BILLY
Hey! Nice game last night! it was
amazing. |

MIKE
Oh, hey thanks man. I'm so tired
now though. My parents were so
proud of me after that we had a
party until midnight. |

MR D
pARTY UNTIL 3 ON A SCHOOL NIGHT?
UNLIKELY. |

SARA
UH! Lucky! I wish my parents did
that for me sometime! |
|
|

BILLY
Well your not the one who tackled
the guy and recovered the fumble
for a touchdown now were you? |
|
|

SARA
no.... But hey i can do some
amazing things! |
|
|

BILLY
Oh sure.. Like talk so fast my
ears fall off? But anyways, dude
Mike, I hope your the MVP this
year. I mean a thursday night game
that you won against the toughest
team in California? And how do you
still have time for your
homework!? |

MIKE
Hehe, you know Bill, I have no
clue... But i didnt beat them
alone, it was a team effort |

SARA (mad at Billy)
Well I hear soemone has a heart,
unlike someone whos name I will

Aww come on Sara! You know you
love me! Ugh i guess now its time

Everyone stop crowding around

MIKE
Ok guys seriously the bell rang
and i dont want a detention after
last night |

MRS. G
(Screams)
HEY!! EVERYONE SIT DOWN!!
and mike you did an excelent job
last night, Im sure you will be
getting the MVP award this year |

MIKE
Thanks Mrs. G but its a team
effort, not only me so not only I
should get the award |

|

COACH
You see, thats why you should have
the MVP award, you make our team a
team. I think you are the only one
who has realized its not a solo
sport, no team could ever do
anything with only 1 good player |

Coach! Why are you here? I didnt

Mike walking in trying to memorize his speech |

Hey Mike, whats that your reading? |

Oh, this? Nothin important
looks like your not mad at Billy
anymore |

SARA
yea he was realy funny in first
period so i accepted his appology
Hey! dont change the subject on
me! Realy what is that? |

MIKE
Something I had to write.. youll
see in 7th period |
|

SARA

would you have to write for math? |

BILLY
(sits down handing
sara her lunch)
Hey guys! Watcha talkin about? |

(stares at Billy
smiling)

I dont know.. not up to me but you

Dude if that happens, its gunna be

preparing for next period |

this is on the test next teusday |

(putting the note
in his pocket)

this is your principal speaking,
all classes must report to the gym
for an assembly |

SARA
Oh, so this is what you were
studying those lines for, the
assembly |

MIKE
Shh! dont tell anyone |

|

MIKE
I dont know... All i know is I
needed a speech ready... |

BILLY
Hey, whats this about? |

INT. GYM - DAY |
|
|
|
PEOPLE ARE RESTLESS IN THE GYM WHILE THEY ARE SETTLING IN |

MR. TWAIN
Kids, settle down, its about time
for this assembly to start. Coach? |

|

COACH
Thankyou Mr. Twain. now as you
kids know, we had an amazing
season, and an even greater night
game last night |

WHOLE GYM
*cheers* *everyone around Mike
hitting him playfully* |
|
|
|

COACH
now we all know that that was the
toughest team in California right? |
|
|
|
|
|
|

| |
COACH
well i am here to award the MVP to
the person who made that game
possible for us to win, Mike
Endure! |
|
|
|
the gym goes crazy as Mike starts walking up to the stage
taking out the peice of paper that has his speech on it |
|
|

MIKE
(nervously)
Thanks Coach, now i know all of
you guys were phsyched for the
game last night, especially after
we won! |
|
|
|
| |
WHOLE GYM
(cheers wildly) |
|
|
|
Mike takes his speech and reads it slowly, with pauses
between each sentence. |
|
|
| |
MIKE
Everyone may think that this is
all for me, but i believe that
last nights game was a team
effort. Along with all the games
before this, and even in the
future, these will be team
efforts. We will only win, AS A
TEAM. |

|
|

MIKE
I will only accept this award as a
team, i promise, i will not take
this as a single person or let the
success go to my head. Thank you

After finishing his speech, he walks off the stage with
everyone cheering their lungs out |

(wiping tears)
That is what our school is all
about, a team effort. That was
beautiful. everybody give 'im

(claps
thunderously) |

INT. MIKE WALKING HOME - DAY |
|
|
Walking out of the gym after the speeches by the award
winners and the lettermen jackets had been newly equipped
with their badges and letters, Mike seems very happy. |

BILLY
(runs up)
you seem extremely happy Mike,
whats goin on with you? |
|
|
|
| |
MIKE
Yea man, i got her number |
|
|
|
|
|

MIKE
her... cant you remember??
fine... Katie |
|
|
|

BILLY
(blank face while
thinking)
oh yea! haha sorry, couldnt
remember who you were talking

(handing him the

Here (puts his pin in his letter
in a better spot) |

Woah thanks! it looks great! |
|

BILLY
So are we gunna start walking? |
|
|

(high fiving Mike
handing him the
note secretly)
forgot to say, nice new jacket |

Mike is sitting on his bed, bored so he picks up the phone |

|

MIKE
Hey Katie, so what did you say you
were doin tomorow night? |

KATIE
Hey Mike! nothing, why whats up? |
|
|

Well i was just wondering if you
wanted to go see a movie tomorrow
night... |

KATIE
YEA!! ok so what time should we
meet? |

umm... six sound good to you? |

Ok, ill be counting the minutes |

THE PHONE CLICKS OFF |

we appear in what we think is the movie theatre with mike
and katie sitting next to each other |

im having a real good time tonight
thanks for coming with me |

MIKE
so am i, (whispers something in
her ear) |

|
|
|
|
|
camera is about the perspective of the reel for the movie,
as we see them of what we think is making out. the camera
goes up and looks at the movie screen and starts going up to
the ceiling and fades. |

FUMBLE? |

| It was okay, but extremely vague. Where are they? What are they doing? What do they look like? These are questions that you need to answer! |

| First off, why was that rated PG? Now, this script has no direction. I had no idea what was going on. Movies are a visual media. I could not imagine what any of the characters looked like, how old they were etc. This needs to be described. This really didn't have that good of a plot either. The dialog was awful. It really wasn't believable at all. There were also a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes. There's more I could talk about, but I won't waste my time. |
