A man is randomly selected among others. To search a remote and abandoned research facility. For a vile containing an important serum.

FADE IN:

INT. LABORATORY - DAY

Inside a state of the art laboratory, we see a handful of
LAB TECHS.

Both MEN and WOMEN dressed in WHITE LAB COATS.

With safety GOGGLES and LATEX GLOVES.

We see the lab techs working with different COLORED LIQUIDS.

U.C.- A WHITE BOARD with different formula equations.

U.C.- COMPUTER SCREENS with different number sequences.

U.C.- Different colored liquids running through machines.

We see the lab techs working DILIGENTLY.

The camera flips back and forth SIMULTANEOUSLY between the
lab and the rest of the facility.

Revealing the different the personnel within the facility.

INT. FRONT ENTRANCE - MOMENTS LATER

We see TWO SECURITY OFFICERS.

Both are dressed in standard security uniform.

Each guard is wielding an AR-15 MACHINE GUN.

Each guard also has a .45 GLOCK handgun attached to their
hip in a holster.

The security officers are STANDING guard at the front
entrance inside the facility.

INT. OFFICE - MOMENTS LATER

Inside an office we see MEN dressed in SUIT and TIES.

Along with WOMEN in SKIRTS and BLOUSES.

We see some of them inside a CUBICLE working on computers.

Others are talking on phones.

Some are WALKING around CHATTING to each other.

One MAN stops by a WOMAN'S cubicle and drops off a stack
off papers on her desk.

            MAN
      (Placing papers on
       desk)
Just another day at the office.

WOMAN
Sure is. Thankfully it's Friday.

MAN
I actually can't wait to get out
of here and have me some end of
the week drinks.

WOMAN
That makes two of us. It's been a
long week.

A second MAN WALKS up to the man and woman.

MAN 2
(TO MAN)
I'll have those papers on your
desk by the end of the day.

MAN
(TO MAN 2)
Alright. Sounds good.

MAN 2 WALKS away.

MAN
(TO WOMAN)
You enjoy the rest of your day and
if I don't see you, have a good
weekend.

WOMAN
Thanks. I will.

The man WALKS away.

INT. LABORATORY - MOMENTS LATER

Meanwhile, back at the LABORATORY, we watch as the lab
techs are still working diligently.

All seems to be going well.

When all of a sudden there is a MALFUNCTION with one of the machines causing the different liquids to SPILL and MIX within each other. One of the lab techs REACTS to the malfunction and in doing so KNOCKS over a WHOLE TRAY of liquids onto the floor causing more contamination. Another lab tech notices the accident and SCRAMBLES over to the wall and hits a RED BUTTON, sounding an alarm throughout the facility. All PANIC breaks out within the laboratory.


INT. OFFICE - MOMENTS LATER

Back at the OFFICE we watch as the employees REACT to the SOUND of the alarm. Each one STOPS what their doing and PAUSES in FEAR. They know the alarm means trouble. U.C.- MAN dropping a coffee mug. We watch in SILENCE as it SLOWLY hits the ground and SHATTERS into pieces. Soon after the silence ends. All the employees begin to SCRAMBLE to the nearest exit. PUSHING and SHOVING each other in the process.


INT. LABORATORY - CONTINUOUS

Back at the LABORATORY. We see lab techs racing to the exit door. To try and beat the lock down. We watch as one MALE lab tech tries to FRANTICALLY open the door. The door doesn't open. It has already locked itself. U.C.- Vapors rising up from the mixed liquids on the floor filling the laboratory. U.C.- Lab techs EYES becoming BLOOD SHOT under goggles.

We watch as the lab techs begin to suffer from the affects
of the contaminated vapors.

Each one GASPING and COUGHING.

They then begin to FALL to the floor one by one.

U.C.- Vapors rising up to the ventilation system and seeping
through.

U.C.- Vapors traveling through inside of the vents and out
through the vents into the office.

INT. OFFICE - CONTINUOUS

We watch as the vapors begin to seep out the vent and into
the office.

The employees are still scrambling to the exit but find out
that they to are locked inside.

They begin to experience the same fate as the lab techs.

COUGHING AND GASPING for air.

As they begin to FALL to the ground.

One WOMAN is on her knees at her desk.

She is HOLDING her arm across her mouth and nose.

She attempts to reach for the phone but as she reaches for
it, she FALLS over to the ground knocking the phone off the
ringer.

U.C.- Phone dangling back and forth in the air, with dial
tone ringing.

We watch as the screen goes BLACK and the word SERUM is
SUPERIMPOSED across the screen.

FADE IN

EXT. COUNTRYSIDE HOUSE - NIGHT

We see a pair of headlights in the distance driving up a
long narrow dirt road.

The headlights are that of an OLDER MODEL CHEVY pickup
truck.

We watch as the truck pulls up in front of an OLDER COUNTRY STYLE house. The truck comes to a STOP. Stepping out from the truck is a MAN by the name of MAX SHUMWAY. Max is an ALPHA MALE type guy in his early 30's with a MEDIUM build and some FACIAL SCRUFF. Max WALKS up the stairs to the front door. When Max steps on the first step. It BREAKS apart. Max STUMBLES as he reaches for the railing. Max regains his balance. Max now looking down at the broken step. Max SHAKES his head in DISGUST. Max WALKS up to the front door. Max begins to FUMBLE through his keys. Max happens to notice from the porch light a pile of mail in front of the door. Max BENDS DOWN and picks it up. Max continues to fumble through his many keys. He finally finds the key to the front door and UNLOCKS it. Max WALKS into the house.


INT. LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Max WALKS through the living room. As we watch Max WALK by. We see MULTIPLE FAMILY PICTURES of Max and his parents. We watch as Max WALKS past an end table into the kitchen. U.C.- Picture of Max's MOTHER with a CROSS hanging from it. INT. KITCHEN - CONTINUOUS

Max TOSSES the mail onto the table.

We watch as it SCATTERS across the table.

U.C.- Medical bills and late mortgage payments.

Max OPENS the fridge and reaches in and pulls out a cold
BEER.

Max opens the beer and takes a SIP.

Max then reaches into his pocket and pulls out his CELL
PHONE and places it on the table.

Max SITS down at the table and STARES at the pile of bills
that are scattered across the table.

With a SADDENED look on his face.

Max takes another SIP of his beer and begins to get lost
within his thoughts.

No sooner does Max's cell phone start to VIBRATE.

Max picks it up and notices that it's an unknown number.

U.C.- Cell phone reading UNKNOWN NUMBER.

Max answers it.

            MAX
      (Cell phone to his
       ear)
This is Max.

A MAN on the other end begins to speak.

            MAN (V.O.)
      (STERN VOICE)
You don't know me but I have
instructions for you to follow. So
I would listen very carefully.
Tomorrow just before dusk a
helicopter will be arriving at
your place. You will then be
escorted onto the helicopter by
two men. Which will then bring you
to an unknown location. It is
there that you will be giving
further instructions. I would
advise that you do what I just
told you or there will be harsh
consequences to follow if you
don't. I would also advise in not
            (MORE)

MAN (cont'd)
telling anyone of this phone call.

Before Max can say anything the Man hangs up.

Max takes the phone away from his ear and LOOKS at it with a
CONFUSED look.

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

We watch as Max enters a bedroom.

Fixed with nothing more but a BED, NIGHT STAND, and DRESSER.

Max SITS down on the bed and places his cell phone on the
night stand.

Max takes his shoes off and TOSSES them to the floor.

Max then takes his shirt off and PLACES it at the end of the
bed.

Max LAYS down on the bed with his hands behind his head.

STARING up at the ceiling.

We watch the ceiling from Max's POINT OF VIEW.

A ceiling fan SLOWLY circles around.

Moments later we watch as the screen FADES to BLACK.

With the screen still BLACK.

We hear a faint voice in the background calling out Max's
name.

INT. BEDROOM - MORNING

FADE IN.

We still hear a FAINT sound in the background calling out
Max's name.

The screen SLOWLY comes into focus.

We watch from Max's point of view.

As Max SLOWLY OPENS his eyes.

We see the ceiling fan still circling around.

We can see the morning SUNLIGHT shining through the bedroom
window.

The voice still calls out Max's name.

It now slowly becomes more clearer.

Max LAYING in bed.

SITS up.

Max RUBS his eyes and swings his feet to the side off the
bed.

Max grabs his cell phone from the night stand and takes a
look at the time.

U.C.- CELL PHONE reading 8:00 am.

Max realizing the time.

SHAKES his head.

Max gets out of bed.

Max then WALKS over to the dresser and pulls out a fresh
SHIRT from the dresser and puts it on.

The voice still calling out Max's name.

Max finally HOLLERS back in return.

MAX
(HOLLERS OUT)
Hang on. I'm coming!

Max QUICKLY puts his shoes on.

We watch as Max WALKS out of the bedroom to greet the man
calling out his name.

INT. KITCHEN - MOMENTS LATER

Max walks into the kitchen to find the person calling out
his name.

The MAN is Max's FRIEND.

The friend is SITTING at the table.

The man is in his LATE TWENTIES with an ATHLETIC build.

The man is wearing a FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH t-shirt.

With a BACKWARDS BASEBALL HAT.

The man is also DRINKING a BEER.

FRIEND
(SARCASTICALLY)
There he is. My ray of sunshine.

MAX
Jesus man. What the hell are you
doing here at this time of the
day?

            FRIEND
      (HANDS
       OUTSTRETCHED)
I'm here to see my good friend.

The friend takes a SIP from his beer.

Max STARES at his friend as he's taking a sip.

MAX
Don't you think it's a little
early for that?

FRIEND
(SARCASTICALLY)
It's five o' clock somewhere.

Max WALKS over to a coffee pot.

            MAX
      (POURING THE
       COFFEE)
So really. What brings your ass
over here.

FRIEND
In all seriousness. I came to see
how you were holding up.

Max GRABS his coffee cup and SITS down at the table across
from the friend.

MAX
Well lets see...(PAUSES and takes
in a DEEP BREATH)... Aside from my
mom recently passing away from
cancer and leaving me this old
piece of shit house. Along with a
(MORE)

MAX (cont'd)
stack of past due mortgage
payments. (POINTS TO THE BILLS ON
THE TABLE) and a bunch of medical
bills to go with it and not to
mention the fact that I don't have
the slightest of ideas on how I'm
going to pay any of them. Since
I'm now currently unemployed. I'd
say I'm fucking peachy.

The friend runs his hand through some of the bills.

FRIEND
Well I can relate to the part of
not knowing how you're going to
pay the bills. Since I'm in that
same boat with you. Giving that
our job was sold to some bullshit
fucking company overseas.

FRIEND (CONT.)
I take it your dad is still M.I.A.

Max is STARING at the bills on the table..

MAX
Sure is. I haven't seen or heard
from my piece of shit father since
my mother was diagnosed with
cancer.

FRIEND
I never really was a big fan of
your father. Even when we were
kids. I think it's fucked how he
just up and abandoned your mom the
way he did.

MAX
Well than that makes two of us but
what are you going to do. I'm sure
if there was a six figure check in
there and/or a business deal. He
could be found.

FRIEND
Is there anything I could do to
help out?

MAX
Not at the moment. I still have so
much to figure out. I don't even
know where to begin.

The friend picks up his beer and TILTS it towards Max.

FRIEND
How about this. What do you say
later on we hit up our local
watering hole and have ourselves
some beers.

MAX
You mean the strip club.

FRIEND
Of course. Where else do we go to
have fun in this shit town.

Max PAUSES for a moment.

MAX
Thanks man but I'll have to pass
this time.

The friend is DRINKING his beer.

After hearing Max say no to the strip club.

The friend almost spits his beer out.

The friend puts the BEER DOWN and WIPES his mouth with his
hand.

FRIEND
(STUNNED LOOK)
Shit. Did I just hear you right.

MAX
Yeah man. I just have so much
going on right now. That I have to
try and sort through.

FRIEND
(STILL IN SHOCK)
Wow alright. Thought maybe you
could use the distraction. I
suppose I'll just let you be than.

MAX
I appreciate the gesture though.

FRIEND
(SHAKING HEAD)
Still can't believe you just said
no to beer and boobs.

The friend gets up from the table and WALKS over to the
fridge.

The friend reaches in and pulls out another BEER.

MAX
Really.

FRIEND
What...one more for the road.

MAX
(SHAKING HEAD)
Get out of here.

FRIEND
(SYMPATHETIC LOOK)
In all seriousness though. I'm
sorry for your loss. I know how
close you were to your mom. She
really was an amazing person.

MAX
Thanks buddy. That means a lot.

The friend begins to WALK away.

When he STOPS and turns around.

FRIEND
Oh yeah. Before I forget. If you
need a hand with those stairs.
Just holler at me. I know how
shitty your carpentry skills are.

            MAX
      (WITH A SLIGHT
       SMILE)
Will do.

The friend WALKS away and leaves.

We hear the door shut in the background.

We see Max SITTING at the table.

With a BLANK LOOK upon his face.

We watch as the scene SLOWLY FADES OUT.

FADE IN.

U.C.- AXE splitting a LOG in half.

EXT. BACKYARD - EVENING

We see Max outside with his shirt off.

Max is splitting wood with an AXE.

Max GRABS a couple more pieces of wood and splits them in
half.

After the SECOND piece of wood is split.

Max takes the axe and drives it into a TREE STUMP.

Max takes his arm and wipes it across his head. Wiping away
the sweat.

Max reaches for a water bottle.

When he hears a RUMBLING sound off in the distance.

Max takes a SIP of water and puts it down.

Max then reaches for his shirt and puts it on.

Max looks up at the sky.

We watch as a BLACK HELICOPTER flies from the distance
towards Max's direction.

Max takes a glance at his watch.

The helicopter reaches Max and begins to descend down to the
ground.

Max is shielding his face from the wind caused by the
rotating blades.

The helicopter touches ground and the door opens up.

Out from the helicopter step TWO MEN dressed in all BLACK
attire.

Both men are armed with HAND GUNS that are in a holster
attached to the side of their chest.

The two men approach Max.

One man walks behind Max and pulls out a blindfold from his
back pocket.

The man proceeds to put the blindfold on Max.

Max begins to RESIST.

The second man reaches for his gun and pulls it out of the
holster and points it directly at Max.

MAN 2
(POINTING GUN)
I'd advise you not to do that.

Max complies and let's the man blindfold him.

The two men escort Max over to the helicopter.

The first man gets in and then Max is escorted on next.

The second man gets in last and slides the door closed.

We watch as the helicopter begins to take off and fly away
into the EVENING SUNSET.

FADE OUT.

EXT. SHIPPING DOCK - NIGHT

We watch as the helicopter carrying Max lands on a REMOTE
and DESERTED shipping dock.

The door of the helicopter slides open and Max is FORCEFULLY
shoved out to the ground.

Blindfold still on.

The helicopter door slams shut and proceeds to take off.

Max gathers himself and gets to his feet.

Max takes the blindfold off.

Max takes a look around and sees FOUR people standing
together.

THREE GUYS and ONE GIRL.

All of which are STARING at Max.

Max HESITANTLY WALKS over to the people.

As Max walks over to the people he is greeted by a MAN named
ART.

Art is a late 20's man.

With a SLENDER BUILD.

Art is laid back.

With a sense of humor. Which is evident by his inappropriate
but very funny t-shirt.

ART
Looks like you got the same
treatment as the rest of us.

MAX
Then I guess I don't have to feel
left out.

Art EXTENDS his HAND out to Max.

ART
(HAND EXTENDED)
I'm Art.

Max still collecting himself.

SHAKES Art's hand.

            MAX
      (SHAKING ART'S
       HAND)
Max.

ART
Wow. That's a firm handshake you
got there.

Max and Art STOP SHAKING HANDS.

Art pulls his hand back and STRETCHES it out from the firm
handshake.

Moments later we see a BLACK STRETCH LIMO pull up behind Max
and Art in the background.

Max and Art turn around.

Everyone else focuses their attention on the limo as well.

            ART
      (TO MAX WITH
       SARCASM)
Looks like someone is getting the
VIP treatment.

The camera focuses on the limo door. As it SLOWLY opens.

We see a pair of BLACK COMBAT BOOTS step outside the limo.

The camera SLOWLY raises up to reveal a MAN wearing BLACK
CARGO pants.

With a BLACK t-shirt.

The man is DANE, an ex Black Ops specialist turned rogue.

Dane is a BUILT man who stands very INTIMIDATING.

Art LEANS over to Max.

ART
(TO MAX)
That's one bad ass looking dude.

MAX
(TO ART)
Sure is.

Dane begins to WALK over to the crowd of people.

DANE
Now I bet you're all wondering
what it is that you're doing here.

Everyone begins to SHAKE their heads.

Dane begins to tell everyone why they were brought here and
what it is that they will be doing.

            DANE
      (STERN VOICE)
Allow me to be the one to tell
you. In short, you were all
brought here to play a game. The
game is simple. You will all be
escorted by boat shortly to a
remote facility on an island. The
facility is abandoned. Within this
facility is a vile that contains a
liquid. The first person lucky
enough to find this vile will then
go to the top floor of the
facility. Where you will find a
            (MORE)

DANE (cont'd)
flare gun. Use the flare gun to
signal that you have found the
vile. Once the flare gun goes off
the game will than be over.

A MAN among the individuals, who is in his EARLY 20's.

With a NERDY look.

Sporting THICK BLACK frame glasses and a BUTTONED down
shirt.

The nerdy guy RAISES his hand in the air.

DANE
(TO NERDY GUY)
What is it.

NERDY GUY
Is there a reward of some kind for
finding the vile?

DANE
Thought you'd never ask...(PAUSES)
The prize for finding the vile
will be in the form of a million
dollars.

Everyone REACTS in EXCITEMENT to the reward.

Max SPEAKS OUT.

MAX
How do we know what the vile looks
like?

DANE
You'll know.

A big MUSCLE GUY in his LATE 20's named DEREK.

With a HIGH SCHOOL JOCK look chimes in.

DEREK
What if no one finds the vile?

DANE
Well then that means no one wins
and you will all be deemed losers.

ART
(UNDER HIS BREATH)
I'm not a loser.

Moments later a SPEEDBOAT pulls up along side the dock in
the background.

DANE
(TO EVERYONE)
Looks like your chariot has
arrived.

Everyone begins to WALK over to the boat.

As they are walking Dane STOPS them all to tell them one
last thing.

DANE
Oh and one last thing. You have
until daybreak to find the vile.
Good luck.(SADISTIC GRIN)

The individuals proceed to the boat.

Dane WALKS back to the limo and gets inside.

Everyone forms a line to get onto the boat.

Art is STANDING in back of a GIRL, followed by Max.

The GIRL is AVERY, an ATTRACTIVE BRUNETTE, LATE 20's.

With a SLEEK and SLENDER body.

Art begins to interact with Avery.

ART
Hi there. How did you get so lucky
to be here?

AVERY
(SARCASM)
Must of been my good looks.

Art SMILES but before he can say anything he is PUSHED aside
to the ground by Derek.

            DEREK
      (PUTS ARM AROUND
       GIRL)
You need to back off. This is my
property.

Derek gives Art a quick STARE DOWN before he and Avery get
on the boat.

Max EXTENDS his HAND OUT to Art and helps him to his feet.

ART
(TO MAX)
What a douche bag.

MAX
There's one in every crowd.

Art and Max are the last two on the boat.

They SIT DOWN next to each other.

The boat begins to take off.

We watch as the boat takes off QUICKLY into the distance on
the open water.

Under the MOONLIGHT.

INT. BACK SEAT OF LIMO - NIGHT

Dane is SITTING in the back seat of the limo with a MAN and
WOMAN.

The MAN is EDWARD ORDWELL.

Edward is a MIDDLE-AGED man dressed in a FINE SUIT and TIE.

Edward is a VERY ARROGANT man.

The WOMAN, who is sitting across from Edward is an
ATTRACTIVE BLONDE in her EARLY 30's.

The woman is wearing a SHORT SKIRT, showing off her LONG and
SLENDER legs.

She is also wearing a BLOUSE unbuttoned down revealing a
nice view of CLEAVAGE.

The woman is also sporting SEXY glasses.

The woman is Edward's assistant and she is fixing Edward a
glass of SCOTCH.

EDWARD
(TO DANE)
Is everything in place.

The assistant hands Edward the glass of scotch. Reaching
over to Edward in the process.

Revealing her CLEAVAGE.

U.C.- Assistant's cleavage.

Edward takes a moment to stare at the cleavage.

As does Dane.

Edward then GRABS the glass and takes a SIP of the scotch.

DANE
Everything is all set sir. The
participants have been instructed
on what to do and there heading to
the facility right now as we
speak.

            EDWARD
      (HOLDING SCOTCH IN
       HAND)
As for everything else?

DANE
My men are already at the facility
waiting. I've instructed them on
what to do. Also, the facility is
rigged throughout with explosives.
As ordered by you.

Dane REACHES into his pant pocket and pulls out a SMALL pen
like object with a button on the top of it.

Dane HANDS the object to Edward.

Edward takes it from Dane.

Edward takes a look at the object.

EDWARD
I gather this is the detonator.

DANE
Yes sir it is. All you have to do
is push that button there on top
and the timer will be detonated.

Edward is ADMIRING the detonator.

With a GRIN on his face.

EDWARD
(DETONATOR IN HAND)
Good and how about your men.

DANE
What about them.

EDWARD
Are they any good.

DANE
Yes sir. The best.

EDWARD
Cause you know I can't afford to
have any of this leak out to the
public. Nor can I have any loose
ends that can be traced back to
me.

DANE
Rest easy sir. Everything is under
control.

Edward RAISES his glass in the air.

EDWARD
That's what I like to hear.

EDWARD
(TO ASSISTANT)
Fix this man a drink.

The assistant begins to fix a drink for Dane.

EDWARD
In a matter of hours we are going
to be two very wealthy men.

The assistant HANDS Dane his drink.

Dane GRABS the drink from the assistant.

Dane and Edward HOLD their glasses side by side.

DANE
That sir is something I can toast
to.

The two click their glasses together.

U.C- The two glasses banging together.

FADE OUT.

EXT. SHORELINE - NIGHT

FADE IN to the speedboats TWIN motors running.

U.C.- Speedboat motors propelling water.

We see the speedboat driving on the open water.

We watch as it pulls up alongside the shoreline.

ART
(TO MAX)
Looks like where here.

Everyone begins to get off the boat and onto the shore.

Max and Art are the last two to get off.

We watch as the speedboat races off QUICKLY into the
distance.

Everyone is now STANDING on the shore.

Each one weary of taking the walk up to the facility.

Out of no where Derek GRABS Avery's arm and takes off up to
the wooded path that leads to facility.

DEREK
(TO AVERY)
Let's go.

Avery RELUCTANTLY heads up the shore to the path with Derek.

Soon after the nerdy guy begins to follow.

Art begins to WALK up to the path.

Max HESITATES.

Art STOPS before the path and TURNS AROUND and notices Max
still standing there.

ART
(TO MAX)
What are you waiting for?

MAX
I don't know. Something about this
just doesn't feel right.

ART
What about winning a million
dollars doesn't feel right.

MAX
Someone gathers a bunch of random
people to search for a vile on
some remote facility. Only to just
hand out a million dollars to
whoever finds it.

ART
Yeah that's about right. (PAUSES)
Okay listen I don't know you, but
I could very much use the million
dollars. So I'm going to go and
try to find that vile. So you're
more than welcome to tag along.
It'll double are chances of
finding the vile and I'm not a
greedy man. I don't mind splitting
the money with you. So this is me
leaving now to try and win a
million (POINTS BOTH THUMBS in the
direction of the facility).

After a SLIGHT HESITATION Max RELUCTANTLY follows Art.

Max and Art walk up the shore to the NARROW path.

EXT. WOODED PATH - CONTINUOUS

Max and Art are WALKING on the path up to the facility.

ART
So I never did get your full name
back at the dock.

MAX
It's Max. Max Shumway

ART
Well Max Shumway. I'm Art Conners.

MAX
(SARCASM)
Well I'm glad we finally got that
out of the way.

ART
Ah a funny guy. I like that.

ART (CONT.)
But seriously though I just want
to let you know that what I said
back there is true. I do need the
money but I'm not a greedy man.
I'm more than willing to split it
with you.

MAX
Is that your subtle way of saying
we should team up together.

ART
(HAND GESTURES)
Yes. Indeed I am. In fact I think
we could make a very good team.

MAX
And what makes you think that.

ART
Cause together we are the total
package.

MAX
(LOOKING AT ART)
How's that.

ART
Well what I mean is that I could
be the brains of the team and you
could be...

The cafeteria is equipped with VENDING MACHINES, MICROWAVES,

There is also TWO TABLES in the CENTER of the cafeteria.

Some of the microwaves are OPEN.

There is food left out everywhere on the counters and
tables.

The food is old and WREAKS of a horrible stench.

It also has FLIES hovering over it.

We watch as TWO MEN JUMP through the mirror from the other

One of the men JUMPS onto Max. Taking him to the ground.

The other one LEAPS onto a table.

Then LUNGES towards Art.

We watch as Art DROPS the candy bar in SHOCK.

The guard puts his hands around Art's neck PINNING him
against the vending machine.

The two men are the SECURITY GUARDS.

They have been INFECTED by the vapors.

They both are GREENISH-YELLOW looking.

With VEINS showing throughout their body and face.

Their eyes are GREENISH-YELLOW and BLOODSHOT.

Their pupils are DILATED.

A GREEN OOZE like substance is FOAMING from their mouths.

SUSPENSE MUSIC PLAYS in background.

We see Max on the floor STRUGGLING with the guard.

The guard is on top of Max.

Max's hands are on the guards throat preventing the guard
from biting him.

GREEN OOZE is DRIPPING down from the guard's mouth.

Max continues to struggle with the guard.

Max notices the handgun in the holster on the guard's hip.

Max takes one of is hands and REACHES for the gun.

Max pulls the gun out and FIRES THREE shots into the guard's
chest.

We watch as the three shots EXIT through the security
guard's back.

BLOOD SPILLS out everywhere.

The guard FALLS over to the ground.

Max QUICKLY gets to his feet and JUMPS on the table.

Max JUMPS off the table and reaches Art.

Art is STRUGGLING with the guard.

Preventing the guard from biting him.

Max POINTS the gun at the back of the security guard's head.

The woman then LOOKS up at the two men and lets out a

STANDING outside the office we see the two remaining men
from Dane's squad.

They are over hearing everything being said inside the
office.

One of the men signals to the other man behind him with a
HAND GESTURE to head out.

The two men begin to BACK UP SLOWLY so they won't be heard.

INT. HALLWAY - NIGHT

Dane is WALKING in a hallway.

Dane's walkie sounds.

Dane STOPS in the hallway and lifts his walkie from his side
hip and begins to talk into it.

DANE
(INTO WALKIE)
What's the status?

MAN (V.O.)
We overheard a few people talking.
Looks as though they might have
figured out where the vile may be
located.

DANE
(INTO WALKIE)
Good. Make sure you tail them and
once the vile is secure do not let
it out of your sight. We'll be
making our way to the island
shortly.

MAN (V.O.)
Copy that.

Dane secures the walkie back onto his hip.

Dane proceeds to WALK over to a HUGE GLASS PANED door.

Which leads to a balcony.

EXT. MANSION BALCONY - CONTINUOUS

Dane WALKS outside onto the balcony.

Edward is LAYING on a LAWN CHAIR with a drink in his hand.

Edward sees Dane walk onto the balcony.

EDWARD
(SIPPING DRINK)
Ah yes. Isn't it a great night
out.

DANE
Yes sir. It is.

Edward puts his drink down on an end table.

Edward reaches for a CIGAR and CIGAR CUTTER from the end
table.

EDWARD
(CUTTING CIGAR END)
I trust you have some more good

DANE
Yes sir. It looks like my men will
soon be lead to the vile.

Edward puts the cigar in his mouth and LIGHTS it with a
LIGHTER.

EDWARD
(PUFFING CIGAR)
Well then. That definitely is good

DANE

that vile before you know it sir.

Edward continues to puff on his cigar.

EDWARD
(BLOWS SMOKE OUT)
And you know what that means.

Edward lets out a little CHUCKLE.

If you don't mind sir. I think we
should be heading to the island
now.

EDWARD
Dane, I don't mind at all. In fact

I can hold that vile firmly in my

Edward takes one last PUFF of his cigar.

INT. STAIRWELL - NIGHT

FADE IN.

Max, Art, and Avery are WALKING up a flight of stairs.

Max is walking first, followed by Avery and Art.

Max turns the corner to walk up another flight of stairs.

Avery and Art continue to follow behind.

Well, unfortunately for me there

Max puts his hand on the door handle and PULLS it open.

Right as Max PULLS the door OPEN.

An infected MALE lab worker, wearing a WHITE lab coat.

With GLOVES and GOGGLES.

BURSTS through catching Max, Avery, and Art off guard.

Avery lets out a SCREAM.

The infected worker takes hold of Max and PINS him to the
railing.

The infected lab worker tries to BITE Max as he is LEANING
dangerously over the railing.

Avery is FROZEN in fear.

Art MANEUVERS around Avery and HURRIES to the top of the
stairs.

Art PULLS out his gun from his waist and points it at the
infected lab workers head.

ART
(POINTING GUN)
Hey asshole!

The infected lab worker turns his head towards Art and lets
out a GHASTLY SCREECH.

With a green like substance OOZING from its mouth.

Art PULLS the trigger and FIRES a SHOT straight through the
head.

Max LEANS forward from the railing letting the infected lab
worker FALL over the railing.

Max is looking over the railing down at the worker.

MAX
(TO ART)
You looked like a natural with
that gun.

ART
(SARCASM)
Why thank you. I had a crash
course in shooting.

ART (CONT.)
By the way. I don't get a thanks
for saving your life.

Max STARES at Art.

ART
No problem.

Max turns his attention over to Avery.

Who is still STRICKEN with fear.

Max puts his hand on Avery's shoulder.

(TO AVERY)

Those things. They're something
out of a nightmare.

MAX
Yeah, they're not to pleasant to
look at.

Art is now LOOKING over the railing.

ART
I think maybe we should continue
moving on. Before we get any more
surprises.

      (HAND ON AVERY'S

That's a good idea.

Art OPENS the door and WALKS through.

Max HOLDS the door for Avery to WALK through.

Max follows behind Avery.

INT. STAIRWELL - MOMENTS LATER

The two men from Dane's squad are STANDING at the bottom of
the stairwell.

The two men are looking down at the infected person that
fell from the top.

The infected person is laying in an AWKWARD position.

EXT. SHIPPING DOCK - NIGHT

We watch as a LIMO pulls up to the shipping docks.

The LIMO DRIVER steps outside the limo and WALKS over to the
back and OPENS the limo door.

Edward steps out from the limo.

Followed by his assistant.

Dane steps out from the other side.

Edward buttons up his jacket to his tailored made suit.

Edward then pulls out a cigar from his pocket and puts it in
his mouth.

His assistant holds a lighter up to the cigar and lights it
for Edward.

Edward takes a PUFF and EXHALES.

EDWARD
(ARROGANTLY)
It really is shaping up to be a
lovely night.

Meanwhile, Dane is STANDING on the other side of the limo
talking to a Delta team member.

DANE
(INTO WALKIE)
What do you mean you haven't heard
from them.

       WALKIE)
We can't get in touch with Bravo
team. We tried to contact them but
there wasn't any response. Also,
we have a problem.

There seems to be others here as
well. They look like they've been
infected.

DANE
(INTO WALKIE)
Infected.

MAN (V.O.)
Not really sure. They look like
they could've been infected by a
virus of some sort.

      (INTO WALKIE WITH

Listen up. Just continue on with
your job. I'll take care of the
rest when I get there. For I don't
need to remind you how much is
riding on this. So we can't afford

these so called zombie like people

Dane puts the walkie on his hip and WALKS around the limo
over to Edward.

After you sir.

Edward begins to WALK over to a LUXURY SPEEDBOAT that is
docked.

Edward's assistant follows closely to Edward.

Dane follows behind them.

EXT. SPEEDBOAT - CONTINUOUS

Edward WALKS up to the speedboat and boards it.

Edward's assistant follows after Edward.

Dane gets on last.

Edward SITS down.

EDWARD
(TO ASSISTANT)
Is there any fine liquor aboard
this luxurious boat of mine?

ASSISTANT
I'll check sir.

The assistant heads beneath to the cabin.

Dane SITS down next to Edward.

EDWARD
(TO DANE)
Now we'll know exactly when the
vile has been found. Right.

DANE
Yes sir. As stated earlier a flare
will be set off from the top
floor. Signaling that the vile has
been located. We'll then proceed
to the facility and retrieve the
vile from my men. Also, the
facility has been rigged to

explode. So once the vile is
secured in your possession. All
you have to do is hit the
detonator. Which will set the
timer off bringing the entire
building down. Leaving no trace of
any kind back to you.

Edward's assistant comes up from the cabin with a glass of
SCOTCH for Edward.

The assistant hands the glass to Edward.

Edward grabs it and takes a SIP.

The assistant SITS down across from Edward.

EDWARD
(WITH A SMILE)
It really is good to be me.

DANE
Indeed it is sir. All we have to
do now is sit back and wait for
the flare to go up.

Edward takes another SIP from his drink.

The camera moves up to show a FULL MOON lighting up the
night sky.

FADE OUT.

FADE IN.

Camera shows an outside view of the facility ILLUMINATED by
the moon.

INT. LABORATORY - NIGHT

Camera shows a wide view of the laboratory.

The laboratory is a MESS.

We watch as Max, Avery, and Art WALK through the double
doors into the laboratory.

Is it me or does it seem like
every room so far has been
trashed.

ART
Right.

The vile should be somewhere in

ART
If we're lucky enough.

Max, Art, and Avery SPREAD OUT in the lab and begin looking
for the vile.

Art WALKS over to the WHITE BOARD and STARES at the
equations written on it.

Art WAVES his hand in the air, as to try an solve some of
the equations.

      (SEARCHING THROUGH
       COUNTER DRAWS)

task at hand.

work station. Doesn't look like
there's any equations over there.

Art WALKS over to a the work station and begins SEARCHING
through that area.

INT. STAIRWELL - NIGHT

We see the two men from Delta team STANDING in the stairwell
in front of a door.

MAN
They should have reached the
laboratory by now.

MAN 2
How do you want to approach the
situation.

MAN
Well make our way to the
laboratory and observe from the
side. Then we wait until one of
them has found the vile. Once that
has happened we'll breach the area
and take the vile with force.

MAN 2
(NODS HEAD)
Okay.

MAN
One last thing. Make sure nothing
happens to the vile. The serum has
to remain intact with the vile. I
repeat nothing can happen to that
vile or it's our asses.

How about those zombie looking

Watch out for them. If you see any

The man OPENS the door and WALKS through.

The second man follows.

INT. HALLWAY - CONTINUOUS

We watch as the two men from Delta team WALK through a
doorway.

The two men enter the hallway.

The laboratory is right at the end
of the hallway. Around the corner.

You think they found the vile yet.

MAN
My guess would be that they did.

We then hear a SOUND come from behind the door leading to
the stairwell.

The two men hear the sound and take notice.

MAN
Don't know.

MAN 2
You don't think it's more of those
things.

MAN
(COCKS HIS RIFLE)
That's exactly what I'm thinking.

MAN 2
Damn. I was hoping you wouldn't

The second man COCKS his gun.

Alright. You hold this position
and I'll head to the laboratory.
Whatever you do, don't let any of

The first man WALKS away.

The second man STANDS guard.

Moments later the man hears another SOUND.

The man decides to check it out.

The man SLOWLY PULLS OPEN the door and enters the
stairwell.

SUSPENSE MUSIC plays in background.

The man has his gun in a fixed shooting position.

The man LOOKS UP the stairs.

We don't see anything.

The man SLOWLY WALKS to the other flight of stairs and LOOKS
DOWN.

Again we don't see anything.

SUSPENSE MUSIC STOPS.

The man decides to head back into the hallway.

Just as he OPENS the door.

We hear another SOUND coming from below downstairs.

The man gets SPOOKED.

The man decides to head downstairs to investigate.

SUSPENSE MUSIC continues.

The man draws his rifle to a fixed position and heads
downstairs.

The man SLOWLY WALKS downstairs.

U.C.- Man's feet WALKING one step at a time.

The man reaches the end of the stairs.

The man SLOWLY turns to head down another flight of stairs.

We watch the man POINT his gun down the stairs.

We see nothing.

The man SLOWLY and CAUTIOUSLY heads down another flight of
stairs.

The man reaches the bottom of the stairs.

The man again SLOWLY and CAUTIOUSLY points his gun at the
bottom of the stairs.

This time we are revealed MULTIPLE infected office workers.

Both MALE and FEMALE STANDING at the bottom of the stairs.

They are STANDING over the BLOODY corpse that fell down
earlier from the top of the stairwell.

The workers take notice of the man and begin to WALK up the
stairs towards him.

The man SHOOTS off multiple rounds at the workers.

We watch as some of the bullets hit the infected workers.

BLOOD SPILLS out everywhere.

SUSPENSE MUSIC CONTINUES.

The man EMPTIES a full magazine into the crowd of infected
workers.

We watch as the man RUNS FRANTICALLY back up the couple
flights stairs.

The man finally reaches the hallway door and PULLS it open
and HURRIES into the hallway.

The man QUICKLY SLAMS the door behind him and leans up
against it.

SUSPENSE MUSIC STOPS.

The man takes out the empty magazine and RELOADS his gun
with a fresh magazine.

The man catches his breath for a moment.

The man then takes off RUNNING towards the laboratory.

We watch as the man continues to RUN AWAY in the distance.

We then watch as an infected lab worker appears from out of
a room into the hallway and TACKLES the man against the
wall.

The lab worker then takes the man to the ground.

The lab worker BITES the man in the neck.

We watch as the man's flesh is RIPPED off.

Blood SQUIRTING out of the lab workers mouth.

The piece of flesh DANGLING from the lab workers mouth.

INT. LABORATORY - NIGHT

We see Max, Art, and Avery still SEARCHING the laboratory
for the vile.

Art is LOOKING through a MICROSCOPE.

ART
(LOOKING UP AT MAX)
I don't know Max. This isn't
looking to promising.

MAX
Just keep looking. That vile is
the key to everything.

AVERY
(TO MAX)
Do you think that the vile is even

MAX
(OPENING DRAWS)

Avery is SEARCHING through drawers next to Max.

      (SHUFFLING THROUGH

It has to. Why else would we have

doesn't exist.

ART
(TO MAX)

Max is SEARCHING through another drawer.

Max takes all the stuff out of the drawer and THROWS it out
everywhere.

Meanwhile, Avery WALKS around the counter and KNEELS down on
the floor.

(FRUSTRATED)

No luck.

MAX
(FRUSTRATED)
It just has to be in here.

ART
Don't worry buddy. We'll find it.

Max and Art continue to search for the vile.

Moments later Avery's voice is heard from the floor.

Looks like it's still in tact. I
found it in the freezer. It was
the only one in there. Sitting
inside a tray.

Max is lost in thought just STARING at the vile.

They are greeted by the man from Delta team.

Art puts his HANDS in the AIR.

MAX
(HOLDING VILE UP)
You mean this.

MAN

here to me and then maybe I let
you walk away.

I have a better idea. Why don't

I don't think it's wise to piss

Max puts his HANDS up in the AIR and SLOWLY steps back.

The man CAUTIOUSLY moves to the table towards the vile.

The man keeps his gun and eyes on Max, Art, and Avery.

As the man is moving towards the table.

Art QUICKLY takes his HANDS DOWN and SWIPES at a bunch of
PAPERS on the table into the direction of the man.

The papers fly into the face of the man.

Max then RUSHES the man head on.

Max GRABS onto the gun.

Max and the man begin to GRAPPLE.

Art GRABS Avery and DUCKS out of the way.

Max and the man continue to GRAPPLE.

Both Max and the man have both hands on the gun.

Max PUSHES the man against a table.

VILES and EQUIPMENT get KNOCKED OVER to the ground.

The man COUNTERS and PINS Max onto the table using the gun
to do so.

Max STRUGGLES with the man.

Moments later we see a BIG GLASS vile SMASH over the man's
head.

The man FALLS to the ground UNCONSCIOUS.

We see Avery STANDING looking down at the man.

Max gets up from the table.

With the gun now in his hands.

Don't mention it.

MAX
(TO ART)
Quick thinking there on your part.

ART
Yeah. I even surprised myself.

Max GRABS the vile off the table and PUTS it in his POCKET.

We see MULTIPLE infected workers.

Both lab and office workers.

We watch as they WALK SLOWLY towards Max, Art, and Avery.

Alright take Avery and get to the
shore and wait for the boat. Now.
I'll hold them off.

AVERY
(TO MAX)
Be careful.

Max NODS his head.

Art GRABS Avery's hand.

Art and Avery RUN off.

Max COCKS the rifle and begins SHOOTING.

We watch as MULTIPLE rounds fire into the workers.

Hitting into the CHEST and HEAD area.

We watch as BLOOD SPILLS out everywhere.

The workers begin to DROP to the ground.

Max EMPTIES an entire magazine.

Max then TOSSES the gun to the side and reaches behind his

back and pulls out the hand gun. Max fires off an entire clip into the infected workers. Max now out of ammo. TOSSES the gun and begins to RUN. We watch as Max RUNS to the doorway leading to the stairwell. The infected workers follow. We watch as Max RUNS up the stairs to the top floor. Max runs up MULTIPLE flights of stairs. We watch as Max reaches the top floor. Max pulls OPEN the door and WALKS into a hallway. Max notices a door slightly OPEN. Max RUNS to it and enters an abandoned room.


INT. ABANDONED ROOM - CONTINUOUS

We are revealed a HUGE unused storage room. We see BOXES everywhere. Some are STACKED. Others are OPENED. Some are TOPPLED over. We see COBWEBS and DUST among everything in the room. Max looks around ANXIOUSLY and spots the flare gun on top of an empty desk. Max WALKS over to the desk and picks up the flare gun and checks to see if it is loaded. Max then WALKS over to a HUGE MULTI-PANE GLASS window. Max uses his elbow to knock out a portion of the glass. Max then sticks the flare gun out the window and fires off the flare.

We then see the flare going up into the NIGHT sky.

EXT. WOODED PATHWAY. - MOMENTS LATER

Art and Avery are now outside RUNNING along the path.

Art and Avery hear the flare gun go off and STOP to look.

We see the flare descending downward in the night sky.

ART
(TO AVERY)
Come on. We have to keep moving.

Art and Avery continue to RUN down the path.

EXT. SPEEDBOAT - NIGHT

We see Edward and his assistant along with Dane SITTING on
the speedboat.

Edward is PUFFING on his cigar.

All three look up to the sky at the flare.

EDWARD
(CIGAR IN HAND)
Ah yes. What a beautiful sight
that is.

DANE
It's what we've been waiting for
sir.

Dane gets UP and goes to the front of the boat and STARTS it
up.

EDWARD
(GRINNING)
Time to get richer.

We watch as the speedboat drives off in the distance.

INT. LABORATORY - NIGHT

We see the man from Delta team LAYING on the ground
unconscious.

U.C.- The man's face.

79.

We watch as the man SLOWLY AWAKES from being knocked out.

Still GROGGY the man runs his hand over his eyes and head.

We watch as the man SHAKES his head.

The man's eyes QUICKLY OPEN WIDE.

We are revealed a group of infected lab and office workers
STANDING directly over the man.

MAN
Oh fuck.

The infected workers let out a GHASTLY screech.

We watch as the infected workers descend upon the man and
begin to feast upon him.

We hear SOUNDS of flesh being ripped.

The camera turns away to focus on a tray of empty viles.

U.C.- Tray of empty viles.

We continue to hear the SOUNDS of FLESH being RIPPED apart.

INT. ABANDONED ROOM - NIGHT

We see Max WAITING in front of the MULTI-PANED GLASS window.

Max is STARING at the vile.

Max then places the vile inside his pocket.

As Max is putting the vile in his pocket.

He happens to SPOT something across the room.

Max SLOWLY WALKS over.

Unsure of what to make of it.

Max gets closer and realizes what it is.

It's a BOMB rigged with a timer.

U.C.- Explosive device

            MAX
      (SOFTLY UNDER HIS
       BREATH)
Son of a bitch.

EXT. WOODED AREA - NIGHT

We see Art and Avery approach the end of the pathway.

Art happens to spot the lights of the speedboat coming up.

ART
(TO AVERY)
Come on. Over here.

Art and Avery head into the brush and KNEEL down.

We watch as the speedboat pulls up to the edge of the shore.

Art and Avery watch from the brush.

Dane SHUTS the speedboat off.

Dane then GRABS an AUTOMATIC ASSAULT RIFLE from underneath
the steering wheel.

Dane WALKS over to Edward.

DANE
(TO EDWARD)
Ready sir.

EDWARD
Let's get this done.

Dane and Edward get off the boat and begin to head up the
shore to the pathway

Edward's assistant stays behind on the speedboat.

Edward and Dane WALK past Art and Avery.

Hidden in the brush.

Art and Avery WAIT until Dane and Edward are OUT of SIGHT.

Art and Avery then emerge from out of the brush and JOG over
to the speedboat.

As Art and Avery approach the speedboat, Edward's assistant
SEES them and gets UP from her SEAT.

81.

ASSISTANT
(TO ART AND AVERY)
Hold on. This is a private boat.

AVERY
(Stern voice)
Listen here bitch. You have two
choices. You can either walk or
swim.

After some HESITATION the assistant decides to get off the
boat and start WALKING.

ART
Wow. I have to admit. I didn't see
that coming.

AVERY
After what we've been through in
there. I'm not going to let
anything or anyone (EMPHASIS ON
ANYONE) stop me from getting off
this godforsaken island.

ART
Amen to that. So what are we going
to do now?

AVERY
We wait for Max. I'm not leaving
here without him.

ART
(SARCASM)
Oh boy. Sounds like someone has
developed some feelings.

AVERY
Shut up.

ART
Okay but for what it's worth I
think you two would make an
awesome couple. Better than your
last boyfriend.

AVERY
Well for what it's worth. If we
can get out of this alive. Than
maybe I can look for a possible
relationhip.

ART
Well then for our sake. I hope we
do make it out of this alive.

EXT. FRONT OF FACILITY - NIGHT

We see a WIDE view of the front side of the facility.

The MOONLIGHT shining down upon the facility.

Dane and Edward are WALKING up the path to the front
entrance.

Dane and Edward reach the front entrance.

Dane OPENS the door for Edward.

Edward WALKS in.

Dane takes a QUICK GLANCE around outside before entering the
facility.

INT. FACILITY ENTRANCE - CONTINUOUS

            EDWARD
      (ARMS SPREAD WIDE
       OPEN)
Here's where all the magic
happened.

DANE
Shall we sir.

EDWARD
By all means. After you.

Dane takes the lead.

Edward follows behind.

The two begin to make their way to the top floor.

INT. ABANDONED ROOM - NIGHT

We see Max ANXIOUSLY PACING back and forth.

83.

INT. HALLWAY - NIGHT

Dane and Edward are WALKING in a hallway.

Edward STOPS in the hallway in front of his office.

EDWARD
(TO DANE)
Hold up.

DANE
(STOPS IN HALLWAY)
What is it sir.

EDWARD
Wait here. There's something I
need from my office. To help tie
up some loose ends.

Edward WALKS into his office.

Dane WAITS outside.

Standing guard.

Dane continues to stand guard when he hears a NOISE come
from down the hallway.

Dane draws his gun to a shooting position and ALERTLY takes
notice.

Dane looks down the hallway from where he is standing but
doesn't see anything.

We see down the dark hallway.

DANE
(TO EDWARD)
Sir you almost ready in there.

Dane hears another NOISE coming from the end of the hallway.

Dane again ALERTLY takes notice.

This time we see a figure SLOWLY emerge from the darkness.

The figure is an infected FEMALE office worker.

Shortly after we see MULTIPLE infected office workers emerge
from the darkness.

Both MALE and FEMALE.

84.

All of which are headed towards Dane.

Dane now sees the infected workers WALKING SLOWLY towards
his way.

DANE
(HOLLERS TO EDWARD)
Sir I don't mean to rush you but
we really need to get a move on.

Edward emerges from his office with a FOLDER in his hands.

            EDWARD
      (LOOKING THROUGH
       FOLDER)
What the hell seems to be the
rush.

DANE
Well sir. We have company.

Edward LOOKS UP towards the end of the hallway and notices
the infected workers heading towards them.

EDWARD
(DROPS THE FOLDER)
What the fuck.

DANE
(GUN DRAWN)
Sir you need to get to the top
floor now. I'll hold them off.

Edward doesn't hesitate.

We watch as Edward QUICKLY RUNS away.

Dane begins to SHOOT his gun at the infected workers.

Dane takes out a couple workers with SHOTS to the HEAD.

We watch as blood SPLATTERS out everywhere.

The infected workers DROP to the ground.

The infected workers continue to WALK over to Dane.

Dane continues to SHOOT his gun.

He takes a couple more out.

With shots to the CHEST and HEAD.

85.

We continue to see the infected workers DROP to the ground.

BLOOD SPILLING out every which way.

We also watch as more infected workers come out from the
darkness.

Dane EMPTIES his CLIP.

No more ammo is left.

The infected workers CLOSE IN on Dane.

Dane TOSSES his gun to the side.

The infected workers have now reached Dane.

Dane begins to FIGHT the infected workers.

Dane PUNCHES one of the MALE workers in the face.

Dane then ELBOWS another in the side of the head.

A FEMALE infected workers BITES Dane in the UPPER ARM.

Dane GRABS the worker and SLAMS her to the ground.

Dane then STOMPS on the workers face.

We hear the GROTESQUE SOUND of Dane's boot crushing the
worker's face in.

Another FEMALE worker JUMPS on Dane's back.

Dane manages to FLIP her over to the ground.

Dane is soon outnumbered.

One MALE worker BITES Dane in the NECK.

RIPPING out a piece of his FLESH.

Dane FALLS to his KNEES.

Dane is then overpowered by the workers.

They begin to feast on Dane's body.

We see and hear Dane's body being RIPPED apart by the many
infected workers.

BLOOD SPILLING out.

86.

We watch as INTESTINES are being eaten by the infected
workers.

INT. STAIRWAY - MOMENTS LATER

We see Edward RUNNING FRANTICALLY up a flight of stairs.

Edward STOPS and takes a moment to LOOK BACK and realizes
Dane is most likely dead now.

Edward FRANTICALLY reaches into his suit jacket and PULLS
OUT the detonator and CLICKS the button to arm the
explosives.

U.C.- Bomb timer in boiler room counting down from 15
minutes.

U.C.- Bomb timer in laboratory COUNTING DOWN.

U.C.- Bomb timer in Edward's office COUNTING DOWN.

U.C.- Bomb in abandoned room COUNTING DOWN.

Edward continues to RUN up the stairs.

INT. ABANDONED ROOM - NIGHT

We watch as Max is still PACING in the room.

Max hears the bomb timer go off.

Max WALKS over to the bomb and sees that it is counting
down.

U.C.- Timer 14 minutes and counting

Max decides it's time to leave the room.

Max HURRIES over to the door.

Just as Max approaches the door.

Edward BURSTS through FRANTICALLY.

Running into Max.

EDWARD
(OUT OF BREATHE)
Maxwell.

87.

MAX
Long time no see dad.

EDWARD
(CONFUSED LOOK)
What the hell are you doing here?

MAX
I could ask you the same thing but
I think I already know the answer.

Max PULLS the vile out of his pocket for Edward to see.

EDWARD
(ACTING SURPRISED)
You found it.

MAX
You can stop pretending now. You
know very well this is the main
reason we're all here.

MAX (CONT.)
So why don't you tell me dad. What
exactly it is inside this vile and
why it's so damn important to you.

EDWARD
I'll be more than happy to explain
everything to you but first we
need to get out of here.

MAX
(EMPHATICALLY)
How about you tell me right
fucking now.

EDWARD
But this place is rigged to blow.

MAX
Already know that.

EDWARD
What about those flesh eating
freaks that are in here.

MAX
Know about them to.

EDWARD
Then what in the hell are we just
standing here for.

88.

MAX
(RAISED VOICE)
Cause I want the truth for once
and you better start talking now
cause if the bomb doesn't get us.
Those freaks will.

Meanwhile, the camera shows a group of infected workers
making their way SLOWLY up to the top floor.

INT. ABANDONED ROOM - CONTINUOUS

            EDWARD
      (HANDS OUT IN
       FRONT)
Alright, alright. What your
holding in your hand. Is the most
powerful serum that man will ever
know.

U.C.- Timer now at 10 minutes and counting.

MAX
What do you mean by powerful.

EDWARD
Plain and simple. That vile you're
holding contains a serum that
could possibly cure any kind of
disease known to man. From simple
arthritis to cancer.

MAX
Is that so.

EDWARD
Yes. Now can we go.

MAX
We're not done. Are you the owner
of this facility?

EDWARD
Yes. I financed it to be built on
this remote location. So I could
conduct the necessary research.
Needed to create the serum. Now
can we get the hell out of here.

MAX
Not so fast. My next question is
what were you planning on doing
with this serum.

89.

EDWARD
I was going to do what I do best
and conduct business. To sell it
to the highest bidder.

MAX
Cause that's all it's ever been
about to you. Right dad. The next
big business deal. Making a quick
dollar. No matter what the cost.

            MAX (CONT.)
      (HOLDING THE VILE
       UP)
Did it ever occur to you that
maybe just maybe mom could have
used this. To help save her life.
Or did you not think about that.
Like when you took off after she
was diagnosed with cancer.
(RAISING VOICE IN FRUSTRATION) Or
how about when you left her to die
alone on her death bed. Did any of
that ever occur to you. Or was it
all just about business. Like
always.

We watch as the infected workers are still WALKING up the
stairs.

INT. ABANDONED ROOM - CONTINUOUS

EDWARD
I don't know what it is that you
want me say. That I'm sorry.

MAX
That's not even remotely enough.

EDWARD
Than what more do you want from
me.
To tell you that a was a horrible
father and an even worse husband.

MAX
It's still not enough. I don't
think there's anything you can do
or say that can make up for all
the pain and suffering you caused.
Not only to me but my mother. Your
wife.

90.

EDWARD
(UNSYMPATHETIC)
Alright than. I get it. You hate
me. Can we get out of here now.

MAX
Look at you. After all these years
you still don't care. Only
thinking about your greedy little
self.

MAX (CONT.)
But there is one thing I want to
let you know.

EDWARD
What is that.

MAX
That this is one deal that isn't
going to happen.

Max HOLDS out the vile in front of Edward and let's it go
from his hand.

We watch in SLOW MOTION as the vile FALLS to the ground.

Edward LUNGES for it.

EDWARD
(HOLLERS OUT)
NO!

The vile SMASHES to the ground.

Edward is now KNEELING on the ground by the smashed vile in
SHOCK.

EDWARD
(FRUSTRATED)
Do you have any idea what you've
just done.

MAX
Something I should have done a
long time ago.

Max PUNCHES Edward in the FACE.

We watch as BLOOD SPITS OUT from Edward's mouth.

Edward FALLS over to the ground.

91.
We then see the infected workers WALK through the doorway and make their way over to Edward. The infected workers begin to ATTACK Edward. We watch as Edward is RIPPED apart by the workers. Max takes a moment to watch the infected workers attack Edward. Max then TURNS AWAY and starts to RUN towards the MULTI-PANE GLASS WINDOW. U.C.- Timer at 10 seconds and counting. Max continues to RUN towards the MULTI-PANE GLASS WINDOW. Two infected workers a MALE and FEMALE. CHASE after Max. U.C.- Timer counting down 3, 2, 1 We watch as the timer reads ZERO. The bomb goes off and EXPLODES. We watch as Max reaches the multi-pane glass window and JUMPS out through it. We watch as the FLAMES ENGULF all the infected workers and Edward. FLAMES BURST out through the window. We watch as Max FALLS out of the window into the WATER. With FLAMES SHOOTING out from the building. We watch as Max SPLASHES through the water. Max starts SWIMMING UNDERWATER. FLAMES SPREAD out from above into the MORNING AIR.


EXT. SPEEDBOAT - DAY

Art and Avery are waiting on the speedboat. Art and Avery hear the explosion in the background.

92.

ART
(SARCASM)
That can't be good.

AVERY
We have to go back.

Avery starts to get off the speedboat to head back to the
facility.

Art GRABS Avery and STOPS her from going back.

ART
Hold up. Now I'm not the smartest
guy in the world but that kind of
sounded like an explosion. Which
means the building is on fire and
probably crumbling to the ground.

AVERY
So what. We can't just leave
without checking to see if Max is
alive.

ART
By the sound of that explosion. I
don't think anyone made it out
alive.

Avery starts to breakdown into TEARS.

AVERY
(WITH TEARS)
Dammit.

Art puts his hands on Avery's shoulders.

Avery TURNS AROUND and brings her face into Art's chest.

Avery starts to CRY.

Art CONSOLES Avery.

Moments later we hear a voice in the background.

MAX (O.S.)
Now you wouldn't be crying over
me.

Art and Avery both LOOK OVER to see Max WALKING to the boat.

Clothes DRENCHED from his swim.

93.

Avery HOPS over the boat and RUNS up towards Max.

Max and Avery embrace in a HUG.

AVERY
(HUGGING MAX)
Thank God. You made it.

MAX
(HUGGING AVERY)
I told you that I would.

Art is STANDING on the boat.

ART
(HOLLERS OUT)
I knew you would make it all along
buddy.

Max and Avery STOP HUGGING.

MAX
(HOLLERS TO ART)
Yeah. Sure you did.

Max and Avery WALK back to the boat.

Art helps Avery up onto the boat.

Max follows after Avery.

ART
(TO MAX)
What did you do. Decide to go for
a swim.

MAX
It was either that or get burnt
alive.

ART
Let me see if I can find you a
towel.

Art heads beneath the boat to the cabin.

Max and Avery SIT down.

AVERY
I have to admit. I was worried
when I heard the explosion.

94.

MAX
Didn't think I was going to make
it out in time.

AVERY
Well I'm glad you did. What about
your father?

MAX
What about him.

AVERY
Did you see him in there.

MAX
I did.

AVERY
And.

            MAX
      (PAUSES FOR A
       MOMENT)
Well we didn't have a father son
bonding moment. If that's what
you're asking. Though I can say I
finally got some much needed
closure.

AVERY
Did he make it out.

MAX
No. In the end my father got
exactly what he deserved.

MAX (CONT.)
My father was without a doubt a
horrible man.

Avery puts her HAND on Max's SHOULDER.

MAX
Unlike his son.

Max turns his head to look at Avery.

The two STARE at each other for a moment.

Max then LEANS in and KISSES Avery.

The two continue to KISS.

95.

Art comes up from beneath the boat.

HOLDING a BIG BLACK DUFFEL BAG.

ART
Will you two get a room

Max and Avery STOP KISSING.

MAX
(TO ART)
Did you find a towel?

ART
No I didn't find a towel. Although
I did find something better.

Art TOSSES the duffel bag over at Max and Avery's feet.

U.C.- Duffel bag full of money.

AVERY
(SHOCKED LOOK)
Oh my God. Is that.

ART
A bag full of money. Why yes it
is.

Avery gets UP and KNEELS down by the duffel bag and PULLS
OUT a wad of MONEY and flips through it with her thumb.

ART
Looks like the money was real
after all.

MAX
Have to admit. I'm a little
surprised.

Avery TOSSES a wad over to Max.

Max CATCHES it and forces out a slight SMILE.

            MAX
      (TO ART HOLDING
       THE WAD OF CASH)
What do you say we get out of here
and go have those beers.

96.

ART
(SARCASTIC)
You know those are the best words
to come out of your mouth yet.

Art WALKS to the front of the boat.

Avery gets up from kneeling and SITS back down next to Max.

AVERY
I guess it's some consolation for
all that we went through.

MAX
I don't know. I think I'm walking
away with something worth more
than the money.

AVERY
Now Max. You wouldn't be referring
to me would you.

MAX
(WITH A SMILE)
I could be.

Avery gently SLAPS Max on the chest.

The two then EMBRACE each other.

Art STARTS the boat up.

ART
(HOLLERS OUT)
All aboard.

MAX
(HOLLERS TO ART)
Do you even know how to drive this
thing?

ART
(HOLLERS OUT)
Sure I do. I've read speedboats
for dummies.

Max and Avery SMILE.

We watch as the speedboat races off in the open water.

Camera shows a WIDE shot from above.

The speedboat continues to ride off in the distance.

97.

FADE OUT to ENDING CREDITS.

FADE IN.

EXT. WOODED AREA - DAY

We see Edward's assistant WALKING through the woods.

Carrying both of her high heels in her hand.

Confused as to where she is.

She happens to spot a small spring filled with water.

She WALKS over to it and KNEELS down.

Placing her heels to the side of her.

She reaches in with her hands and SPLASHES water on her
face.

She reaches in again with a cupped hand and brings water to
her mouth for a drink.

She REACHES in for a THIRD time.

This time she drops the water from her hand.

We watch as she grows a CONCERNED look upon her face.

We watch from behind as she SLOWLY turns her head around and
looks up with HORROR.

STANDING behind her are THREE infected workers from the
facility.

Two MALE office workers and one FEMALE lab worker.

The assistant let's out a HORRIFIC SCREAM.

We watch the three infected workers descend down upon her.

The flow is a bit disjointed to read. You might consider condensing the direction given and not space each element you are conveying. Avoid using the parenthetical annotations in dialogue. You have a decent idea, but it needs some clean up.
