INT. SCHOOL - GUIDANCE COUNSELLOR'S ROOM - DAY

FADE IN:

Counsellor Melissa waits patiently at her desk when she
hears a knock on the door.

                       COUNSELLOR
      (gives a small
       smile)
Come in

                       JIMMY
      (open the door
       aand walks in.
       Looks very
       worried)
Hello... miss.. em... you wanted
to see me?

3.

                       COUNSELLOR
Yes Jimmy. Why don't you take a
seat?
      (Gestures towards
       the chair infront
       of her)

Jimmy nods and sits down at the indicated chair. He now
looks more worried and wonders why Counsellor Melissa wants
to see him.

                       COUNSELLOR
Now you are probably wondering why
I called you here Jimmy. Well
yesterday I saw you going off with
James and his gang after the class
bell rang. Where were you going?

                       JIMMY
      (looks more
       worried and
       specks in a small
       voice)
Em... the arcade...

                       COUNSELLOR
Don't worry. You not in trouble
and I won't cause you more
problems. In fact, the reason why
I called you here is to caution
you about James.

                       JIMMY
But James is...

                       COUNSELLOR
      (interupts)
I know he is your friend but good
friends shouldn't influence you to
skip class or smoke.

                       JIMMY
I don't smoke.....

                       COUNSELLOR
I can smell it on you Jimmy, it's
rather strong.

Jimmy looks down guiltily as Counsellor Melissa starts
advising Jimmy about James flaws and tells him to find some
real friends who will not take advantage of his timidness or
push him to do thing he does not want him to do.

4.

Jimmy takes what Counsellor Melissa to heart and sever ties
with James. James doesn't take it personally and writes it
off as a lost cause.

                                         FADE OUT

FADE IN: (V.O PLAYS WITH SCENE)

                       NARATOR (V.O)
Every day, teenagers are pressured
into doing things that they do not
want to do just so they can fit in
with the 'in crowd'. Being forced
to skip class, smoke, do drugs or
bully others. They need to be able
to stand up for themselves and
sometimes that requires some help.
This is what guidance counsellors
are for.

Counsellor Melissa walks down the hall holding her books and
sees Jimmy with two boys chatting animately about something.
Jimmy's records have been clean since the guidance
counsellor meeting and Jimmy doesn't let anyone pressure him
into doing things any more. Counsellor Melissa gives a big
smile and walks towards her office.

                                         FADE OUT TO BLACK
