      (Smiling and

                                         CROSS FADE

EXT. FORESTY AREA - DAY

Three siblings walk along a road, arguing about their lives.
LYLA, the oldest walks on the right, huffing angrily as they
go. KOEN, walks on the left sighing and huffing sadly. Nara,
the youngest walks between her siblings

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
There were three siblings who
walked together on a trip to
explore, after a fatal accident.

While arguing the three come upon an impasse, it was deep
and dangerous. They could not pass through or walk around
the three look to each other, Lyla begins to argue with the
others.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
As they traveled the three came
upon an impasse that was to
dangerous to simply walk through,
and was to vast to walk around.

                       LYLA
      (Angrily)
Seriously! Koen, this is all your
fault if you weren't such
a...a...a.a. pain! We wouldn't be
in this mess.

2.

                       NARA
Please sister, Let us just try to
find a way threw then we can
continue our argument.

                       KOEN
Yes, sister let us put aside our
differences for now and find our
way across.

                       LYLA
Fine, for now. Let's build a
bridge and get out of here.

The three create a bridge from what was around them by
waving their wands and moving the pieces into place. When
the bridge was complete, they nodded to each other and began
to cross.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
However the siblings were learned
in the magical arts, and so simply
they waved their wands and made a
bridge.

A hooded figure, DEATH, appears in the middle of the bridge
he stands tall and unmoving. as the three attempt to pass
him, he moves to block them, they try the other direction,
Death moves with them.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
Before they could cross however
they found their path blocked by a
hooded figure, it was Death and he
felt cheated. Cheated because
travelers would normally die in
the impasse. But Death was
cunning.

                       DEATH
      (Flourishing Bows)
Congratulations, travelers! You
have bested my trap, you deserve a
prize for your cunning.

Death steps toward Lyla and extended his hand.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
And so death approached the
approached the oldest traveler.

3.

                       DEATH
The oldest of three shall receive
the first gift. What is your
desire, child?

Lyla looks up at Death her face void of emotion. She smiles
and steps close to Death.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
Lyla, was a combative woman, who's
quarrels were many and debts were
vast. Her anger and pride drove
her to extremes.

                       LYLA
A trinket that will grant me luck,
so that I will always win. I will
never lose another penny, nor will
I ever be humiliated.

Death crosses to a tree and creates a small charm. He then
steps forward and passes the small wooden trinket to Lyla.
She takes it and holds it up to view it, Death bows his head
and steps backward.

                       NARRATOR
So death crossed fashioned her a
charm from the Elder Tree nearby
and gave it to the oldest sibling,
who examined it and did not here
Death's warning.

                       DEATH
Be mindful child, pride comes
before the fall.

Death turns his head to the second traveler. Then takes a
step toward the brother.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
Death turned to the second
traveler.

                       DEATH
The second of all shall receive
the second gift. What do you wish
for son?

Koen ponders the question, and smiles mischievously then
looks up at Death.

4.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
Koen was arrogant man and decided
to humiliate Death still further.

                       KOEN
I wish for the ability to recall
my loved ones from beyond the
grave, back to the world of the
living.

Death nods his head and then looks around at the ground,
finally finding what he was searching for. He picks up a
smooth stone, he extends the stone to Koen. He eagerly takes
the stone from death and stares into it.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
So Death plucked a stone from the
earth and handed it to him. The
second sibling took the stone from
Death, and held it close.

                       DEATH
Turn the stone thrice in hand and
think of the one you wish to
recall.

Koen nods slightly and returns to staring at the stone.
Death bows his head and steps back, he turns slowly to Nara,
she stands completely still and emotionless.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
So Death turned to the final
traveler.

                       DEATH
The third though maybe last may
also be wisest.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
Nara, a humble women saw through
Death's cunning trap.

Nara smiles and then bows her head in a sense of
acknowledgement.

                       NARA
I wish to go forth from this place
without being followed by you.

                       NARRATOR (V.O.)
And so reluctantly Death took his
own cloak of invisibility, and
gave it to the third traveler.

Death pulls out from underneath his cloak a shimmering cloak
of invisibility. and presents it to Nara.bowing his head he

I must acknowledge.

                       LYLA
I have much business to attend to,
I must depart.

Lyla pushes past Death across the bridge and into the dark.

                       KOEN
      (quietly)
I must..leave as well. Fare thee
well sister.

Koen turns and returns the way by which they had come. Nara

puts on the cloak disappearing.
