COLLIDING MEMORIES
INT. ATLAS'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT |
Atlas sits up on the couch from her nap, shocked at another
memory of Levi. She stretches and gets up. |
ATLAS
I should get started on that
paperwork. |
Atlas climbs the stairs to her room where her computer is to
work on the paperwork. |
INT. ATLAS'S BEDROOM - NIGHT |
Atlas finishes up her paperwork for the night, exshausted |
ATLAS
Okay now that that's done, I
should head to bed. I hope I don't
have another memory. |
Switching off the computer, Atlas changes for bed and climbs
under the covers. But she doesn't fall asleep, she lays
awake, thinking. |
ATLAS
(Whispers)
Why can't I get you out of my
head? It's been 10 years since I
saw you but you still cloud my
mind. |
She closes her eyes, finally falling into sleeps arms with
him on her mind. |
EXT. ATLANTIS - DAY |
Atlas stands behind the register, helping Mary with the
customers. |
MARY
Thanks for coming to help, Atlas,
I don't know what I would have
done with that rush of people
earlier. |
2.
ATLAS
No problem! I may own this place
but I love to help out when I can.
How's the kiddos? |
MARY
(Smiles)
Their a handful, Brian just
started middle school so that's
interesting. |
ATLAS
(Laughs)
I bet, I miss the little buggers.
When are they going to come back
in? |
Atlas rings up the customer in front of her while looking
around. |
MARY
We can all go out for lunch
tomorrow if you want? It's a
weekend so they don't have school. |
ATLAS
(Excited)
Sure! I cant wait to see them! Its
almost 3 now, I can finish up here
so you can get home to them. |
MARY
Thanks, I'll see you tomorrow at 1
by the café? |
ATLAS
(Nods)
Yeah, see you tomorrow. Bye Mary! |
Mary grabs her bag and leaves, the door clicking shut behind
her. |
After Mary leaves, a guy walks in behind her. |
ATLAS
(thinks)
Wow, his blue eyes are striking.
And his brown hair makes them look
brighter. |
The mysterious guy walks around for a bit before grabbing
something and heads towards her. |
3.
(thinks)
Is it really her? After all this
time could it really be her? |
ATLAS
Okay, that will be $14.78. |
He pays and his hand brushes hers when he reaches. |
Um. I was wondering if you'd like
to get coffee after your shift? |
ATLAS
(raises eyebrow)
Like a date? |
No! Uh I mean more like to hang
out? |
ATLAS
(Laughs)
Alright, well this place is pretty
dead right now so let me close up
and we can go. |
ATLAS
No I think I can manage. You wait
here. |
Atlas moves from behind the counter and moves towards the
door to switch the sign to closed. |
Atlas heads back to the unknown guy and smiles. |
ATLAS
(thinks)
For some reason I feel like I can
trust him. |
4.
They leave together, heading towards the nearby café. |
EXT. CAFE - EVENING |
So what made you move out here? |
ATLAS
How did you know I didn't grow up
here? |
ATLAS
You know there's something
familiar about you... |
ATLAS
Yeah, but I can't figure out why. |
Maybe I have one of those faces? |
(thinks)
Oh no, she might figure it out. I
knew I should have stayed away... |
ATLAS
It's getting pretty late, I think
we've been here for like 2 hours. |
Oh wow, I didn't even realize. Can
I walk you home? |
5.
They get up and head out again, the sun just setting. |
Atlas takes his hand in hers, smiling to herself |
EXT. OUTSIDE ATLAS'S HOUSE - EVENING |
They walk in silence and eventually end up at her door. |
ATLAS
Well goodnight I suppose. |
ATLAS
Do you want to come in? I have
movies and popcorn? |
NOAH
That sounds nice, yeah. |
Noah climbs the steps beside her and they go inside. |
INT. ATLAS'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT |
Noah sits on the couch while Atlas makes popcorn. |
ATLAS
Hope you like yours with a lot of
butter. |
NOAH
(thinks)
She still likes butter on her
popcorn. Same old Atlas. |
6.
Atlas comes back in and puts the popcorn on the table,
sitting on the couch. |
ATLAS
Oooo I love this movie! Star Trek
is amazing! |
NOAH
Haha, still your favorite huh? |
ATLAS
What? Still my favorite? |
ATLAS
No, stop lying. That's not the
first time you've said something
like that today. I want answers,
who are you? |
NOAH
We went to high school together,
you didn't talk to me but I
sometime heard you talking about
this movie. |
ATLAS
Okay...Let's just watch the movie. |
INT. ATLAS'S LIVING ROOM - MORNING |
Atlas wakes up in Noah's arms and wonders how she got there. |
NOAH
Morning sleeping beauty. |
ATLAS
I must have fell asleep last
night. Sorry about falling asleep
on you. |
ATLAS
Well since you're already here, do
you want some breakfast? |
7.
ATLAS
Noah it's fine, I can handle
cooking. |
Atlas gets up to cook. |
NOAH
Hey Atlas, can I take a shower? |
ATLAS
Yeah sure, the bathroom is through
that door there. |
Noah heads to the bathroom and shuts the door behind him. |

Atlas cooks breakfast and sets out the food. |
