MAHOGANY RENDEZVOUS
|

INT. BASEMENT - DAY |
|
|
Opening Credits. In between frames of the credits, a scene
plays out.A teenager, Rhett Wilkins is seen leaning against
a pool table. A fellow teenager walks up, and hands Rhett an
undisclosed amount of money. In exchange, Rhett hands the
other teenager a small paper bag. The two shake hands, and
the buyer leaves. Rhett continues to lean against the table
as the main title comes on the screen. |

|
INT. RHETT WILSON'S BEDROOM - DAY |
|
|
Rhett is sitting down at his desk in his bedroom. It is a
modest-sized single bedroom, but obviously has more stuff
than space, yet still is tidy. Rhett is seen putting the
money that he just acquired into a special box in his desk
drawer, when someone knocks on the door. |
|
|

RHETT
(without looking
up from his desk)
Yeah? |
|
|
|
|
The door opens, and another teen walks in. |
|
|
| |
RHETT
(Now looking up.)
Oh hey man, what's up? |
|
|
|
|
The two shake hands, as the Customer sits on Rhett's bed. |
|
|
| |
CUSTOMER
(Somewhat
"sketchily")
So...uh....you got my order? |
|
|
|
| |
RHETT
(digging in his
desk drawer)
Yep. Direct from Oly.Let me tell
you,this shit right here is primo.
All the kids at Evergreen rave
about it. |
|
|
|
|
Rhett pulls out a small paper bag. |
|
|

| |
CUSTOMER
(Reaching into his
wallet)
So, the usual twenty? |
|
|
|
| |
RHETT
(gets an awkward
look on his face)
Actually....since this is such a
special delivery, its gonna run
you an extra five. Is that cool. |
|
|
|
| |
CUSTOMER
(Still digging
into his wallet)
...I guess. It better be worth it. |
|
|
|
The Customer hands Rhett the money, and Rhett hands over the
bag. |
|
|
| |
RHETT
(leaning back in
his chair)
I think you'll be satisfied. If
not, let me know. |
|
|
|
The Customer opens the bag, and smells it. His expression
suddenly switches from one of cautious disappointment to
sheer bliss. |
|
|
| |
CUSTOMER
(With a little bit
of a chuckle)
Yeah, man. Well, I gotta go test
this. Later. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The customer stands up and leaves. Rhett once again puts his
newly acquired money into his safe box, when he receives a
phone call. |
|
|
| |
|
INT. RHETT'S ROOM/LUKE +CHESTER'S ROOM - DAY |
|
|
Rhett looks at his phone, smiles somewhat, and answers it.
As he answers it, the screen repeatedly transitions to
between the two locales. |
|
|
| |
RHETT
Hey man, what's up? |
|
|
|

| |
CHESTER
Not much man. You holdin' any? |
|
|
|
| |
RHETT
Naw man, I just sold the last of
it. But I'm re-upping in about an
hour. UW Medical. Legit. |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
Legit UW Medical? Damn. |
|
|
|
| |
RHETT
Yeah,so I'll let you guys know
when its ready. |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
Ok, sounds good, man. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Both hang up their phone. The action stays split screen for
a moment, as Rhett gets another knock on his door. As he
goes to open it, his side of the screen fades out. Now, we
are only watching Chester's side, which has now transitioned
to full screen. Chester is sitting at his desk, while his
roommate, Luke Holder, is sitting on his bed, playing Xbox. |

LUKE
(Not taking his
attention off the
game)
So, what's going on? |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
(Spinning around
to talk to Luke)
He just ran out, but he said he's
gonna get some good shit soon.
He'll call us when he's ready. |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
Damn!
(puts controller
down)
How good is 'good'? |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
| |
CHESTER
Yeah, I know. Now we just have to
wait. |
|
|
|
A time-lapse scene. Luke and Chester are seen doing very
"bored" actions, while a transparent digital clock is in the
foreground. The minutes start transpiring faster and faster,
until multiple hours have passed. |
|
|
| |
|
INT. LUKE AND CHESTER'S ROOM - NIGHT |
|
|
Luke is sitting at his desk, while Chester is laying on
Luke's bed. Both are very bored, and very frustrated. |
|
|
| |
CHESTER
(frustrated)
What is taking so long? |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
(also frustrated)
Seriously! Didn't he say it'd be
about an hour or so? How long has
it been? |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
(Looks at the
clock)
About 5 hours. |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
Damn.You try calling him? |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
Yeah, he's not answering.....
(Stands up)
C'mon man, I'm going up there. Its
the only way we're gonna get
anywhere. |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
(Also stands up)
Let's do this |
|
|
|
| |
|
INT. HALLWAY/RHETT'S ROOM - DAY |
|
|
We see Chester and Luke walking through the halls of their
residence Hall. We see a high-angle shot from the top of the
stairwell to the bottom, showing Chester and Luke walking up

them. After walking up a flight of stairs, they again are
walking through a hallway. In between walking shots, we have
a stationary shot of Rhett's door, which is slightly ajar,
from inside his room. Finally, Luke and Chester reach
Rhett's room. They knock....no reply. |
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
Hey, his door's open. Maybe he
just fell asleep or something. |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
Yeah, maybe he broke into the UW
medical. |
|
|
|
|
Chester pushes open the door. |
|
|
| |
|
INT. RHETT'S ROOM - NIGHT |
|
|
The two open Rhett's door, and see that Rhett's room has
been trashed.Most of the contents of his closet have been
thrown on the floor. From underneath the rubble, we can hear
a phone ringing. The two look at each other, and then search
for it. After a brief search, Luke finds it. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
Yeah. I don't think Rhett'd mind. |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
(Answers phone)
....Hello. |
|
|
|
| |
UNSEEN VOICE
(trying to
disquise his
voice)
Your friend has been kidnapped. |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
Whoa whoa whoa! First off, he's
not our friend, he's our dealer.
And why'd you'd kidnap him? |
|
|
|

|
|
|
| |
LUKE
Where are we gonna get that kind
of money? |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
I guess Rhett's been kidnapped.
And there's some money somewhere
in here, that if we give it to
these guys tomorrow, they'll let
him go. |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
(Laughs)
This has got to be some kind of
joke. I mean, seriously.
(Opens the desk as
he's talking)
He's probably got some dubs
weighed out in his drawer. We'll
just grab a couple, leave the
money, and I'm sure he'll
understand. |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
I don't know man. That guy sounded
pretty serious. |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
(Picks up the
money box)
Hey hey, what's this? |
|
|
|
Chester opens up the box and looks inside. He sees the
money. |
|
|
| |
CHESTER
Holy Shit! I found the money! |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
(looks at the
money)
Damn, he was right. So, what
should we do? |
|
|
|

| |
CHESTER
Usually, I'd consider taking the
money, but Rhett's a pretty legit
dealer most of the time. So, what
do we have to do? |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
I guess they're gonna call us
tomorrow. That's all I know. |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
Awesome. Tomorrow...we get our
dealer back! |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
|
INT. BASEMENT-THE NEXT DAY - DAY |
|
|
Luke and Chester are standing in a back alley, waiting.
Chester is wearing a back-pack. |
|
|
| |
CHESTER
So, he said he's meet us here? |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
Yep. Said as long as we have the
money, Rhett would be safe. Easy
as that. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
From across the alley, four men approach. Two henchmen,
Rhett, and another man, Samurai Del Tacoru. |
|
|
| |
SAMURAI DE TACARU
Are you Luke and Chester? |
|
|
|
| |
LUKE
Are you the guy from the phone? |
|
|
|
| |
SAMURAI DE TACARU
You got our money? |
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
You got our dealer? |
|
|
|

| |
SAMURAI DE TACARU
Let's make this as quick and easy
as possible. |
|
|
|
Chester throws Samurai Del Tacoru the backpack. The two
thugs push Rhett towards Luke and Chester. |
|
|
| |
SAMURAI DE TACARU
(Opening backpack)
Mind if I count it? |
|
|
|
|
Luke and Chester look at each other. |
|
|
| |
SAMURAI DE TACARU
(Reaches into the
backpack)
What's this?!?!
(pulls out socks) |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
SAMURAI DE TACARU
That's it! Get them! |
|
|
|
The two thugs step forward to fight. But they are
outnumbered 2-to-3, as Rhett has stood alongside Luke and
Chester. Samurai Del Tacoru signals, and more thugs come
from different parts of the alley. The thugs surround the
three, as an epic fight begins. At first, it starts out as
your basic karate/fist fight, but quickly evolves into
something far more intense. It turns into a chase scene
through the stairs of the residence hall. They all end up in
the back alley again. |

| |
RHETT
Wait, how'd we end up back here? |
|
|
|
The thugs get back into the alley, as the fight continues,
after an intense battle, the three protagonists vanquish the
thugs. The three look at each other, and then up towards the
residence hall. Up on the fire escape, they see Samurai Del
Tacoru peering out a window. The three decide to go get him. |
|
|

|
INT. BASEMENT OF RESIDENCE HALL - DAY |
|
|
|
The three protagonists corner Samurai Del Tacoru. |
|
|

| |
SAMURAI DE TACARU
No! No! NOOOO! |
|
|
|
| |
RHETT
Hey guys. Let's make this quick. |
|
|
|
The three men go to karate chop Samurai Del Tacoru,The shot
switches to SDT's POV.The shot freezes as they get close to
Karate chopping him. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
END CREDITS |
|
|
| |
|
INT. LUKE AND CHESTER'S ROOM - DAY |
|
|
After the credits, an additional scene begins to air. Luke,
Chester, and Rhett are hanging out, when Chester gets a
phone call. |
|
|
| |
CHESTER
(Answers phone)
Hello.......What?.....Really?.....Oh
God!....Yeah, we'll try our best.
(hangs up phone)
Guys, you'll never believe this. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
CHESTER
Our beer hookup got arrested in
Mexico. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
