SHOT IS STILL IN THE
NIGHT UNTIL CAR
ENTERS SCENE. |

|
Ben opens driver's door and stands observing the parking lot
with a smile. |

|
SHOT FOCUSES ON THE
GROUP EXITING THE
CAR. |
|
|
|
TY (Laughing happily)
(To Heather)
Doesn't it look amazing out here?
If we're lucky the gates won't
even be locked and we can walk
right in. |
|
|
|
|
|
HEATHER (Smiling Wryly)
(To Ty)
I get it I get it, you were right
this time.
(To Ben)
So, you're sure Courtney didn't
want to come with us? |

CLOSE UP ON HEATHER
AS SHE MOVES HER
HEAD TALKING TO TY
THEN BEN |

BEN (Sharply)
(To Heather)
Why? Are you two trying to get rid
of me already? I knew it'd be
weird if I was the only one to
show up. |

SHOT STARTS AIMED AT
BACK OF BEN'S HEAD
AS HE TURNS
VIOLENTLY TOWARDS
CAMERA. |

Ty and Heather look at eachother knowingly while trailing
behind Ben. |

HEATHER (As nice as she can muster)
(To Ben)
Of course its not weird! We love
having you around. |
|

SHOT FOLLOWS THE
CHARACTERS WALKING
THROUGH THE PARKING
LOT. |

TY (Searching for explanation)
(To Ben while
looking at
Heather for
approval)
Its just that I- we both are
worried about how you're doing
lately. Is everything alright? |

SHOT REESTABLISHES
TO BEN UNTIL HE
CATCHES SIGHT OF A
DUMPSTER. |

|

BEN (Sharply)

Yeah yeah I'm just fine- Woah woah

LOOKING BACK AT BOTH

GROWING SMILE. |

BEN (With growing excitement)

That has got to be creepiest thing
I've ever seen! What the hell is

LONE TRASH CAN
UNDERNEATH A SINGLE
LAMP POST EERILY
DISPLAYS A TORN
TEDDY BEAR AS THE
LIGHT FLICKERS. |

BEN (Giddily)

Well, what are we waiting for? |

SHOT SHOWS TY AND
HEATHER. |
|
|
Ty and Heather's faces express that they only are following
along to humor Ben and make him feel better. |
|

SHOT SHOWS TY
OPENING HIS MOUTH TO
BEGIN SAYING
SOMETHING |
|
|
Police siren blares in the near distance of the parking lot,
the group is not supposed to be there. |
|
|
TY (Exasperated)
(To Both)

SHOT SHOWS THE THREE
SPRINTING BACK TO
THEIR CAR. |
|
|
The three are trying to escape before the police arrive. |
|
|
POLICE (Muffled Shouts)
(To All)
Hey! Stop right now! Come back! |

BURSTING INTO THE
CAR. SHOT THEN
TRANSITIONS INSIDE
THE CAR OUT THE
FRONT WINDOW TO SHOW
THEM SPEEDING AWAY. |

CIRCLE NEAR THEIR

That was the wildest thing we've
done in a while! I can't believe
we lost them. Good thing though,
my dad would have ended me if I
had a run in with the cops a month
before graduation. |

Well "best driver" whose the one
who has three traffic tickets? |
|

Ben rolls his eyes knowingly. |
|
|
SHOT FOCUSES ON BEN
CLOSE TO HIS FACE. |
|
|
|
HEATHER (Smiling)
(To Ben)
And who has none? |
|
|

SHOT FOCUSES ON
HEATHER FROM MID
SHOT VIEW |
|
|
She points at herself exaggeratedly. |

TY (Kissing Heather's forehead)
(To Both)
I'm gonna miss you guys, this has
been the best year of my life.
I'll always remem- |

SHOT FOCUSES ON TY.
NOISES EERILY OCCUR
IN THE BACKGROUND. |

|
|
HEATHER (alarmed)
(To Both)
Was I the only one who heard that? |
|
|

SHOT FOCUSES ON
HEATHER AS SHE LOOKS
FROM SIDE TO SIDE TO
FIND THE ORIGIN OF
THE NOISE. |

TY (Dismissively)
(To Heather)
Nah, its probably nothing. You're
paranoid. |
|
|

SHOT PANS TO STILL
SHOT OF CORN FIELD
SWAYING. |
|
|
Siren sounds and police loudspeaker plays. |
|
|
POLICE (Authouritative)
(To ALL)
Come out. Trespassing on public
property is a criminal offense.
Come out with your hands up. |
|
|
|
SHOT FOCUSES ON THE
TRIO AS THEY LISTEN
TO THE COMMANDS. |
|
|
|
BEN (Annoyed)
(To Both)
Damn it! They must've found us.
Alright I've got a plan. I'll take
the car and try to lose them. You
two go through the field and I'll
circle back to pick you up. |
|
|
|
SHOT FOCUSES ON HEAD
SHOT OF BEN |
|
|
|
TY (Arguing)
(To Ben)
You're crazy! They got us man I
say we just go out and deal with
whatever happens. |
|
|
|
HEAD SHOT OF TY WITH
HEATHER CROUCHED
NEXT TO HIM. |
|
|
|
BEN (With finality)
(To Both)
You two aren't getting caught, if
anybody is it'll be me. Now get
out of here before I change my
mind. |
|
|
Ty contemplates arguing but just nods his head and puts his
arm around Heather as they sprint into the field. |
|

SHOT FOCUSES ON TY
AND HEATHER
SPRINTING INTO THE
FIELD. THEN IT
FOCUSES ON BEN
GETTING IN HIS CAR. |

|
Ben fumbles with the keys. |
|
|
SHOT SHOWS KEYS
FOLLOW SLOWLY TO THE
FLOOR OF THE CAR. |
|
|
Ben picks the keys up and starts the car. |
|
|
BEN (Scared)
Sh*t Sh*t Sh*t Sh*t Sh*t. |
|
|
Car roars to life. |
|
|
SHOT DEMONSTRATES
BEN PEELING OUT OF
THE AREA. |
|
|
|
EXT. INSIDE CORN FIELD - NIGHT |
|
Heather and Ty are sprinting while making grunting and
breathing heavily. |
|
|
POV SHOT OF HEATHER
AND TY RUNNING
THROUGH THE CORN
FIELD. |
|
|
Heather trips and Ty stops to help her. |
|
|
HIGH ANGLE POV SHOT
OF BEN AS HE MOVES
TOWARDS HEATHER TO
HELP HER. |

TY (Exhausted)
(To Heather)
Are you alright? Can you stand? |
|
|

SHOT OF HEATHER
TRYING TO STAND. |

Heather desperately tries to stand on her leg but cannot
muster the strength. |
|

HEATHER (Groaning)
(To Ty)
Its my ankle- I- I don't think I
can put weight on it. |
|
|
Ty surveys the corn field turning around 360 degrees. He
kneels down. |
|
|
SHOT FOLLOWS TY IN
THIS PROCESS |
|
|
|
TY (Leaning over)
(To Heather)
Alright... Alright. We'll stop
here for a minute. Lemme see what
I can do with that ankle. |
|
|
Distance noises of Ben presumably being chased by police. |
|
|
TY (Working on Heather's ankle and smiling unbelievably)
(To Heather)
He's crazy. He's actually crazy. |
|
|
|
CLOSE SHOT FOLLOWS
TY LOOK TOWARDS THE
NOISES THEN DOWN TO
HEATHER. |
|
|
Heather gasps in pain as Ty works on her ankle. |
|
|
TY (Reassuring)
(To Heather)
Hey, hey. You're gonna be fine.
Just fine baby hold on I can carry
you. |
|
|
|
SHOT FOLLOWS TY
PICKING UP HEATHER. |
|
|
Noises sound nearby. Not the noises of police, but rustling
of approaching people in the field. |
|
|
TY (Smiling nervously)
(To Heather)
Ok, time to go. |
|
|
|
SHOT FROM BEHIND OF
TY WALKING AWAY WITH
HEATHER. FULL BODY. |
|
|
Noises continue in frequency. Ty looks around nervously and
picks up the pace. |
|
8.
|
|
|
|
HEATHER (Groaning)
(To Ty)
I can try and stand. Let- Let me
try and stand. I can walk. |
|
|
|
|
Ty doesn't seem to hear her, caught up in the fear. |
|
|
WAIST UP SHOT OF TY
CARRYING HEATHER
FROM BEHIND. |
|
|
|
HEATHER (Growing volume)
(To Ty)
Ty. Ty. Ty! TYYYYYYYY! |
|
|
|
|
Yelling pulls Ty out of his trance but his distraction
causes him to trip and fall with Heather in tow. |
|
|
SHOT BEHIND SOME
CORN CAPTURES THIS. |
|
|
Both groan in pain. And wiggle in agony. |
|
|
POV SHOT FROM TY
WHERE HIS EYES
SLOWLY SHUT IN
RESPONSE TO HIS HEAD
BEING HIT.
PRESUMABLY A
CONCUSSION. |
|
|
Ty wakes up again slowly and rises to a sitting position as
he looks around. |
|
|
|
Ty looks around with increasing desperation. |
|
|
TY (Scared)
He- Heather? Heaaaaather?
Heaather! Where are you? |
|
|
|
FULL BODY SHOT OF TY
GETTING UP. |
|
|
Ty begins moving around desperately searching for Heather. |
|
9.
|
|
TY (Growing desperate)
HEATHER. HEATHER! WHERE ARE YOU? |
|
|
|
SHOT ZOOMS ON SINGLE
SPLOTCH OF BLOOD ON
A CORN LEAF. |
|
|
Ty's face becomes horrified with disbelief. Limping, he
follows a trail of clues in the field. |
|
|
CAMERA FOLLOWS THIS
ACTION FROM BEHIND. |
|
|
Ty continues to follow until he finds a bloodied necklace
that belongs to Heather. |
|
|
SHOT IS ANGLED UP
WITH NECKLACE
DIRECTLY IN FRONT
AND TY WALKING INTO
VIEW. |
|
|
|
TY (Terror)
No... No.. What- |
|
|
|
|
Ty fumbles with the necklace and slowly looks up. |
|
|
ANGLE DOWN,
INTIMIDATING VIEW ON
TY. |
|
|
Ty's face is ghast with fear. |
|
|
SHOT IS ANGLE UP
TOWARDS BEN WITH THE
BEATEN HEATHER. |
|
|
Heather is stabbed and actively bleeding. Her eyes are
fluttering with little energy. |
|
|
HEAD SHOT OF TY
GROWING ANGRY. |
|
|
Ty lunges at Ben and begins to beat him. A fistfight ensues. |
|
|
THROUGHOUT THE FIGHT
THE SHOT SHOWS A
FULL VIEW OF THE
FIGHT. |
|
|

|
TY (Angry)
(To Ben)
Why! Why would you do this Ben! |
|
|
|
|
|
BEN (Smiling)
(To Ty)
You'll get what you deserve. |
|
|
The fighting continues to a stalemate. Eventually though, Ty
subdues Ben and gets him on his back. |
|
|
TY (Exhausted)
(To Ben)
Why... Just why. |
|
|
|
|
Ben smiles and looks into the background as police rush in
with handguns at large. |
|
|
|
The police fire on Ty who was standing above Ben. Ben falls,
dead. |
|
|
|
Ben laughs menacingly and with an air of insanity. |
|
|
SHOT FROM IN BETWEEN
CORN STALKS SHOWS
THE SCENE. |
|
|
The police rush in to check on the condition of Ty and
Heather. They apprehend Ben as he continues to laugh
insanely. |
|
FADE OUT. |
|
