BABYSITTER (A HORROR SHORT FILM)
INT. DONNY'S HOUSE - NIGHT |
The camera aims at the house phone which is ringing. It
switches to a shot of Jenny and Donny hiding in a closet.
Jenny, Age 16, holds a knife in one of her hands. She turns
to Donny, age 7. |
JENNY
It's okay Donny. We'll just let it
go to voicemail. |
DONNY
Are you gonna die tonight? Like
those other babysitters on the
news? |
She grabs Donny with one arm and strokes his hair. |
JENNY
No. And neither will you. Think of
it this way. The person is calling
from the other side of the phone.
He can't hurt you. |
The ringing stops. A beep is heard then the phone letting
out a tone. The door opens in the background. Donny starts
crying. |
DONNY
He's here! He's gonna kill us! |
JENNY
Shut up! If you keep crying he'll
find us. Then you can be worried. |
There is total silence. Jenny turns to Donny. |
2.
JENNY
I'm gonna go check. |
Donny quiets down. |
JENNY
I appreciate your concern, but
it's my duty to make sure you're
safe. |
DONNY
SO YOU'RE LEAVING ME ALONE? |
JENNY
If you stay here and stay quiet,
you'll be fine. |
He hugs her. She mtions him into a bundle of jackets. She
strokes his face and wipes his tears. She nods to him and
leaves the closet raising her knife up. Donny bundles
himself in a bunch of jackets. |
Jenny walks upstairs with the knife. She walks into a room
and sees the closet wide open. She cautiously walks towards
it and pushes it open. Cuts to Donny in the closet. He sees
someone outside the door and hears slight music. He covers
himself more. Then he pokes his head out more. |
The door creaks open. Cuts back to Jenny shifting through
the closet. She finds a bunch of photos. |
JENNY (To herself)
The dead babysitters. |
She sees another photo under a bag. She picks it up and lets
out a little shriek. The camera zooms in on the picture: a
picture of her. We hear Donny scream in the background.
Jenny gets up and runs out of the room. She grabs the phone
and dials 911. We next see her running downstairs, but she
is pulled into the closet by someone. The screen goes black
and all we hear in the background is a piercing scream. |
The scene fades back in with Donny and Jenny tied up in
chairs. Jenny looks over to Donny. |
3.
Donny looks over at Jenny. She shrieks because his face is
all bloody and beaten. |
JENNY
Yes. Donny it's Jenny. |
DONNY
You told me I wouldn't die. You
told me that I wouldn't die. |
JENNY
You're not dead Donny... Not
yet... |
JENNY
No I didn't mean it like that! |
DONNY
Stop......Lying...... |
The killer walks in clapping slowly. |
KILLER
Nice going Jenny. Lying to 7 year
olds? Tsk Tsk. |
JENNY
You asshole! WHO ARE YOU! |
KILLER
Well if I told you, it wouldn't be
as fun! Now would it? |
The killer walks over to Donny. he teases him a bit. |
4.
KILLER
Typical hero. Underestimating the
villain. But I'm not shallow
enough to stab a 7 year old. |
The killer pulls out a knife and continuously stabs Donny.
Jenny screams and Donny cries. Now Donny is slumped in his
chair dead and Jenny is crying. The killer walks over to her
and lifts up her face. |
The killer walks away from her. |
KILLER
Kill you? No. But we will meet
again soon. In the FUTURE, that
way it gives you anticipation,
makes you more scared. And because
the cops you called will be here
in 3, 2, 1. |
As the killer counts down, He takes off his mask so we see
the back of his head and when he gets to 1, blackout. |

INT. DR. SCHINDLER'S OFFICE - DAY |
A "one year later" fades on screen as the beginning credits
begin to roll. |
The scene starts with Jenny sitting in a chair across from a
man wearing a lab coat. |
DR. SCHINDLER
So he just took off his mask? |
DR. SCHINDLER
What did he look like? |
5.
JENNY
I don't know. He took off the mask
with his back facing to me. |
DR. SCHINDLER
And what did he say to you? |
JENNY
He told me that- that this
wouldn't be the last time we met. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Uh Huh. Did it ever occur to you
that this could've been planned
out Weeks, even months before it
happened to you? |
DR. SCHINDLER
And you said you've been having
dreams? |
DR. SCHINDLER
Would it be too much to ask you to
describe these dreams. |
DR. SCHINDLER
I understand. Not too many people
are almost killed and want to be
bothered with stuff that's their
business. |
He scribbles in his notepad before looking up at Jenny
again. |
DR. SCHINDLER
So he'd been calling you weeks
prior to this? |
JENNY
Yes. He'd call me with the same
voice. Saying the same thing
constantly. |
6.
DR. SCHINDLER
Can you describe to me the first
call? |
JENNY
(She hesitates for
a minute.)
Sure. |
INT. DONNY'S HOUSE (1 YEAR EARLIER) - NIGHT |

Movie? |

JENNY
Damn it, Chuck! You're such an
A-Hole! |
JENNY
Nothing Donny! Just don't ever
repeat that! |
Donny covers his mouth. |
JENNY
Atta Boy.
(She goes back to
talking on the
phone.)
Sorry. So what's up? |
7.
CHUCK
What? I can't just call to tell my
girlfriend that I love her? |
JENNY
Yeah about that.... |
The shot changes to Donny looking out the window. A man
stands out there in the darkness. Donny steps back from the
window. |
JENNY (To chuck)
It just isn't working out. |
JENNY (To chuck)
What did you just call me?!? Well
that just makes me glad we broke
up! Chuck you're such a- |
JENNY
WHAT DONNY?!? WHAT?!? |
DONNY
There's someone standing outside. |
DONNY
There's someone outside the
house... |
8.
JENNY
Chuck, is this you? |
There is a knock at the door. |
The phone rings and there is another knock at the door.
Jenny answers the phone. |
KILLER
Hey babes. Are you alone?
Company's coming.... |
JENNY
Chuck? Who is this? |
We hear a tone. There is another knock at the door. Jenny
picks up a knife from the counter. She walks slowly to the
door and Donny follows. The killer stands there and raises
his knife. Jenny falls back screaming. Chuck runs up to her
and helps her up. |
CHUCK
Jenny! What's wrong? |
CHUCK
Yeah I was gonna surprise you. |
He pulls out flowers. |
CHUCK
Surprise.
(He drops the
flowers.)
But I guess we're not together
anymore... |
She slaps him and picks up the phone. |
JENNY
THIS IS HOW YOU GET BACK AT ME?!?
WITH YOU STUPID 'I'M GONNA KILL
YOU' PRAN- |
9.
The phone rings. She looks at him. The three of them crowd
around the phone. It's on speaker. |
The killer laughs all the way into the blackout. |
INT. DR. SCHINDLER'S OFFICE (PRESENT TIME) - AFTERNOON |
The scene fades back in with Jenny and The therapist in the
therapist office. |
JENNY
At first I thought it was Chuck,
but he was there when the killer
called again. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Maybe it WAS Chuck. Perhaps he got
a friend to call you while he was
there. |
JENNY
That's what I thought but- |
DR. SCHINDLER
Sorry. Session's up. We can
continue tomorrow. |
He pops a tape out of the tape recorder and stands up. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Are you taking anymore jobs
babysitting? |
JENNY
I applied for a new job, but I
don't know if I want to do it.
After what happened you know. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Then don't do it. |
JENNY
But, they're paying me five bucks
an hour and I really need the
money, with Christmas coming up
and- |
DR. SCHINDLER
Then take it. |
10.
DR. SCHINDLER
Look, I'm not about to tell you
what to do, however, By now I
would just have forgot about it
and moved on to the FUTURE. |
She looks at him weirdly. He hands her a paper. |
DR. SCHINDLER
See you next week. |
EXT. BUS STOP - MOMENTS LATER |
Jenny walks to the bus stop. She looks to her right and sees
the killer. She backs up onto the pole and looks behind and
she sees the killer too. She screams as the two killers
begin walking to her. A hand grabs her shoulder and she
screams. When she turns to look at the person the hand
belongs to, she sees Chuck. |
JENNY
What are you doing here? |
CHUCK
Jenny, we need to talk. |
JENNY
We have nothing to talk about. |
JENNY
Chuck. It's been a year. You need
to stop this- It's over. |
CHUCK
It's not about us!
(Jenny looks to
him.)
It's about you. |
11.
JENNY
Look. I'll give you 1 minute. 1
minute to tell me all that you
need to say. |
CHUCK
I can't explain this in 40
seconds. |
CHUCK
JUST SHUT UP AND LET ME TALK!! |
Jenny starts walking away. |
CHUCK
Jenny, It's about the phone calls! |
Jenny stops. |
CHUCK
It's about your mother! |
She turns around and walks over to Chuck. |
JENNY
Listen Chuck! You don't know
ANYTHING about my mom! |
CHUCK
I know she was killed in a car
accident! |
JENNY
That's all anyone knows. That's
all they talk about. Listen up
Chuck, THIS IS MY LIFE! Not yours!
12.
JENNY (cont'd)
SO WHY DON'T YOU JUST STOP ACTING
LIKE YOU- |
Chuck grabs Jenny and tries to kiss her. Jenny socks him in
the gut. Chuck falls to the ground. |
JENNY
YOU DICK! I'M OVER YOU! MOVE ON! |
Jenny walks away. |
INT. ELI'S HOUSE - DAY |
Jenny walks up to a house. A woman answers. |
MRS. WEXNER
You must be Jenny. |
MRS. WEXNER
Come in, Come in. |
They walk into the kitchen. |
MRS. WEXNER
So get him to bed at 9:30, 10 at
the latest. Help yourself to
anything in the fridge. And don't
make him mad. |
JENNY
Why? Will he turn into a big green
rage monster? |
Mrs. Wexner stands at the door. |
13.
MRS. WEXNER
He's upstairs in his room. Have
fun. be safe. you have my cell.
And yeah |
JENNY
ok. Bye Mrs. Wexner. |
She walks out the door. The shot changes to Jenny pushing
open Eli's door. Eli, 14, sits at his computer. |
He ignores her. |
He ignores her again. |
He finishes typing and moves around to face her. |
JENNY
Oh, umm, I don't really know. |
ELI
My I.Q. is above 180. |
ELI
You see this computer? I built it! |
ELI
God damn right it's genius. |
14.
JENNY
You must be a smart kid. |
JENNY
You don't need to get all cocky
with me! |
ELI
I don't need a babysitter! |
He shut the door in Jenny's face. Jenny opens his door. |
ELI
You wanna see something cool? |
Eli Smiles. He gestures for Jenny to come and she does. He
pulls out a metal thing with wires and stuff. |
JENNY
Oh wow! What is it? |
ELI
Yeah! My parents won't let me have
one, so I made my own. |
JENNY
So I guess that your parents don't
know about this. |
Everything goes quiet. |
ELI
And it's gonna stay like that
right? |
15.
He carefully puts the phone away and stands up. |
ELI
Wanna see something else? |
Eli holds out a box. |
JENNY
Are you smart assing me? |
ELI
So you don't trust me? |
JENNY
No, I do! I just don't feel
comfortable doing- |
ELI
You don't feel comfortable here? |
Jenny slowly reaches her hand towards the box. Eli bumps up
the box and Jenny screams then continued to reach her hand
for the box. She gets her hand inside and screams. |
INT. DR. SCHINDLER'S OFFICE - DAY |
JENNY
A TARANTULA! THAT LITTLE DEVIL

16.
Jenny is once again sitting with the therapist in his
office. |
DR. SCHINDLER
But no phone call? |
DR. SCHINDLER
How many days has it been since
you started? |
DR. SCHINDLER
And no phone call? |
DR. SCHINDLER
Can you describe the boy. Eli, was
it? |
JENNY
He's a genius! Not a good one, not
an evil one. He laughs maniacally
whenever he watches a horror movie
filled with blood and guts, he has
pet tarantulas, and he builds
fricking computers and cell
phones! |
DR. SCHINDLER
What about his parents? Do they- |
JENNY
Oh My God his mom acts like
nothing happens they just tell me
not to make him mad! |
DR. SCHINDLER
Do you make him mad? |
JENNY
I DON'T KNOW! I MAKE HIM
SOMETHING! |
DR. SCHINDLER
How old is he? |
17.
DR. SCHINDLER
And he still needs a babysitter? |
JENNY
That kid needs friends! |
DR. SCHINDLER
And you can provide him that? |
JENNY
I can provide him of lots of
things. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Not friends? |
DR. SCHINDLER
Maybe he just doesn't want you to. |
JENNY
WELL I DON"T KNOW WHAT HE WANTS!
HE DOESN'T TELL ME! |
DR. SCHINDLER
Jenny calm- |
JENNY
NO! NO I WILL NOT CALM DOWN! NOT
UNTIL HE IS DEAD! NOT UNTIL HIS
FUCKING HEAD IS ON A STICK! Not
until I can answer my phone and
not know that someone, somewhere,
is trying to kill me. |
She sits down in her chair. The therapist takes out the
tape. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Jenny, You're scared. Who wouldn't
be? But that doesn't mean you have
to resort to the death of someone. |
18.
DR. SCHINDLER
Besides, he killed a little kid.
They aren't letting him out of
prison anytime soon. |
INT. PRISON - CONTINUOUS |

The scene changes to a shot of a man wearing a black
sweatshirt. A police officer is on the wall, blood dripping
from his head and each finger where a thumbtack was placed.
The man goes to the desk and pulls out a mask. The killer's
mask. He puts it on and walks to the cop. |
KILLER
Now this wouldn't have happened if
you just let me have my call. |
The killer pulls out his phone and places it to his ear. |
KILLER
I'm out. Yes. So what did the man
plan for us next. Mmmmhmmm. ok. So
how is she? She just left the
office. Where's she babysitting?
OOOhh I know that place all too

some old friends to "reunite".
What will I do next? Well, I just
gotta make a phone call. |
INT. JENNY'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON |

Jenny throws her stuff down on the floor and jumps onto her
bed. The shot changes and we see her sitting at her desk
with a textbook open, doing her homework. The phone rings
and she just stares at it. She picks up the phone. |

is screaming and stuff on the tv. He turns to look at Jenny. |
JENNY
Well at least you answered. |
A man gets caught and decapitated and Eli just laughs
maniacally. He turns back to Jenny. |
ELI
What do you want? A Cookie? |
ELI
Then Get out! You're letting the
light in. |
The killer slides a quarter into the machine and is on the
phone. |
She exits the room and sits down on the living room couch.
Her cell phone rings. |

Jenny stared forward blankly and screamed when Eli came up
behind her. |
JENNY
I thought you were watching a
movie! |
ELI
I was, I just hate the endings of
horror movies. |
ELI
I don't like it when the kill the
bad guy. So I turned it off. |
Jenny stared at Eli, who is laughing maniacally, holding the
phone in her hand. Eli stopped laughing and He turned to
Jenny. |
JENNY
(She shakes her
head.)
It's bed time. |
ELI
CAN I PLEASE STAY UP LATE AND

Eli grabs a book off of the counter and runs it back to

JENNY
Whatever you little creep. |

Jenny runs back to him. |

JENNY
Wait! What'd you just say! |
JENNY
What book are you reading? |
ELI
It's called "The Babysitter." It's

to black. |

DR. SCHINDLER

JENNY
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!! |
Jenny Falls into her seat. |
24.
DR. SCHINDLER
Now can you tell me about the
call? |
JENNY
Are you even listening to a word
I'm saying? |
JENNY
NO WONDER YOU NEED A TAPE
RECORDER! YOU PROBABLY DON'T EVEN
LISTEN TO THEM AGAIN! |
JENNY
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR ACTING LIKE
YOU CARE! |
DR. SCHINDLER
HOW DARE YOU SAY I DON'T CARE! I
DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS IS BUT I KNOW
YOUR SCARED! WE ALL ARE! FOR YOU!!
WE ALL CARE FOR YOU DEEP DOWN!!!
ELI! CHUCK! I DO! WE ALL DO! NOW I

YOUR ASS DOWN AND YOU BETTER BE
LISTENING BECAUSE I AM JENNY! I
TEND TO FOCUS ON THE PEOPLE I
HELP, AND I HOPE YOU'RE ONE OF
THEM! |
Jenny sits down in her chair. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Jenny, I'm sorry. |
JENNY
No. No. That was on me. |
DR. SCHINDLER
So will you cooperate now? |
25.
DR. SCHINDLER
Now explain to me the phone call. |
JENNY
Well. I answered the phone and
thought it was Chuck or Eli
messing with me. Then I knew who
it was. A voice that I hadn't
heard for one year. The voice of a
ghost. A voice that visits me
everyday in my dreams. The voice
that rang in my head saying "Hey
babe. I'm back." |
Dr. Schindler writes it down in his notepad. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Have you informed your mother
about this? |
JENNY
My mother, ummm passed away. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Well I'm sorry to hear that. How
about your father. |
JENNY
I grew up without him. I don't
know he sort of left on day. The
natural sob story of every
runaway. I live with my aunt. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Listen. Would it be too much to
ask for you to, ummm, recite your
mom's death? |
JENNY
I- I can't really remember that
well. I can't remember much
before Seventh Grade. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Can you do as best as you can? |
Dr. Schindler leans back in his chair. |
26.
INT. JENNY'S MOM'S CAR (4 YEARS EARLIER) - DAY |
Jenny and her mom are in the car. Jenny has her arms
crossed. |
Jenny's mom ignores her. |
Jenny's mom still ignores her. |
JENNY
I- HAAAAATTE- YOUUUU! |
Ugh you don't even care. |
JENNY'S MOM
Yes i do. I do and you know it. |
JENNY
Then show me you do! Tell me about
him! I want to learn more about my
dad! Why did he leave? What was
the point? Did he even want me? |
JENNY'S MOM
Your father made some bad
decisions, just drop it. |
Jenny looks out the window. |
JENNY
Where are we going? |
JENNY'S MOM
I'm dropping you off at your Aunt
Hudgen's house. You'll stay there
for a while. |
JENNY'S MOM
I DON'T CARE! |
27.
JENNY
EXACTLY! YOU DON'T CARE! YOU NEVER
CARED! |
She turns around to look at Jenny. |
JENNY'S MOM
Stop. STOP IT! You need to take it
down a notch. |
The car flips over. Shot of Jenny's mom screaming. Blackout.
The scene fades back in with Jenny at the grave of her
Mother. She kneels in front of it, crying. |
JENNY
I'm sorry. I'm SOOO sorry! |
She lays down next to the grave and cuddles it. |
Dr. Schindler pops out the tape. |
DR. SCHINDLER
I'll see you next week. |
EXT. STREET SIDEWALK - MOMENTS LATER |
Jenny is walking down the sidewalk. Chuck grabs her and
pushes her on the ground. He climbs on top of her. |
CHUCK
YOU SEE WHAT YOU DO TO ME! YOU
REMEMBER THAT NIGHT? THAT NIGHT
WHEN I COULD'VE CUT YOUR THROAT!
ALL THE PHONE CALLS! ALL THAT
STUFF TO GET MY REVEVNGE! HOW'S
DONNY? HUH! HUH YOU- YOU BITCH! |
Chuck falls to the ground crying. |
JENNY
Chuck..... What are you talking
about? |
28.
CHUCK
RUN! RUN YOU STUPID GIRL! RUN!
THEY'RE GONNA FIND YOU! HE'S GONNA
FIND YOU! RUN! |
CHUCK
RUN! I'M DEAD! I'VE GOT NOTHING TO
LIVE FOR! THEY'RE GONNA KILL ME
AND THEN YOU! RUN!! |
She runs back up the sidewalk and gets back into the office.
The Therapist is at his desk. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Jenny. What's wrong? |
DR. SCHINDLER
What about him? |
JENNY (V.o.)
I don't know what's wrong with
him.... |
DR. SCHINDLER (V.O.)
It's you. You created a
monster.... |
Jenny and Dr. Powers run down the hill and pick up Chuck.
They drag him up the hill. |
INT. DR. SCHINDLER'S OFFICE - MOMENTS LATER |
Dr. Schindler sits across from Chuck and Jenny. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Are you ok now Chuck? |
He doesn't answer. Jenny nudges him. |
29.
Chuck glares at Dr. Schindler. |
Dr. Schindler glares back. |
CHUCK
So you two know each other? |
DR. SCHINDLER
I'm her therapist. |
JENNY
Yeah, he's been helping me by
giving me advice about this whole
killer thing. |
CHUCK
I could've done that for you. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Who has the license here? |
CHUCK
Clearly no one you fraud! |
Dr. Schindler stands up quickly. Chuck follows. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Let's see who's the fraud by the
end of this. |
They look at her. |
JENNY
Let's all try to get along here. |
Dr. Schindler smiles and stretches out his hand. |
30.
DR. SCHINDLER
But of course. Chuck. |
Chuck ignores the gesture and sits down. Dr. Schneider
retracts his hand and sits down as well. He turns to Jenny,
smiling. |
DR. SCHINDLER
So why don't you tell Mr. Chuck
how you came to find me. |
JENNY
Ummm sure.
(Chuck looks at
her with concern.)
After Donny's funeral, Aunt Hudgen
told me that I should start
looking for a therapist. I looked
online for one that can suit me. I
pretty much lost hope when a paper
flew up onto my doorstep. A paper
for Dr. Schneider. That was the
same day that you and I first met,
Chuck. |
DR. SCHINDLER
What a coincidence! Now,
(He stands up)
jenny, you're excused, and Chuck,
i'd like to talk for a minute or
two. Ok. |
DR. SCHINDLER
He'll be fine. |
Chuck runs up to Jenny and whispers in her ear. |
CHUCK
Run you stupid girl, run.... |
He kisses her cheek and Jenny walks out the door. |
INT. ELI'S HOUSE - EVENING |
Jenny slams her keys on a table. She looks up the stairs. |
31.
No answer. There's a scream. |
She runs up the stairs. When she goes into Eli's room, there
is clothes and stuff everywhere and a huge crack on the
computer screen. On the bed, is a lump. a hand hangs out
from under the covers along with a thing of fake blood.
Jenny screams. Eli comes in. |
Eli runs over to the body. |
Eli uncovers the body and Jenny screams. Chuck falls out of
the bed. Dead. Jenny hangs over Chuck crying. Eli walks over
to her. |
JENNY
Don't be. He was an idiot, But a
smart idiot. |
She flips him over and sees a note. When Eli turns away, she
puts the note in her pocket. Eli looks back at her. |
ELI
Is it a bad time to say I need
breakfast? |
INT. DR. SCHINDLER'S OFFICE - AFTERNOON |
DR. SCHINDLER
How's Chuck? |
32.
DR. SCHINDLER
Well I'm sorry to hear that. He
was sort of a, what's the word? |
DR. SCHINDLER
A dick last time we met. But I
don't think he ever deserved to
die. |
JENNY
Dr. Schindler. I'm ready. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Ready for what? |
JENNY
To tell you about my dreams. |
Dr. Schindler turns off the tape recorder. |
DR. SCHINDLER
I'm listening. |
The dreams scene opens with Jenny kneeling in a room. |
A phone is Ringing in the voiceover. Jenny crumples in fear.
The ringing stops. Eli stands behind her. |
ELI
You're an idiot Jenny......... An
IDIOT! |
Chuck appears in front of her. |
33.
The killer comes up behind Chuck. |
The killer stabs Chuck, then leaves. |
CHUCK
Run YOU STUPID GIRL! RUN! |
She struggles in her spot. |
Donny appears. |
DONNY
Why did you lie to me, Jenny? |
Dr. Schindler appears. |
DR. SCHINDLER
We all care about you. |
DONNY
You lied to me! You said you'd
protect me! YOU SAID I WOULDN'T
DIE! |
JENNY
Donny! I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!
I- |
Eli begins laughing maniacally. |
Mrs. Wexner walks in. |
MRS. WEXNER
Don't talk to my son like that! |
34.
ELI
I've got my mom. Where's yours? |
DR. SCHINDLER
Where's your mom? |
MRS. WEXNER
Where's your mom? |
A Rhythm plays out and doesn't stop until after the next
line. |
JENNY
DEAD OK! SHE'S DEAD! SHE WAS
KILLED IN A CAR ACCIDENT! |
Jenny's mom walks in. |
JENNY'S MOM
Was it really an accident? |
Jenny runs to hug her mom but finds herself hugging the
killer. He pushes her into a chair as the crowd of people
crowd around her. The scene fades out. |
The scene fades back in on Jenny, Now crying. Doctor
Schindler remains emotionless. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Where is you mom, Jenny? |
DR. SCHINDLER
You say she says the car accident
wasn't- wasn't an accident in the
dream? |
35.
He puts his hands into a fist. The table shakes. |
JENNY
Of course it was an accident! The
car hit something when she was
looking back at me and the car
flipped over. |
DR. SCHINDLER
I listened to your story over and
over. How your mother died.
(he stands up and
walks around her.)
If the car was smashed, totaled as
some kids these days might say,
then How is it that you survived
if you were in the car? |
JENNY
I don't know, I guess it was a
miracle- |
DR. SCHINDLER
NO! NO IT WASN'T! |
DR. SCHINDLER
SHE WAS KILLED! IT WAS NO
ACCIDENT! |

As Dr. Schindler is talking, He grabs Jenny's head. A
flashback of Jenny holding a shard of glass and then of her
stabbing her mother. A shot of Jenny jumping out of the car
and the car flipping over again. Then it goes back to
present time. |
DR. SCHINDLER
No...
(He walks to her.)
Daddy Schindler. |
He reaches in for a hug but misses. |
They walk in circles continuously. |
JENNY
You're the one giving me the phone
calls... |
JENNY
I..... I killed my mother! |
JENNY
You're trying to kill me? |
JENNY
No sweetie, Noo... But YES, YES,
YES!! |
He lunges at her but misses. |
37.
DR. SCHINDLER
I'm making your choice now. Life
or Death? |
Jenny Runs out of the door. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Death it is. |
He runs after her. |
INT. ELI'S HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER |
Jenny runs into the house and goes to Eli's room. There are
voices coming from there. |
ELI
Hey babes. Are you Alone?
Company's coming. |
She bursts through the door. Eli is sitting there with his
homemade phone. |
ELI
It's my phone, I can do whatever I
want! |
JENNY
So you call people and tell them
creepy things? |
The phone rings. Eli is about to answer it, but Jenny throws
it and it smashes. |
JENNY
You don't want to answer that.

Jenny stops him. |
JENNY
Listen. Something big is about to
happen. I need you to take out all
the phone systems and close all
the windows. I'll lock the doors. |
JENNY
I can't explain it to you right
now. Just go. Trust me. |
Eli nods and runs to the door but stops in the doorway. |
A flashback of Donny in the chair tied up. |
DONNY
Why'd you lie to me? You said I
wouldn't die. |
Present time. |

INT. ELI'S HOUSE - CONTINUOUS |
Jenny locks the doors and runs down the hall. |
ELI
Yeah. Well sort of, it's just- |
JENNY
I told you to unplug it. |
ELI
I needed to use my computer to
look at something. |
39.
ELI
Well, you're therapist- |
JENNY
How do you know I have a
therapist? |
He points to himself. |
ELI
Dr. Schindler doesn't exist. |
ELI
There no such person as a Cal
Schneider. |
JENNY
I kinda realized that after he had
a nervous breakdown at our last
session. |
ELI
But there's something else. I'm- |
There's a knock at the door. Jenny looks at Eli and then
grabs a knife from her drawer. They walk slowly to the door
but Eli stops halfway. |
ELI
No. No. I've seen horror movies!
DON'T ANSWER THE DOOR! |

40.
ELI
They're gonna get you! |
A really loud knock at the door. The lights go out. |
ELI
This isn't me. It's THEM! |
ELI
All of us! All of us helping the
killer! |
She backs away as as Eli falls to the ground crying. |
Eli is still crying. |
His crying turns into maniacal laughing. Jenny bumps into
someone (Chuck not dead). He whispers in her ear. |
Jenny takes off running. Chuck opens the door and Mrs.
Wexner comes in. |
MRS. WEXNER
Let's kill that bitch. |
She pulls a mask over her head. So does Chuck and Eli. Chuck
helps Eli up. |
41.
CHUCK
You did good Eli. You did good. |
Jenny locks herself in her closet, knife at hand. We hear
footsteps outside the door. They walk away. Jenny breathes
deeply and looks through the cracks seeing if they're still
out there. A knife goes through the cracks and narrowly
misses her eye. She grabs the handle as the killers are
trying to get in. Finally the killers stopped and walked
away. Jenny took a deep breath and ran out of thew closet.
She finds herself in the kitchen. Automatically, there's a
ringing of a phone in the background. A voice fades in in a
ghastly echo. |
DONNY (Echo)

They wouldn't kill me..... YOU

MRS. WEXNER
A plan designed long ago. |

DR. SCHINDLER
A plan to kill you. |

CHUCK
To rip you. Break you. |

KILLER

(He gestures to
Jenny)
The Babysitter. |
The group claps and hollers loudly. |
JENNY
WHAT KIND OF SICK GAME IS THIS??? |
KILLER
A very fun game. Don't you guys
agree? |
Everyone nods. |
43.
KILLER
Thanks for playing. |
JENNY
What do you guys have on me? |
Dr. Schindler, Eli, and Mrs. Wexner takes off their masks. |
DR. SCHINDLER
Your mother was killed in a car
accident and it's all your fault.
But you can't remember doing that
or who we are. |
JENNY
SHE DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT! |
MRS. WEXNER
That you caused! |

JENNY
Then why can't I remember? |

MRS. WEXNER
Of me, Your Aunt Wilma! |

He walks back into the little circle. |
KILLER
I really don't have a reason to
kill you. You seemed alone and I
brought company just like I
promised. |

He gestures to Eli. |
Dr. Schindler and Mrs. Wexner hold her down as Eli walks up
to her. he slashes her on her arm and she screams in pain.
blood trickles down her arm. Then Donny comes up and does
the same. Chuck walks up and stabs one of her legs. Then the
killer slowly walks up and stabs the blade right into her
shoulder. |
KILLER
It hurts huh! 1 years worth of
pain,

knife out as
Jenny screams)

grabs a knife and plunges it into Dr. Schindler's rib cage
and one of Mrs. Wexner's breasts. She grabs the jagged blade
from the killer and slices off chuck's hand. Eli and Donny
start running. the killer grabs another knife and repeatedly
stabs Jenny's arm. jenny Screams in pain and hits him with
the butt of the knife. She runs to the bathroom crying and

door. He lunges at Jenny but misses and lands in her bath
tub. The killer stands up from it. |

He tries getting out of the bathtub, but Jenny kicks him
back in, takes his jagged blade and stabs him repeatedly.
the water turns red with blood. The killer thrashes around
but stops. Before she actually kills him, he says something. |

KILLER

She gives him one last stab and he's dead. She stares at the
dead body in the bathtub of blood. She slowly reaches for
his face to remove his mask. She is about to pull it off and
the camera changed its angle so we can't see who it is. She
gasps and drops the mask to the floor. Blackout. |

This was a very suspenseful and scary screenplay, I only read horror screenplays and this was by far the best. I liked that I felt like this was influenced partly by Scream. |

Great! It's like April Fools' Day meets When A Stranger Calls. |

I think if you elaborated the story a little like maybe the killer isn't really dead and gets her again before the movie ends. Or just add on to the ending |
