FADE IN:

INT. MALL JAIL - DAY

WHITNEY SNOW sits in a chair in an office while HUNTER WOODS
stands in front of her looking very serious. SNOW looks
nervous, but she knows she is innocent.

                       HUNTER
Miss Snow, are you aware that
shoplifting is a punishable
offense?

                       SNOW
      (stoically)
Yes, sir. I would never shoplift,
though. I promise. You can
search my bag.

                       HUNTER
I just might. Women.

                       SNOW
Uh...Officer Woods--

                       HUNTER
      (correctively)
That's Chief Security Officer
Woods.

INT. SNOW'S BEDROOM - DAY

                       SNOW
      (directly to
       camera, as if in
       a documentary)
One girl dislikes you, and all of
a sudden you're in mall jail being
interrogated by a security guard
with a lot of emotional baggage.
Or maybe that's just me.

INT. EVE'S BEDROOM - DAY

EVE QUEEN speaks to the camera as if in a documentary,
smoothing her hair and turning as if trying to determine her
good side.

2.

                       EVE
      (feigning
       innocence)
I don't hate Whitney Snow. I was
simply doing my duty to make sure
nothing in the comic book store
got stolen.

INT. MIRROR MIRROR GAMES AND COMICS - DAY

EVE QUEEN stands near the entrance in a LUNA LIGHTNING
costume. She role plays the character as male customers
pose with her for pictures and she promotes a new LUNA
LIGHTNING comic book release.

Suddenly, there are no more men to take pictures with, and
she sees several guys flocked over by a table of comic
books. She wanders over and sees WHITNEY SNOW in the midst
of them, holding conversation with 3-4 guys about the STORM
SISTERS comic book series.

                       SNOW
My name's Whitney, but people
usually call me Snow. I'm new in
the area, and this is the only
comic book store I could find
listed in this town. Do any of
you know if they have Storm
Sisters #49?

                       MALE CUSTOMER
Storm Sisters 49? The one where
Lady Conundra leaves the Dinashki
warriors behind and trains to
become a sorceress?

                       SNOW
Exactly! I've been looking for it
for a while.

EVE looks jealous and storms away, glaring at SNOW.

INT. EVE'S BEDROOM - DAY

                       EVE
      (to the camera)
I'm a model. Right now I'm just
dressing as some comic book
character at the mall. I know,
totally lame, right? But they pay
me a lot to pose for pictures with
some horny mouth-breathers, so why
            (MORE)

3.

                       EVE (cont'd)
not? They even voted me #1 on
their list of 50 Hottest
Cosplayers. I know...so sweet.

INT. MALL JAIL - DAY

                       EVE
      (to HUNTER)
Excuse me, sir. There's a girl in
Mirror Mirror and I just saw her
put something in her bag.

INT. MIRROR MIRROR GAMES AND COMICS - DAY

SNOW is being escorted out by HUNTER while the gaggle of
guys looks confused and tries to ask what's going on. EVE
stands by looking like the cat that got the cream.

INT. MALL JAIL - DAY

                       SNOW
Chief Security Officer Woods? Are
you alright? I feel like this
isn't really about me shoplifting.

                                         CUT TO HUNTER
SITTING IN A CHAIR
NEXT TO SNOW,
PATHETICALLY HUNCHED
OVER AS IF HE HAS
CRUMBLED UNDER THE
WEIGHT OF HIS
BURDENS.

                       HUNTER
      (mid-sentence)
...so then she told me she wanted
a divorce, and I really loved her,
you know?

                       SNOW
      (sympathetically)
I'm so sorry. That must have been
very hurtful.

                       HUNTER
      (sighs)
Look, I've seen a lot of
delinquents in my day, and I know
a shoplifter when I see one. I
            (MORE)

4.

                       HUNTER (cont'd)
know you didn't do it. You're
just not the type. You can go.

                       SNOW
Thank you, Chief Security Officer
Woods. Am I banned from Mirror
Mirror? It's the only comic book
store in town.

                       HUNTER
Actually, there is another one.
      (grabs post-it
       note and pen,
       writes)
It's called Hi Ho Comics. Little
hole-in-the-wall type-place, and
it's not listed, but it has a
better selection and the employees
actually know comics. Here's the
address.

INT. MIRROR MIRROR GAMES AND COMICS - DAY

                       HUNTER
      (to EVE)
Miss, the shoplifter has been
dealt with and will not be back to
Mirror Mirror.

EVE turns to the camera and smiles a wicked smile, just as a
young man comes up to her with a camera.

INT. EVE'S BEDROOM - DAY

                       EVE
      (to the camera)
My mother always told me not to
let anyone stand in my way. How
do you think I was crowned prom
queen all four years? Or
Christmas Queen at the Winter
Festival for the past seven years?
Or Miss Valentine Sweetheart?
Well, you get the idea. I've
always been the fairest in the
mall.

5.

INT. SNOW'S BEDROOM - DAY

                       SNOW
      (to the camera)
Officer Woods told me that the
Luna Lightning cosplayer is the
one who accused me. I have no
idea why. I hadn't even touched
anything in there. She had a
great costume, though...but I
digress. I guess I won't be going
back to Mirror Mirror...so
hopefully this Hi Ho place is
good, because if this town doesn't
have an acceptable comic book
store, I don't even know if I can
live here.

FADE OUT.

Interesting spin on that story. If you're looking to make 30 Minute episode I would add some more dialogue, its a bit short. I especially love the adult Humor. Check out my TV Pilot "Private Security"
