETS - CONTINUOUS

Hank lands on his motorcycle and keeps driving forward,
shooting a machine gun at impending Norwacs. Mia lands, but
jumps off as her bike flies into the window of a nearby
flower shop. Larry flips off of his bike as it lands nearby.
Rick lands, but the bike falls on his leg as he lays on his
side. Rick grabs a gun and points it up, shooting a nearby
Norwac soldier in the head. Garmoth grabs a machine gun and
shoots at civilians knocking them to the ground. Hank shoots
at Garmoth, but he jumps out of the way before it can hit
him. Mia grabs her gun and shoots a Norwac to the ground.
Larry smacks a Norwac across the face with his backpack, he
swings it off of his back and digs out the remote, he turns
it on and sees everyone's circle.

79.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS

Max lays on his side and kicks Patrick in the face. Max
stands up, and Patrick yells, swinging his arm out. Max's
ship bursts away, and Max flies off of Patrick's ship,
flying to the ground. Max grabs the edge of the ship and
jumps up, kicking Patrick across the face and landing
safely. Max stands above Patrick as Patrick lays face-first
on the ground. Patrick laughs as he spits out blood.

EXT. STREETS - CONTINUOUS

Hank drives the bike into Garmoth, and flips off. Garmoth
grabs his gun and aims for Hank's face. Hank kicks Garmoth
aside and stands up. Mia grabs a Norwac and throws it into
the window, she shoots another in the face and ducks as
another runs at her. Mia shoots the Norwac that passed her
in the back. Larry runs behind a corner and grabs a gun,
shooting as Norwacs start to corner him.

EXT. SKY - CONTINUOUS

PATRICK
Give up! I will win!

MAX
Never!

Max swings his arms forward. The ship flies to it's side,
starting to fall. Max grabs his motorcycle and rides it off.
Patrick looks ahead as he falls closer and closer to the
ground.

EXT. STREETS - CONTINUOUS

Cop cars park and cops jump out, shooting at Norwacs behind
their open doors. Hank grabs a Norwac and throws it aside,
he grabs a machine gun and starts shooting at the Norwacs.
Mia jumps to the ground as Norwacs are hit by her. Larry
ducks as his Norwacs are all hit. Garmoth yells and smacks
Hank to the ground. Garmoth reaches for his sword. Rick
leads the cops forward and shoots at Garmoth.

RICK
Let him go!

GARMOTH
He's killed my warriors, my
friends!

80.

Garmoth grabs Hank by the shirt and slams him into the
ground. Rick raises his gun.

RICK
No! Release him!

Hank crawls away from Garmoth, spitting out blood and
holding onto his chest as he moans in pain.

GARMOTH
Nobody fights me and lives!

PATRICK
Killing him won't be necessary.

Rick turns and sees Patrick.

PATRICK
Garmoth, he's mine, hand him over
if you want that piece of land we
talked about.

GARMOTH
This is not your job, it is mine,
you gave it to me, and I shall
finish it.

PATRICK
Listen to me you freak of nature!
He is mine, if you touch him once
more I shall kill you.

Garmoth smiles, he reaches for his sword. Patrick yells and
shoots Garmoth in the back. Garmoth falls to his side.

PATRICK
Cops never shoot the heart. They
never realize how much simpler
things would be if they actually
did just shoot in the heart. Of
course, then again, these cops are
not real cops.

RICK
What the hell are you talking
about?

Mia watches from where she stands. She is pulled closer and
falls to the ground. Patrick smiles at Rick.

PATRICK
Look behind you.

Rick turns and sees the cops are gone, he turns and sees the
cop cars are gone also.

RICK
What the hell?

PATRICK
I've already won. This is the
world where I win. This is
reality.

RICK
You psychopath! You think you've
really done it. You're so
delusional that you can't see the
truth. People are still alive,
humanity is still here! They just
left!

PATRICK
Exactly. I have won, they are too
afraid to fight me.

RICK
So this is what you meant when you
said you'd won.

Patrick nods and throws Mia to the ground.

MIA
Rick, he's lying! Don't fall for
it!

PATRICK
My plan has been accomplished, I
have become the king. So, now why
is there a point in living? You
could all leave today, you'd be
doing yourself a favor!

MIA
Rick, run! Get help!

Patrick swings Rick to the ground. Patrick grabs Garmoth's
sword and raises it over his head. Hank looks up at Patrick.
Patrick smiles. Rick and Mia yell, but we cannot hear them.
Patrick swings the sword down. Hank's body falls,
motionless. Patrick wipes blood off of his cheeks and drops
the sword to his feet, the first noise we hear yet. Patrick
turns around and we hear yelling. Max appears into view, and
he yells as he rides his motorcycle closer and closer to
Patrick. Max rams into Patrick, and flies off the
motorcycle, grabbing Patrick as they fly off of it. In the

air and in slow motion, Patrick and Max struggle to see who
will win this time. Max closes his eyes and presses his
thumbs into Patrick's head.

INT. CHURCH - CONTINUOUS

Max and Patrick land. Max angrily yells and punches Patrick
across the face. Patrick grabs Max and throws him up towards
the ceiling. Max flies into the clock, breaking it and
grabbing onto the minute hand before falling off of the
church's side.

EXT. CHURCH - CONTINUOUS

Max looks down, and people look at him in fear.

EXT. STREETS - CONTINUOUS

Rick, Mia, and Larry run down the streets.

RICK
So he was making me imagine all
those cops?

MIA
He's powerful.

LARRY
I've got a signal!

Larry runs off with them.

EXT. CHURCH - CONTINUOUS

Patrick walks along the side of the church, towards Max, who
is holding on for dear life.

PATRICK
Just let go. This is merely my
imagination in your head.

MAX
I'm not gonna believe one more
word you say to me!

PATRICK
Why not, pal? Why don't you say,
you fall, I'll catch you?

MAX
You're tricking me into dying! I'm
not gonna please you by giving my
life.

PATRICK
You always were smart. Always. You
always thought not one step but
two steps ahead of me. That ends
today, I'm putting your powers
with mine after I kill you, using
your new friend.

MAX
What are you talking about?

PATRICK
Oh, Larry didn't tell you? He's a
rare kind of us, just like Gabriel
Sanders, a kind that was born with
their power.

MAX
Larry wouldn't have lied to me.

PATRICK
But he did, oh, yes he did.

MAX
You're trying to get me to believe
you and it's not working.

LARRY
(Off-screen)
It's true.

Max looks down below and sees Larry, Mia, and Rick are
running his way. He sees Patrick is reaching for his face,
but is frozen.

LARRY
(Off-screen)
I'm sorry, Max, I had to do it.
You don't realize everything, and
I'm afraid you may not have time
for an explanation. I have powers
just like you, I'm one of the two
in existence who were born with
them.

MAX
Get Patrick to stop.

84.

LARRY
(Off-screen)
I'm afraid nobody is that
powerful, nobody but you.

Patrick starts moving again, slowly. His hand reaches for
Max's face. Max yells and elbows Patrick in the gut. Patrick
tumbles towards the edge of the building. Down below, people
gasp as they watch. Max grabs Patrick and jumps. Everyone
yells in surprise.

MAX
Let's end this together!

Max closes his eyes. Once again, the two appear on top of
the church. Max watches as Patrick falls down the shingles,
trying to catch one but missing every time. Max runs and
kicks him in the face. Patrick grabs Max's foot, and they
both fall off of the church. On the ground, Max sits up and
sees Larry, Rick, and Mia running his way.

MAX
Larry, give me a sample of the
cure!

Larry digs it out of his backpack and moves towards Larry.

RICK
Wait, guys, wait.

LARRY
What is it?

RICK
I think he's dead.

Larry feels for Patrick's pulse and looks at everyone,
nodding.

MAX
I didn't... I didn't mean to, I
thought things could be normal! I
thought things could change and
that we would be friends again!
(Cries)
He made me do this! He made me do
this! He made me, I didn't want
any of this to happen, this is on
him! None of it goes down as my
fault!

Mia grabs Max by the shoulders and watches as he cries over
his dead old friend.

MIA
It's going to be okay.

RICK
I want the cure.

LARRY
But you can use your powers for
good! You can use them to defeat
men like him!

RICK
Destroy the cure right afterwards
so another group of people like us
can do it, I don't care, but I
don't want to fight my way out of
every situation I come across in
life. Alright, I just don't want
that!

LARRY
Max, Mia, do you agree?

MAX
Yes. I want to be normal again.
Mia?

MIA
I want to die with you, Max, but I
do not want to see you like this
ever again. Yes.

Larry reaches in his backpack. Above, the sky is blue.

EXT. HOUSE - AFTERNOON

ONE YEAR LATER

A car pulls up. Max steps out of the driver's seat, Mia out
of the passengers. Mia is now pregnant. Max walks over to
Mia and looks at a house, he grabs her hand and leads her to
the door.

I think that the screenplay is too short. Overall, you did a really nice job getting to your character's abilities. Maybe extend it sometime.

Wow! The fighting, the story, the entire thing was great. My only problem was that it ended too fast, and I mean WAY too fast, in about 8 pages... Maybe edit that when you have time... Otherwise, good job.
